International Conference on , vol.2, no., pp.279,282, 16-18 Oct. 2009 doi: 10.1109/ICEET.2009.306 Abstract: This paper presents a single-phase auto-reclose study of a 1000 kV AC transmission line. The technology of auto-reclose has been widely used on the transmission lines in our country. The purpose is to make the fault line re-run after the temporary fault elimination. As most of the faults are transient in nature, the autoreclose can greatly improve the reliability of the electricity and the stability of the power system, running side by side. The setting time of the conventional single-phase auto-reclose is determined by a fixed value, when the single-phase opens, auto-reclose recloses at the fixed-time regardless of the fault existence or not, as well as the secondary arc current. In this paper, the issue is given a reasonable solution. According to the arc eliminating time, the dynamic reclosing time is determined. keywords: {arcs (electric);power system stability;power transmission control;power transmission lines;power transmission reliability;UHV transmission lines;fault line;power system reliability;power system stability;secondary arc current;shunt reactors;single-phase adaptive auto-reclose;temporary fault elimination;voltage 1000 kV;Analytical models;Inductors;Power system reliability;Power system stability;Power system transients;Power transmission lines;Shunt (electrical);Transmission line theory;Transmission lines;Voltage;Arc model;Secondary Arc;Single-phase Adaptive Autoreclosure;Ultra-High Voltage (UHV)}, URL: http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/stamp/stamp.jsp?tp=&arnumber=5367150&isnumber=5362517 Sanaye-Pasand, M.; Kadivar, A., "Design of an online adaptive auto-reclose algorithm for HV transmission lines," Power India Conference, 2006 IEEE , vol., no., pp.5 pp.,, 0-0 0 doi: 10.1109/POWERI.2006.1632609 Abstract: This paper proposes an adaptive auto-reclose scheme for high voltage transmission lines. It presents application of wavelet transform in identification of transient and permanent faults by processing the fault generated high frequency voltage transients. It can also be utilised to determine adaptive reclosure time with capturing arc extinction time. A nonlinear time dependent dynamic resistance representation of the primary and secondary arcs is developed as well. Performance of the proposed method is validated by some simulation studies. Some simulations are carried out on a typical 400 kV circuit for various system and fault conditions and obtained results are presented in the paper keywords: {arcs (electric);fault location;high-voltage engineering;power system transients;power transmission faults;power transmission lines;wavelet transforms;400 kV;HV transmission line;arc extinction;high frequency voltage transient;nonlinear time dependent dynamic resistance;online adaptive auto-reclose algorithm;permanent fault identification;wavelet transform;Algorithm design and analysis;Circuit faults;Circuit simulation;Fault diagnosis;Frequency;Nonlinear dynamical systems;Power system transients;Transmission lines;Voltage;Wavelet transforms}, URL: http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/stamp/stamp.jsp?tp=&arnumber=1632609&isnumber=34235 Xiangning Lin; Bing Wang; Xiangli Deng; Bo, Z.Q.; Klimek, A., "A Novel Adaptive Reclosure Criterion For EHV Transmission Line," Developments in Power System Protection, 2008. time to reclose breaker after a tripping operation. There are many problems due to the conventional reclosure schemes. In this paper, a self-adaptive auto-reclosure criterion using dual-window transient energy ratio (ER) for transmission line is proposed. A novel concept of close-opening - open-closing morphological gradient (COOCG) is put forward. COOCG has lower unbalanced output when processing the steady-state signal, and a better performance in extracting of high-frequency(HF) energy of the voltages, therefore, the threshold of ER can be lowered to improve the successful rate of fault discrimination. Many simulation results for the models established with EMTP show that COOCG is promising to be used in the real power systems. keywords: {EMTP;fault diagnosis;power transmission faults;power transmission lines;transient analysis;EHV transmission line;EMTP;close-opening-open-closing morphological gradient;dual-window transient energy ratio;fault discrimination;high frequency energy;power system stability;real power systems;self-adaptive autoreclosure criterion;steady-state signal;Band pass filters;Circuit faults;Integrated circuit modeling;Noise;Power system stability;Power system transients;Transient analysis}, URL: http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/stamp/stamp.jsp?tp=&arnumber=4496971&isnumber=4496940 He Renwang, "A New Approach to the Calculation of Reclosing Time for Adaptive Auto-reclosure," Power and Energy Engineering Conference (APPEEC), 2010 Asia-Pacific , vol., no., pp.1,2, 28-31 March 2010 doi: 10.1109/APPEEC.2010.5448457 Abstract: Adaptive reclose can remarkably enhance power system reliability.
