MEASURES OF CORRELATION

The Grade 10- Night Class having 15 students has been surveyed on the number of hours spent in studying their 60- item examination in Physics. After the examination, their individual scores have been collected. Calculate the correlation value using Pearson Product Correlation and Spearman Rho Correlation. Interpret the relationship between the two variables.

As we seen in the table presented above, it is observed that the students who spend more time studying for their examination will more likely got higher scores compared to those students who spend less time studying. In short, the number of hours spent in studying for a certain subject affects the scores obtained after examination.

CONCLUSION
WITH THE RESULT OF THE CORRELATION BETWEEN THE NUMBER OF HOURS SPENT IN STUDYING FOR AN EXAMINATION WITH THE SCORES OBTAINED, WHICH IS HIGH CORRELATION, WE CAN CONCLUDE THAT THERE IS A RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE TWO VARIABLES. ONE VARIABLE CAN AFFECT THE OTHER VARIABLE. THE NUMBER OF HOURS SPENT IN STUDYING CAN AFFECT THE SCORE FOR AN EXAMINATION.THE LONGER THE HOUR SPENT IN STUDYING, THE HIGHER THE SCORE YOU CAN GET. OTHERWISE, THE SHORTER TIME SPENT IN STUDYING, THE LOWER THE SCORE YOU CAN GET.

LESSON LEARNED:
STUDENTS SHOULD SPENT MORE TIME IN STUDYING THEIR LESSONS SO THAT THEY CAN GET A HIGHER GRADE.
