A light on my path
! The other night we attended church and had a great time of worship. When the service was over, in customary fashion the people walked together in groups to their homes. We were not far from the church when the street lights began to ash and suddenly went out. The remark was made that Lord blessed us to allow the lights to remain on throughout the service. Electricity going o" is normal in Balfate, it happens on a regular basis but this night seemed very special. You see the moon was full and its light was brilliant. Our group walked without the need of a ashlight and it reminded me of; Psalms 119 # 105 Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path. The Lord lights our path whether the electricity is on or not. He is always there. Sometimes it is the little things that reveal His presence. The electricity was o" for 23 hours due to a transformer failure. Fortunately, we were not in the freezing cold that many of you have been experiencing. Praise God for being our lamp and the light of the world.

Balfate Church We will be there soon

! Reporting on the construction: the Central Supply project is 98$ complete. Most of the supplies have been moved in and organized. This means we are ready to move forward to the next step. The old supply storage area is going to become the labor and delivery area. The number of baby deliveries is growing. In 2013 164 babies were delivered at the hospital. This is an increase from 132 in 2012. In 2014 we are expecting 15 to 20$ more! The new L&D will have two beds instead of one, they will share a much needed restroom and have more space for the required equipment.

! Dr. Mackenzie Slater, pictured here is a new addition to the hospital sta", and will help with the increase maternity care. She comes to us from Juneau, Alaska # quite a di"erence in climate. We are grateful that she has come and look forward to serving with her. ! You can meet her and the other missionaries at LDL on our website or click here. http://www.crstone.org/missionaries/slater
