LAST WEEKS HIGHLIGHTS @ Springfield (3/22): A complete team effort gave the Manchester Monarchs a 5-2 victory over the Springfield Falcons at MassMutual Center on Saturday night. Right wing Brian ONeill scored twice and centers Hunter Bishop, Linden Vey, and Jordan Weal each added tallies for the Monarchs. Defenseman Danny Urban and left wing Dana Tyrell registered goals for the Falcons. Monarchs netminder J.F. Berube (24-15-2) earned his 24th win of the season, stopping 18-of-20 shots. Falcons goaltender Mike McKenna (20-8-1) took his eighth loss of the season with 18 saves on 22 shots. Manchester was 1-for-4 on the power play. Springfield went 1-for-8 with the man advantage. vs. Hershey (3/23): Right wing Zach OBrien and defenseman Andrew Bodnarchuk tallied power play goals as the Manchester Monarchs earned a 2-1 victory over the Hershey Bears at the Verizon Wireless Arena on Sunday afternoon. Defenseman Julien Brouillette scored the lone goal for the Bears. Monarchs goaltender J.F. Berube (25-15-2) collected his 25th victory of the season, stopping 19-of-20 shots. Bears netminder Philipp Grubauer (11-11-1) took his 11th loss of the season with 34 saves on 36 shots. Manchester was 2-for-2 on the power play. Hershey went 0-for-2 with the man advantage. MONARCHS NEWS & NOTES The Manchester Monarchs (42-17-2-6) are ranked first in the Atlantic Division with 92 points. The St. Johns IceCaps (41-20-1-3) rank second in the division with 86 points. The Providence Bruins (34-23-2-7) sit in third place in the Atlantic Division with 77 points. The Worcester Sharks (31-29-3-1) are ranked fourth in the Atlantic Division with 66 points. The Portland Pirates (23-30-2-8) sit in fifth place in the division with 56 points. The Monarchs are ranked 26th in the American Hockey League on the power play with 41 goals on 270 attempts. Manchester is tied for 18th place in the league on the penalty kill stopping their opponent 230-of-283 times. The Monarchs have had the most success on Saturdays (18-5-0-1). -More-

Weal is ranked fifth in the AHL with 41 assists. Weal is tied for seventh place in the AHL with 58 points. Weal is tied with left wing Tanner Pearson (17-15=32) for second place on the Monarchs with 17 goals each. Weal and right wing Brian ONeill (21-16-37) are tied for second place amongst forwards in the AHL with a plus/minus rating of plus-22 Center Linden Vey (12-30=42) ranks second on the Monarchs with 42 points. Vey ranks second on the team with 30 assists. Vey has also collected five assists in 18 games with the Los Angeles Kings this season. ONeill ranks third on the Monarchs with 37 points. ONeill leads the team with 21 goals this season.

ONeill, right wing Zach OBrien (10-16=26), and right wing Tyler Toffoli (15-8=23) are tied for first place on the Monarchs with four gamewinning goals each. ONeill registered his first two professional hat tricks in consecutive weekends, collecting three goals in both the Monarchs 4-2 win over the Adirondack Phantoms on Friday, March 7 and in a 7-0 victory over the Bridgeport Sound Tigers on Friday, March 14. ONeill also collected three points (2-1=3) against the Springfield Falcons in Saturdays 5-2 victory. ONeill has scored five goals in his last four games, and eight tallies in his last seven games. Forward Nick Shore (14-22=36) ranks fourth on the Monarchs with 36 points. Shore ranks fourth on the team with 22 assists. Pearson is ranked fifth on the Monarchs with 32 points. Pearson has recorded two points, both goals, in 16 games with the Kings this season. He was recalled to Los Angeles on Tuesday, February 18. Defenseman Brayden McNabb (7-24=31) is ranked sixth on the Monarchs with 31 points. McNabbs 24 assists are third on the team. -More-

MONARCHS NEWS & NOTES (CONTINUED) Left wing Andy Andreoff (9-20=29) is ranked seventh on the Monarchs with 29 points. Andreoff leads the Monarchs with 120 penalty minutes. OBrien ranks eighth on the Monarchs with 26 points this season. OBrien recorded his first four-point game of the season, collecting two goals and two assists against Bridgeport on Friday, March 14. Defenseman Andrew Bodnarchuk (7-18=25) is ranked ninth on the Monarchs with 25 points. Bodnarchuk ranks second on the Monarchs and third in the AHL with a plus/minus rating of plus-34. Toffoli and right wing Scott Sabourin (10-13=23) are tied for 10th place on the Monarchs with 23 points each. Toffoli has 11 goals and 14 assists for 25 points in 51 games with the Kings. He was recalled to Los Angeles on Tuesday, February 18. Right wing Sean Backman (7-14=21) ranks 12th on the Monarchs with 21 points. Right wing James Livingston (6-14=20) is 13th on the Monarchs with 20 points this season. Defenseman Vincent LoVerde (2-15=17) ranks 14th on the team with 17 points. LoVerde leads the Monarchs and ranks second in the AHL with a plus-37 rating.

Defenseman Andrew Campbell (3-12=15) is the all-time games played leader in Monarchs history with 411 games played. He is the only player in franchise history to play in at least 400 games. Center Colin Fraser (3-2=5) made his Monarchs debut against the Falcons on Friday, February 21. The veteran forward has played in 358 National Hockey League games with the Kings, Edmonton Oilers, and Chicago Blackhawks, and has two Stanley Cup championships on his resume. Fraser scored his first goal in a Monarchs uniform in a 5-4 victory over the Pirates on Saturday, February 22. The last AHL goal he scored was for the Rockford IceHogs when he collected a goal and two assists in the teams 5-3 win over the Iowa Stars on April 13, 2008. Goaltender Martin Jones made his NHL debut with the Kings against the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday, December 3. He backstopped the Kings to a 3-2 shootout victory, including going 9-for-9 in the shootout. Jones picked up his first NHL shutout by stopping all 16 shots he faced in the Kings 3-0 victory over the New York Islanders on Saturday, December 7. The rookie netminder then stopped all 31 shots he faced in the Kings 6-0 shutout of the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday, December 10. In 16 games with the Kings, Jones has collected a record of 10-5-0, a .932 save percentage, a 1.90 goals-against-average, and three shutouts. He was recalled to Los Angeles on Monday, February 24. Jones eight wins tied the NHL record for consecutive winning games to start an NHL career with netminder Bob Froese who won his first eight games with the Philadelphia Flyers during the 1982-83 season. -More-

MONARCHS NEWS & NOTES (CONTINUED) Jones is the first goaltender in NHL history to allow an average of less than one goal per game while winning the first eight appearances of his career. Jones is the third goaltender in NHL history to record three shutouts in his first six starts. Goaltender Flat Walsh accomplished the feat with the New York Americans during the 1928-29 season and netminder Frank Brimsek did it with the Boston Bruins during the 1938-39 season. Jones has an overall record of 16-3-3 with a 2.13 goals-against-average, a .928 save percentage, and two shutouts in 22 games with the Monarchs this season. Jones leads all AHL goaltenders with a .928 save percentage this season and ranks third in the league with a goals-against-average of 2.13. Jones ranks in the top 10 all-time in the following Monarchs goaltending categories: Games played 158 first place Wins 84 first place Losses 57 first place Ties/Shootout Losses 10 second place Goals-against-average 2.42 eighth place Save percentage .921 tied for seventh place Shutouts 12 third place Saves 4,280 first place Goaltender J.F. Berube registered a 14-8-2 record in 24 consecutive starts during Jones first stint with the Kings. Berube set a franchise record for consecutive appearances by a goaltender with 20 games on December 29. His current record-setting streak sits at 24 consecutive games. He surpassed the feat of 19 games set by netminders Travis Scott from February 19 March 22, 2003, and Jason LaBarbera from November 19 December 29, 2006. Berube has collected a 25-15-2 record with a 2.40 goals-against-average and a .914 save percentage in 41 games with the Monarchs this season. Berube is ranked fifth in the AHL with 2452:37 minutes played, tied for second place with 25 wins, and ranked ninth with 1039 saves this season. Berube recorded his first AHL shutout by stopping all 28 shots he faced in the Monarchs 6-0 win over the IceCaps on Saturday, January 18. He recorded his second shutout by stopping all 23 shots he faced the 7-0 victory over Bridgeport on Friday, March 14. He was recalled by the Kings for the first time on February 7. He was reassigned to Manchester on Monday, February 24. Monarchs Promotions Fan Appreciation Night The Monarchs are celebrating the best fans in the AHL when they host the Portland Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 12.
