In Great Britian there are two types of schools: independent schools and state schools. These types of schools attended the "a)ority of the En#land*s #o!ern"ent. 'hen yo are fro" a poor fa"ily and yo *re #ifted$ the school or so"e o#anisation can #i!e yo a scholarship. In these schools yo s ally ha!e to wear a nifor"$ which incl des )ac+et$ collar or a tie and tro sers. These schools are "ainly ,oardin# schools. It "eans that the school has so"e +ind of dor"itory where p pils$ who li!e far away fro" the school$ can sleep. Chlidren in Great Britian s ally start attendin# school at the a#e of -. Before that$ they can #o to a +inder#arten or a n rsery school. After this they #o to primary school .-/01 where they learn how to write and read. These schools are "ore infor"al$ how children #row p it ,eco"es "ore for"al. After pri"ary school they attend junior school .0/221 where they spend a lot of ti"e on doin# handicrafts and other arts. Then ,eco"es secondary education. Children can #o to different types of schools. The first one is Grammar school$ it*s #ood for p pils$ who want to #o to a ni!ersity. There are "any scientific s ,)ects in these schools. The second one is Secondary modern school$ it pro!ides #eneral ed cation with an enphasis on practical acti!ities. The third one is Secondary technical school $ ed cation relates to id stry$ co""erce and a#ric lt re. The last one is comprehensive school. 3a)ority of p pils attend this school$ ,eca se children are accepted re#ardless their a,ilities. At the a#e of 24 p pils do their GCSE exam .General Certificate of (econdary Ed cation1. After that they can #o to wor+$ to % rther Ed cation Colle#e .%E1 or they can st dy for GCE exam .General Certificate of Ed cation1$ also +nown as A-levels.
