Benvid@s ao III Festival Didctico de Cinema de Animacin do IES Ramn M Aller Ulloa ANIRMAU13. Un ano mis, Laln volve converterse na capital galega do cinema de animacin, un feito s posible grazas ao esforzo e experiencia acumulada durante estes anos. Velaqu a edicin 2013, un ano de cambio, unha nova proposta na que as longametraxes de animacin sern as protagonistas. Esperamos que este novo enfoque acade o mesmo xito logrado nas das edicins anteriores. Sen dbida, afrontar cambios sempre un tarefa difcil e arriscada, mis anda ao tratarse dunha competicin enfocada exhibicin de longametraxes. Tratbase dun mbito indito no noso festival que finalmente puidemos levar cara a adiante. Son sete filmes en competicin chegados doutros tantos lugares do mundo, unha mostra mis da nosa capacidade de convocatoria internacional, aspecto que sempre foi o noso sinal de identidade. Un percorrido nico marcado pola diversidade cultural, temtica, estilstica, tcnica... Propostas todas elas que agradarn aos mis variados espectadores. En lias xerais, esta edicin supn avances, mais tamn se move nunhas lias mis sobrias con respecto a anos pasados, principalmente en canto ao enfoque cuantitativo, nunca no cualitativo. A nosa programacin compltase con catro longametraxes mis: as galegas O Apstolo (apertura) e Nocturna (clausura), ademais de Las aventuras de Tadeo Jones e Gartxot, obrigadas propostas pedagxicas da presente edicin. Tampouco faltarn curtametraxes, un obradoiro de stop-motion, e outra das novidades deste ano, un concerto monogrfico con msica de pelculas. Un programa completo para un festival que intenta ampliar horizontes unha vez mis no noso marco cultural. Grazas e bo festival.

Welcome to 3rd Didactic Animation Film Festival of IES Ramn M Aller Ulloa ANIRMAU13. Another year, Laln once again becomes the Galician capital of animated film, a fact only possible through the efforts and experience accumulated over the last years. Here we present the 2013 edition, a year of change, a new proposal in which animated feature films will be showcased, a new approach that we hope to reach the same success achieved in the two editions predecessors. No doubt cope with changes is always a difficult and risky task, especially since it is a competition focused on the exhibition of feature films. This is a area unprecedented in our festival we were able finally carry forward. They are 7 films in competition arrivals as many parts of the world, another example of our international ability to convene, something that was always our hallmark. A unique journey marked by a diversity cultural, thematic, stylistic, technical... All proposals that will please the most varied audiences. Broadly this edition involves advancements, but also moves in a more sober lines over the past years, particularly in terms of the quantitative approach, never in quality. Our programming is completed with four more feature films: the Galician O Apstolo (opening) and Nocturna (closing), plus Tad, the Lost Explorer and Gartxot, required pedagogical approaches of this edition. Not to miss short films, a stop-motion workshop, and one of the novelties of this year, a monographic concert with film music. A complete program for a festival that tries to break barriers again in the cultural sphere of Laln. Thank you all and good festival.

EMILIO DE LA ROSA (Espaa / Spain)

Director e produtor, terico e historiador do cinema de animacin. Autor de varios libros sobre este xnero en Espaa. Desde 1998 profesor de Historia de Cinema de Animacin na ESDIP, onde tamn produce e coordina as curtametraxes de fin de carreira. Ten participado tamn como programador e asesor en festivais como Animateruel, ALCINE e Animadrid. Director and producer, theorist and historian of animated cinema. Author of several books on this genre in Spain. Since 1998 he teaches History of Animated Cinema at ESDIP, where he also produces and coordinates graduation short films. He has also participated as a programmer and consultant in festivals like Animateruel, ALCINE and Animadrid.

MANUEL PENA (Galiza / Galicia)

Director, guionista e produtor de curtametraxes. A sa pera prima foi a curta Hipotlamo (2002). Logra os seus xitos internacionais mis importantes coas curtametraxes Metamorfose (2004), dirixida por Fran Estvez; e A cancin de Fmerlin (2005), da que foi director, produtor, guionista e director de arte. Na actualidade, dirixe o festival de curtas FIC Bueu. Director, writer and producer of short films. His debut was the short film Hipotlamo (2002). Its major international successes achieved with the short films Metamorfose (2004), directed by Fran Estvez and A cancin de Fmerlin (2005), of which he was director, producer, writer and art director. Currently, he directs the short film festival FIC Bueu.

INMACULADA CASTAO (Espaa / Spain)

Experta en mercadotecnia, xestin de vendas e medios de comunicacin. Tras unha longa experiencia no eido audiovisual, en 2008 nomeada Delegada da produtora Filmax en Galicia, Asturias, Portugal e Marrocos. Exerce tamn como produtora executiva dos filmes galegos da compaa, entre eles The Way (2010), a televisiva Reliquias (2011), e a animada Copito de nieve (2012). Expert in marketing, sales management and media. After a long experience in the audiovisual field, in 2008 she was appointed Delegated of the Filmax company in Galicia, Asturias, Portugal and Morocco. Also serves as executive producer on the Galician films of the company, including The Way (2010), the televising Reliquias (2011), and the animated Copito de nieve (2012).

Co remate da gala, proxectarase o filme gaador na sala principal dos Cines Filmax Pontias. The prizes relating to 3rd Didactic Animation Film Festival of IES Ramon Maria Aller Ulloa ANIRMAU13 will be presented on April 13th 2013 at the Pontias CC y de Ocio Gadis. At the end of the gala, the winning film will be screened in the main cinema room of Cines Filmax Pontias.

Sinister old people, odd disappearances, spirits, a strange parish priest and even the archpriest of Santiago de Compostela will all meet in a tale full of terror, humour, and fantasy.

Comedy, tango and emotion that reveals the hidden soul of Buenos Aires. Four episodes that reflect the different aspects and corners of the city from various and original aesthetics. A dance couple connects the different stories through drawing animated choreographies on the Buenos Aires walls. Neighborhood butchers overwhelmed by competition, teenagers who use their love to paint the city with colors, dying criminals to remember your whole life in a second, and tango legends looking for their dreamed girl.

Esta a visualizacin dos anhelos dun carteiro que cumpre co seu deber, a pesar de todos os problemas e distraccins.

Is it possible to reach the moon in one breath? Yes, it is if you have the will to fly and the appropriate training. This is the case with postman Rain. This is not simply the journey of a postman to deliver the package to the Moon. It is also a philosophical journey in time and eras, through people and their characters, through thaugths and imagination. This is a visual version of thoughts and imagination of a postman who is fulfilling his task inspite of all problems and distractions.

Esta a luz dun ceo estrelado especial que enfeita a Terra unha vez cada dez mil anos. Os cientficos estn moi felices co que a tremenda forza da luz produciu: o alimento-soo, dicir, Midori-ko.

In anticipation of the coming food crisis, five scientists are working to develop a dream food, one that is both meat and vegetable. But, progress in the laboratory, located amidst a derelict shopping district, has hit a dead end. One day, in the wee hours of the night, a pillar of light penetrates the lab. This is the light of a special starry sky that graces the Earth only once every ten thousand years. The scientists are overjoyed at what the lights tremendous force has produced: the dream food that is Midori-ko.

This is the history of the universe across 15 acts. The narrative begins with the creation of the world, the first and the last acts frame the story that show us Adam and Eve travelling through space and time in search of the meaning of life with the guidance of Lucifer himself. The first human couple travels from the Paradise through prehistoric times, the ancient Egypt, Hellas, Rome, the medieval Byzantine Empire, Keplers Prague, the French Revolution to the London of the XIX Century, then the story rushes us through the last 150 years of Europe and we get an insight to the future.

A series of dark and troubling events force Bill to reckon with the meaning of life. First, he has trouble remembering things and the sights and sounds of the world are sometimes overwhelming. Second, the sudden death of a loved one casts a further shadow over his recovery. Finally, Bill finds himself in a hospital struggling with your memory problems in an attempt to piece together his shattering psyche.

After murdering his wife, Hwang Kyung-min, a businessman on the verge of bankruptcy, finds an old classmate, Jung Jong-suk, he hasnt seen for fifteen years. During a reunion dinner they look back on their school days, hiding their present situations. Back then there was class distinctions amongst students. They use to call the dogs a group of students particularly cruel, richer and more successful. The dogs exercised a reign of terror by hazing and bullying weaker students, the pigs.

Un cientfico tolo contrata dous inimigos mortais de Mauricio, os skinheads Zenek e Stefan, que deben apoderarse dos seus xenes para crear un clon ourizo. Tras traballos nun laboratorio secreto, o clon nace e, de speto, convrtese nun dolo de masas, complicando seriamente a vida de Mauricio e arruinando a sa reputacin no acto. O ourizo deber defender a sa identidade e, sobre todo, a sa amada Jola.

George the Hedgehog, an inveterate womanizer, big fan of skateboard and couple of pints after hours becomes a key point in the master plan of a genetic manipulations freak. The crazy scientist hires two deadly enemies of George, the skinheads, Zenek and Stefan. Their job is to get hold of Georges genes in order to create the Hedgehogs clone. Some secret laboratory work and the clone is born and quickly becomes a multi-media idol, severely complicating Georges life and ruining his reputation in the meantime. The Hedgehog fights back for his identity and, above all, his beloved Jola.

A piques de emprender a viaxe, o arquelogo sofre un inoportuno accidente e Tadeo debe substitulo na expedicin.

Tadeo always wanted to become a famous archaeologist and adventurer. However spends his days dreaming between cranes and cement of the work where he works. The opportunity to fulfill their dreams is when his friend, a renowned archaeologist, receives a mysterious stone tablet, the key that leads to the Lost City of Paititi and his legendary treasure. A point of the journey, the archaeologist suffers an untimely accident and who should replace him is Tadeo in the expedition.

ESPAA - SPAIN / 2011 / 85 / 2D CGI o sculo XII en Navarra e o Camio de Santiago est en pleno apoxeo. O novo abate de Roncesvales desterra a Gartxot, o bardo local, para quedar coa voz prodixiosa do seu fillo Mikelot e convertelo nun monxe cantor. Mikelot consegue escapar do convento e canta de novo xunto ao seu pai. Os seus cantos convrtense nun smbolo contra a opresin. A Igrexa non est disposta a aceptar esa afronta e enva os seus temidos monxes guerreiros caza do bardo. As comeza a traxedia, as comeza a conquista.

Gartxot is the story of a minstrel from the Pyrenees who is sent to exile by the new Abbot of Roncevallis to capture his only son, Mikelot and convert him into a singing monk. The child manages to escape and sings once again beside his father having him promise to never let them lock him up in the monastery again. Their songs become a symbol of the struggle against oppression. Time and time again with the help of folk, they manage to shake the authorities off. In the end, as authorities manage to surround them, Gartxot remembers his promise to his son leading to a tragedy that will always be remembered.

Hai pouco mis dun ano, o Festival de Cine Espaol de Mlaga abra unha interesante vent ao campo do cinema de animacin: ANIMAZINE. A organizacin do festival en colaboracin con Diboos (Federacin Espaola de Asociaciones de Productoras de Animacin) daba as un paso cara a adiante na busca de promover a animacin espaola, dedicndolle unha merecida seccin completa. O resultado non puido ser mis positivo, xa que a proposta contou cun programa moi completo conformado por proxeccins de longametraxes (6 filmes), curtametraxes (19 filmes), presentacin de proxectos, cinefrums, clases maxistrais, obradoiros, exposicins... Ao abeiro deste xito, o Festival de Mlaga brndanos a sa colaboracin para ofrecernos algunha das curtas mis interesantes da sa competicin, catro exemplos totalmente inditos no noso festival.

A little over a year, the Mlaga Spanish Film Festival opened an interesting window into the world of animation: ANIMAZINE. The organization of the festival in collaboration with Diboos (Spanish Federation of Animation Producers) was another step forward in search of promoting Spanish animation, dedicating a whole deserved section. The result couldnt be more positive, because the proposal had a very full program composed of feature films screenings (6 films), short films (19 films), project presentations, cinefrums, master classes, exhibitions... The potential of the Galician animation is all a fact in recent years. So our festival always has dedicated a significant importance to the productions created in our land. But even our promotion transcends borders, as demonstrated by the specific conference granted in TIDCA Taipei (Taiwan) and the retrospective prepared for MONSTRA Lisbon (Portugal), both by the director of ANIRMAU. This year we bring a monographic session with the recent animated titles from Galicia, screening made possi ble by the contribution of its directors and the support of the Galician Audiovisual Academy. Five titles that include animation of a theme of the band Linho do Cuco, the latest creation of Anxo Santomil (jury in our first edition), in addition to the three nominees for the Mestre Mateo Awards 2013. A unique screening that makes us believe in a bright future.

O potencial da animacin galega todo un feito dende hai uns anos. por iso que o noso festival sempre dedicou unha destacada importancia s producins creadas nas nosas terras. Mais a nosa promocin transcende incluso fronteiras, tal como demostran a conferencia especfica concedida no TIDCA de Taipei (Taiwan) ou a retrospectiva preparada para a MONSTRA de Lisboa (Portugal), ambas a cargo do director de ANIRMAU. Para este ano traemos unha sesin monogrfica coas ltimas creacins animadas de Galiza, proxeccin posible grazas contribucin dos seus directores e o apoio da Academia Galega do Audiovisual. Cinco ttulos que inclen a animacin dun tema da banda Linho do Cuco, a ltima creacin de Anxo Santomil (xurado na nosa primeira edicin), ademais de tres dos nomeados aos Premios Mestre Mateo 2013. Concerto de Piano a cargo de / Piano Concerto by SEVERIANO CASALDERREY

Severiano Casalderrey Conde (Pontevedra, 1980) pianista e profesor de msica. Aos sete anos xa recibe as primeiras clases de msica e, ao ano seguinte, ingresa no Conservatorio Profesional de Msica de Pontevedra onde acada o ttulo de Profesor de Piano. Posteriormente, trasldase a Santiago de Compostela onde compaxina os estudos musicais cos universitarios. No ano 2002, remata a Licenciatura en Historia da Arte na especialidade de Msica e, un ano despois, titlase como Profesor Superior de Piano. No ano 2003, aproba as oposicins de Msica ao Corpo de Profesores de Ensino Secundario de Galiza. A sa vida profesional lvao a instalarse en Laln, onde reparte o seu labor docente entre o IES Ramn M Aller Ulloa e o Conservatorio Profesional de Laln. Entre a sa actividade concertstica, ten executado diferentes concertos como solista, as como en diferentes conxuntos. Como integrante de agrupacins musicais, salienta a sa presenza no do de Piano a catro mans Ars Sonora (1997-2000) que interpretou entre Tui e Pontevedra. Tamn participou como integrante de grandes formacins existentes en Laln, entre elas a Orquestra do Conservatorio de Laln e a Banda Sinfnica de Laln; xunto coa Banda de Msica Municipal de Caldas de Reis, formacin coa que participou no Certame Internacional de Bandas de Msica de Valencia. Nos ltimos anos, decanta tamn o seu interese cara ao marco do audiovisual, principalmente como ferramenta pedagxica. Profesionalmente, inicia as o seu labor como programador de cinema en cineclubs, festivais e outros eventos. Desde 2010, dirixe o Festival de Cinema de Animacin ANIRMAU. Ten participado tamn como xurado internacional en festivais de cinema como o Festival Internacional de Ourense, o FICBueu, a XOCIVIGA (O Carballio), o CINANIMA (Espinho - Portugal), e o TIDCA (Taipei - Taiwan). En febreiro de 2012, participa como relator no Congreso Ilustrando a diversidade organizado pola Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, achegando as sas ideas sobre a relacin entre a ilustracin e a imaxe en movemento. Neste mesmo ano, ingresa como membro acadmico da Academia Galega do Audiovisual, entidade que promove os Premios Mestre Mateo que recoecen cada ano o mellor do audiovisual galego.

Severiano Casalderrey Conde (Pontevedra, 1980) is a pianist and music teacher. At seven years he received the first music lessons and, the following year, he entered at Conservatory of Music of Pontevedra where he graduated as a Piano Teacher. Later, he moved to Santiago de Compostela where he combines musical studies with the university. In 2002, took a degree in History of Art, specializing in Music and, one year later, achieved the title of Superior Piano Teacher. In 2003, he overcomes the oppositions of Music at Main Secondary Teachers of Galicia. His professional life comes to settle in the village of Laln, where he combines his teaching between IES Ramon M Aller Ulloa and the Music Conservatory of Laln. Among his concert activity, he has given numerous concerts as a soloist and in various ensembles. As a member of musical groups, it emphasizes his presence in the Piano duet Ars Sonora from 1997 to 2000, a total of five concerts between Tui and Pontevedra. He also participated as a member of large formations existing in Laln, including the Conservatory Orchestra and Symphonic Wind Band of Laln; plus also the Municipal Wind Band of Caldas de Reis, along with that participates in the International Wind Band Competition of Valencia. In recent years, he decants your interest in the audiovisual field, primarily as a pedagogical tool. Professionally, he started work as a cinema programmer in cineclubs, festivals and other events. In 2010, he created and directed the Animated Film Festival ANIRMAU. O stop-motion un dos recursos mis interesantes e explotados da animacin nos ltimos anos. Esta tcnica consiste na rodaxe fotograma a fotograma, facendo que obxectos estticos ou maleables semellen estar en movemento. Monicreques, plastilina, persoas, obxectos, area, leo, recortes... son algns dos elementos que poden animarse mediante o uso de stop-motion. Un obradoiro imprescindible para o noso alumnado do Bacharelato de Artes. Cada unidade de rodaxe realizar unha prctica de animacin con cartolina e outros materiais que dar como resultado unha breve animacin duns 12 ou 15 segundos. The stop-motion is one of the most interesting and exploited resources of the animation in last years. This technique involves filming frame by frame, making static objects and malleable objects simulate being in motion. Puppets, clay, people, objects, sand, paint, cut-outs... these are some of the elements that can be animated using the stop-motion. An essential workshop for our students in the Bachelor of Arts. Each filming unit will hold a practice animation with cardboard and other materials that will result in a short animation about 12 or 15 seconds.

Virginia Curi e Toms Conde estudan na Escola de Imaxe e Son da Corua, para despois formar Algaraba Animacin en 1993. Dende entn crearon mis de dez curtametraxes de animacin en plastilina, un sen fin de pezas publicitarias e televisivas as como a producin da longametraxe Brujeras, convertndose nunha das empresas mis recoecidas e lonxevas, cunha producin mis regular dentro da animacin en stopmotion de toda Espaa. Virginia Curi and Toms Conde studied at the School of Image and Sound in A Corua, they started Algaraba Animacin in 1993. Since then they have created more than ten claymation short films, endless advertising and television pieces as well as the production of the feature film Brujeras, becoming one of the most recognized and long-lived production company with a more regular activity within the stop-motion animation in Spain.

A luz reflectida polas estrelas a nica cura para o medo escuridade. Unha noite, ese medo lvao a azotea, onde descobre que a sa estrela favorita desapareceu. Tim decide ir na sa procura. Nesas, coece o Pastor de Gatos e o seu fiel amigo Tobermory, que se convertern nos seus gardins persoais e o axudarn a fuxir do orfanato.

In the aging orphanage the days pass very uneventfully, but the nights are something quite different; at least for Tim they are. The light reflected from the stars is the only cure for his fear of the dark. One night this fear leads him to the orphanage rooftop. Where he discovers that his favourite star has disappeared, and unfortunately its not going to be the last one. Tim also discovers the Cat Shepherd and his faithful cat Tobermory, that will become Tims personal guardians.
