[ENTER DOCUMENT TITLE] Abstract Your abstract should be one paragraph and should not exceed 120 words. It is a summary of the most important elements of your paper. All numbers in the abstract, except those beginning a sentence, should be typed as digits rather than words. To count the number of words in this paragraph, select the paragraph, and on the Tools menu click Word Count.

Enter your Title and Author information in the appropriate fields. You can also enter this information by selecting the File tab (MS Word 2010) and entering the information under Info in the document properties section. From there, if you want more property options, select Properties, then Advanced Properties. If you enter you Title and Author information in this way, then that information should appear at the appropriate places throughout the paper. APA-6 Styles in This Template This is text using Normal style. Normal text wont normally appear in the paper because other styles that depend on Normal will be used instead. Normal is double spaced with Times Roman 12 point font. Level One Heading: Centered, Boldface, Uppercase and Lowercase This is Body-style text. Body is based on Normal. Beyond that, it applies a indentation on the first line of each paragraph. This is the style in which most of the text will appear. Level Two Heading: Flush Left, Boldface, Uppercase and Lowercase This paragraph is in the Hanging Indent style. It also is based on the Normal style. Beyond that, it applies a indentation to every line of each paragraph except the first line. Level three heading: Boldface, lowercase ending with a period. The paragraph begins on the same line as the heading.

Level four heading: Boldface, italicized, lowercase ending with a period. The paragraph begins on the same line as the heading. Level five heading: Italicized, lowercase ending with a period. The paragraph begins on the same line as the heading.
