TEASER 1 EXT. STULL CEMETERY - NIGHT ABADDON walks slowly, sound of her HEELS CLICKING. We see several corpses, scattered around the ground in the shape of a CIRCLE. Theyre BLEEDING, FRESH corpses. We CLOSE UP on Abaddons face, smiling and holding an object in her hands (something like a music box?). Abaddon OPENS her mouth, releasing a cloud of BLACK SMOKE. The smoke enters the box. Her eyes turn BLACK. Then, she opens the box and begins to whispers incoherent words. A RIRUAL. We see the BLACK SMOKE slowly BIND with the GRACE inside the box. She quickly SHUTS the lid of the box, before she FALLS to her knees in exhaustion. She catches her breath. The EVIL smirk comes next. Then, she DIGS a small hole in the ground, buries the box inside it before she covers it up again. She pulls out a NAPKIN and wipes her hands, which are filled with BLOOD and DIRT. Looking around her one last time, she DISAPPEARS from view. END TEASER 2 INT. THE BUNKER - EVENING 2 1

DEAN is sleeping on the table, his arms spread about as he SOFTLY SNORES. There are EMPTY bottles of BEER scattered all around him. SAM walks in, looking at Dean before he SIGHS. SAM Dean? Dean, you alright? Youve been sleeping on the table for hours. He SHAKES Dean lightly. Dean awakens ABRUPTLY, letting out a GASP of surprise. Sam is TAKEN ABACK when Dean immediately reaches for his GUN. (CONTINUED)

SAM Dude, its just me! Calm down. Sam grabs a BEER from the fridge. He hands one to Dean. SAM So, how are you feeling? DEAN Im great, Sam. Im doing great. I dont need your pep talk, alright? Weve been through this. SAM Look, Dean, Im trying to help here. Dont make this harder than it has to be. DEAN (Angrily) Who said I need help? Who said its hard to begin with? Yeah, Ive got the mark. I can control it. Whats the problem? (Insert Sam Bitchface #237) SAM Right. Because when I had the demon blood addiction, that was completely normal and fine, right? DEAN Dont compare this to your addiction. I said I can control it. I just need to kill Abaddon, then Im done. SAM I needed the blood to help you. DEAN Cut it out, Sam! SAM (Grumbles) Dean, the mark is changing you. Its clear. You talk different, you act different.. Dean stands up, SLAMMING his hand onto the TABLE.

DEAN Well maybe I need to become like this to kill that bitch. SAM Look at you! Youre drinking Whiskey like its water... All you talk and think about is Abaddon. You care more about killing her than saving people. DEAN We have bigger issues at hand than saving lives, Sam! If I get rid of that bitch, no ones gonna die. Two birds, one stone. SAM So what, youre saying youre doing this because you wanna save people? You killed the waiter the other day without a second thought, Dean. Dean opens FRIDGE, pulling out another bottle of BEER. He opens it, takes several sips. He looks TROUBLED but ANGRY. 3 EXT. A LOCAL PARK WITH A SMALL POND - NIGHT We see some ANGELS gathered around, speaking amongst themselves. Then we focus on CASTIEL, standing with another angel. CASTIEL Our army isnt prepared to fight. Theyre hesitant. RAZIEL, an angel in a FEMALE vessel, stands next to Castiel. She has brown eyes, black hair, and looks to be in her mid-20s. RAZIEL Rest assured. When the time comes, they will all fight well. CASTIEL ... We need to know how to reopen the gates of Heaven. Only Metatron knows how. Im not sure how we could extract the information from him. 3

Raziel looks down, NODDING slightly. Here we REVEAL Castiel looking at her in an odd way, almost in mistrust. The angels continue to CHATTER. Castiel looks at them almost SYMPATHETICALLY. CASTIEL I hear them chatting. Many of them are... missing Father. They believe we need him in such times. RAZIEL We must not question Father. I am sure what he is doing is for the best. CASTIEL ... Yes. Perhaps. A soft WHISPER sounds off camera, calling for Castiel. Castiel excuses himself and begins to walk AWAY from Raziel to a more PRIVATE area.. 4 EXT. A MORE PRIVATE AREA - A LOCAL PARK - NIGHT CROWLEY stands, a PLAYFUL SMIRK on his face. CROWLEY Hello, Cas. CASTIEL Crowley. CROWLEY You still remember my name. Good for you. CASTIEL What are you doing here? I am no longer interested in your deals and games. CROWLEY You think Im here because I need a favour from you? Dont be like that, Cas. You know I consider you a friend. Castiel begns to steps away from Crowley. 4

CROWLEY Hey, hey. Wait up. Youre not interested at all? What if I tell you it has something to do with a certain... Dean Winchester. IMMEDIATELY, Castiel STOPS in his tracks and TURNS to face him. CASTIEL What about him? CROWLEY Nothing really. Its just that he might be in trouble. CASTIEL Trouble? What kind of trouble? CROWLEY Its possibly the stupidest idea hes gone with so far. Remarkably stupid, in fact. CASTIEL If Dean was in trouble, he would call for me. Youre his enemy. CROWLEY Havent you heard? Were besties now, me and Dean. We played pool together, we drank together... good times. CASTIEL (Angered) What happened? CROWLEY You want me to tell you such important news, but give me nothing in retrn? Ill tell you everything, but you have to promise me something. Castiel NARROWS his eyes but NODS nonetheless. CROWLEY No matter what happens, you wont get involved with killing Abaddon. Thats all I ask. If Dean asks you for help, you say no.

CASTIEL I dont understand. CROWLEY Dean wants to kill Abaddon. I helped him find Cain, who he assumed had the First Blade. Cain gave him the Mark. Now all Dean needs is the blade and Abaddon. CASTIEL Dean would do no such thing. CROWLEY Too late, he already has. I want you to go to Dean, knock some sense into him. Tell him to give the Mark of Cain to someone else. Ill handle it from there. CASTIEL And why do you care for this? CROWLEY I want Abaddon dead more than anyone else. If Dean kills her, hes gonna face some consequences. Im sure Abaddon has her own backup plans. With that, Crowley DISAPPEARS from view, leaving a BAFFlED Castiel standing alone. 5 INT. THE BUNKER - NIGHT Sam sitting at the table, flipping through some BOOKS. We see him picking up the "Wizard of Oz" novel and SMILING slightly. He STOPS suddenly when he comes across a page. INSERT - THE NOVEL A line reading "A heart is not judged by how much you love; but by how much you are loved by others". The next line reads "Dorothy looked at Charlie, smiling softly. Charlie took her hand." SAM Huh... I guess Charlie always deserved to live in a fictional universe. Hope youre enjoying your (MORE) (CONTINUED) 5

SAM (contd) time there, Charlie. I really miss you. 6 EXT. PARKING LOT - NIGHT The IMPALA parks in the lot in front of a bar. 7 INT. THE IMPALA Dean leans his back against the SEAT. We hear a soft WOOSH sound before Dean turns to find Castiel sitting in the PASSENGER seat. DEAN (Surprised) Cas! Whatre you doing here? CASTIEL I came here to talk. I have heard some... news. I wish to hear the story from you. DEAN News? News like what? CASTIEL Is it true that you have obtained the Mark of Cain? 8 EXT. PARKING LOT - NIGHT Dean OPENS the door of the Impala, stepping OUT of the car. Castiel appears in FRONT of him. CASTIEL We need to talk about this. DEAN (Irritated) Listen. I came here to clear my head out and to get away from Sam bitching about the topic. Not to have you come here and talk about it instead! Castiel steps into Deans PERSONAL SPACE, looking ANGRY. 8 7 6

CONTINUED: (2) CASTIEL Dean! This is a serious issue. The mark is not something to be toyed with. You have not yet found the blade, so it should be easier for you to let it go. DEAN I found the blade. Then I lost it. CASTIEL You held the blade? DEAN Yeah. And now I need it back to kill Abaddon. Stop making a big deal out of this, Cas. You should be helping me get the blade so we can end this for once and for all. CASTIEL I will not assist you in the killing of Abaddon.

Dean looks at Castiel, tilting his head. Looking slightly ANGRY or BETRAYED. DEAN (Pissed) Then Ill do it alone. Castiel PUSHES Dean further into the Impala. Stands back, shoulders wide. CASTIEL You have to get rid of the Mark. If you dont, you might face consquences you dont understand-DEAN Consequences? Ive dealt with Hell, Cas. And even if it does kill me, hell, not like the world will stop. CASTIEL ... Dean-DEAN Listen. All I gotta do is stab Abaddon, give the mark back to Cain, and stab him as well... Youre not changing this plan, and neither is Sam. You gonna help me get the blade or what? (CONTINUED)

Castiel shakes his head, opening his mouth to make a RETORT. DEAN Stop it, Cas. Just stop. Dean PUSHES past Castiel, walking towards the bar. 9 EXT. A LOCAL PARK - DAY (MAYBE 2 DAYS LATER?) Castiel is in the PARK. Most of the angels are sitting FAR from him. He SIGHS, SITS down on a bench. Looking at the SKY, he looks WORRIED. A MALE, light hair, dark eyes, around his mid-late 30s, STEPS into the frame and STANDS by the bench. Castiel looks at him, FURROWING his eyebrows. He does NOT recognize him. The guy takes a seat next to Cas and SMILES softly. MALE Im Abner. I came here to ask you for a favour... and clarify several things. CASTIEL (Thoughtfully) Abner.. Your name sounds familiar. ABNER ...The Winchesters are after us. Not me, specifically, but after my partner, Gadreel. Ive come here to ask you if you could-CASTIEL Gadreel. He is an ally of Metatron. He possessed Sam, killed a prophet of the lord... You expect me to help him? 10 INT. A SMALL MOTEL ROOM - SOMEWHERE IN AMERICA Crowley is sitting on a COUCH, watching some TV. An EMPTY syringe lies in his hand. He looks up slowly, RAISING his eyebrows. He smiles. 10 9

Abaddon stands in front of him, her face expressionless. ABADDON I didnt come here out of love, Crowley. I came here to question your actions. Crowley sits up slowly. CROWLEY My actions? ABADDON Yes. Your actions. I found some of your men sneaking around my workplace. Spying on me. Killing my men. CROWLEY (Sarcastically) .. Oh, boy. I thought Id told them to lay off your property. ABADDON You wanna play a game, youre gonna play fair. Your demons dont come near my property. They dont touch my army. CROWLEY Sweetheart, were demons. Since when do we play fair? ABADDON Youre not gonna stand a chance against my men. Look at you. Pathetic. Living off human blood. You think you could rule Hell like this? Crowley shrugs, looking THOUGHTFUL. CROWLEY I dont see a problem. ABADDON Pathetic... I came here to warn you. If I see your men around again, youre gonna like what will happen. (CONTINUED)

CROWLEY ... So we wont have angry sex? Abaddon doesnt answer, just narrows her eyes. ABADDON Do you understand? CROWLEY You think youre in a position to threaten me, Abby? Youre number one on the Winchester list.Id worry about you, not me. ABADDON Oh, Im not worried. Even if I die, you wont succeed. I have my backup plans. If I were you, Id want to keep me alive. Unless you want me to become the next Lilith. She GRINS and disappears. Crowley stands up slowly, looking ANGRY. 11 EXT. A LOCAL PARK - DAY (DAY 2) ABNER You need to understand what hes doing. Metatron was manipulating him. After all his years in prison, all Gadreel wanted was to be redeemed. To return to his home again. Metatron is using this against him... CASTIEL He is the one that caused all of this war-Abner sits closer to Cas, a PLEADING look on his face. ABNER Yes, he is. But dont you agree that millions of years in prison have made him learn his lesson? Metatron told Gadreel that in order to reopen the Gates, he had to kill a list of people. I was on that list. 11

CONTINUED: (2) CASTIEL And he didnt kill you. ABNER No, he didnt. He didnt want to kill anyone. He told me of what Metatron said, what he promised him. You were a victim of Metatrons too. Youd understand. CASTIEL ... That was... different. ABNER No, not really. Gadreel killed my vessel in order to convince Metatron that I was killed. I wasnt. We made a plan. We are trying to work against Metatron, not with him. CASTIEL And what part do I have in this? ABNER The Winchesters are threatening to kill Gadreel. If they do, everything will be lost. He holds all of Metatrons secrets, his plans. He can help us defeat Metatron. Castiel LOOKS AWAY from Abner, looking UNCERTAIN. CASTIEL He killed Kevin. I dont know if theyll be able to forgive that. ABNER Kevins death should motivate them to kill Metatron. Not Gadreel. CASTIEL ... So what was your plan? 12 INT. THE BUNKER - DAY

Dean steps into the room, fully clothed. He looks at Sam. DEAN Im going out for a bit. You need anything?

SAM .. No, thanks. Wherere you going? DEAN Were running out of bread, eggs and beer. Im gonna go get us some. Anything else? SAM No.. just, take care. I guess. DEAN Im not gonna stab fifty people on my trip, Sam. Dont worry. Dean gives a SARCASTIC smile before he leaves. 13 INT. GROCERY STORE - DAY 13

Dean walks around the grocery store, checking out some cans and boxes of food. He carries a small wire shopping cart, which has some food in it, including PIE. Dean continues to walk, picking up some things and placing them in the cart. 14 INT. LIQUOR STORE - DAY 14

Dean hands the cashier some cash as he takes the bottles of alcohol without so much a "Thank you". 15 EXT. A LOCAL PARK - EVENING Castiel is still sitting on the bench with Abner. He NODS. CASTIEL Ill see what I can do. Im afraid I dont have as much influence on the Winchesters anymore... But Ill try my best. Im sure theyll understand when I explain your plan. Abner smiles GRATEFULLY. ABNER Thank you. Thank you so much. 15

INT. THE BUNKER - EVENING

Sam is watching Television, looking BORED. He flips through the channels. We see a close up of the TV as a scene from "Dr Sexy M.D" comes on. Maybe Dr Sexy kissing someone (a male?) or flirting. SAM (Shakes his head) ... How does Dean manage to watch this show? Its not even about hospitals, its just sex. Suddenly, Cas is standing near him. SAM Whoa! Cas! Sam stands up, looking at Cas carefully, a happy GRIN on his face. He steps forward, shaking his head in DISBELEIF. SAM Where have you been? CASTIEL Ive been... busy. The angels... were trying to work out a plan to getting our home back. Were unsure of what to do. SAM Is there a certain ritual you could follow, maybe? A process, a reverse method... something? Castiel looks at Sam in DEFEAT. He SHRUGS. CASTIEL None that we know yet. Some angels have theories, but none are proven to work. It all relies on Metatron. SAM So whats your plan? Talk to him? Fight him?... torture him maybe? CASTIEL Im not sure... Castiel walks over and takes a seat on the couch, looking at the TV. He stares at it for a while, watching Dr Sexy. (CONTINUED)

Sam stands, looking at him with a RAISED eyebrow. Then, Sam clears his throat. SAM You want something to eat? Drink? Castiel looks up at Sam, shaking his head "no" while smiling POLITELY. CASTIEL No, thank you. Then he looks back to the TV, looking THOUGHTFUL and TROUBLED. SAM ... So... Sam sits down again, feeling AWKWARD. Thinking "did Cas come here just to sit down and watch TV?" Castiel EXHALES slowly and SHIFTS around. All the while, Sams eyes are on him. CASTIEL I need to talk to you. Is Dean here? SAM Uh, yeah sure. And no, he left this morning to go get some groceries and beer. He hasnt come back yet. CASTIEL (Worried) Is he alright? SAM Yeah, Im sure he is. Hes been spending more time at bars and clubs lately. Sometimes I dont see him for days in a row. Castiel PURSES his lips into a thin line. CASTIEL His behaviour worries me. SAM ... Youre telling me.

CASTIEL Do you remember Gadreel? SAM Gadreel? The angel? Yeah, of course I do. I cant get him out of my mind, actually. I wanna hunt him down and make him pay for what he did... CASTIEL Thats why Im here. Gadreel asks for your forgiveness. His.. friend came to me today, asking me to help him and Gadreel. SAM Forgiveness? After what he did? Cas, he killed Kevin. Using me. You think Im just gonna forget that? The image never leaves my head. Cas nods patiently. CASTIEL Yes. I know. But they were Metatrons orders. He had no choice. SAM He had a choice! We all have a choice. He lied to Dean, calling himself Ezekiel. He possessed me. CASTIEL I am not expecting you to forgive him, Sam. All I ask is that you stop trying to kill him. He is our biggest hope to defeat Metatron. SAM And you trust him? After what he did? CASTIEL ... I do. I have my doubts, but we have no other choice. He knows all of Metatrons secrets, and he is working with Abner to stop him. If he is lying, I will be the first to kill him.

SAM (Helplessly) And Kevin? CASTIEL We have... all... made mistakes trying to acheive our goals. All of us. Me, you, Dean... Im willing to give him a chance. Only one chance. 17 EXT. EMPTY PARKING LOT - EVENING 17

Dean leans against the Impala, taking a sip of his Alcohol. He sets it down, CLOSING his eyes. He has an internal monologue-- making faces of ANGER, HELPLESSNESS and SADNESS. Crowley APPEARS next to Dean, also leaning against the impala. He does NOT have the usual calm look or cunning smirk. Instead, he looks BITTER. CROWLEY Dean. Dean is NOT bothered by Crowleys sudden appearance. Implying he is used to it. DEAN Crowley. CROWLEY Ive changed my mind about some things. I say we need to kill Abaddon as soon as possible. No more games. Dean looks at him, CONFUSED and ACCUSING. DEAN ... Why the sudden change? CROWLEY Because I said so. I want her out of the picture. DEAN Well, I cant exactly do anything with you hiding the First Blade. Crowley narrows his eyes, looking annoyed and doubtful.

CROWLEY I know. But before I give you the blade, I have to make sure you wont kill me first thing. DEAN (Lying) ... I wouldnt. CROWLEY You would. I know you well enough, Winchester. Now, lets get to the important stuff, shall we? And maybe a little privacy would help. 18 INT. THE IMPALA - EVENING Crowley sits in the passenger seat, looking DETERMINED and CUNNING. Dean opens the door and sits down in the drivers seat. DEAN Important stuff? CROWLEY Yes. Little birdie came around and told me some news. DEAN About Abaddon. CROWLEY Yes, precisely. Now, thats not the only problem at hand. Weve got Cas to deal with. Dean straightens up in his seat, looking at Crowley with a HEATED look. DEAN Cas? Crowley RAISES his eyebrows. CROWLEY Yes. Cas. You see, hes playing his little game on all of us. Me, you, Abaddon... Thought he could get away with it. 18

CONTINUED: (2) DEAN Cas?? CROWLEY Better believe it, Juliet. Your Romeo isnt what he seems. DEAN ...What did he do...? Crowley SMIRKS. CROWLEY He heard about the Mark of Cain from someone... so he came to me, thinking I could somehow reverse it or stop it. Talked about... the First Blade. Deans eyes NARROW at the mention of the blade. DEAN Who told him about it? CROWLEY Exactly. That was my question, too. He wouldnt tell me at first, but then I told him that Id heard all about his clever deal. Dean looks at Crowley, PUZZLED. CROWLEY Oh, of course you dont know. My spies told me they saw Castiel meeting up with Abaddon in her property. DEAN Cas? With Abaddon? CROWLEY Yeah... I found it hard to believe at first. Then I thought hed maybe tried to kill her. Turns out he was trying to make a deal with her. Dean runs his hand through his hair, looking around, BEWILDERED. DEAN (Slowly) Why would Cas make a deal with Abaddon?

CONTINUED: (3) CROWLEY Im not sure what he went there for initially. All I know is that she told him about the Mark and the Blade... then he told her that he would do anything to protect her from you. DEAN Why would Cas be interested in the mark? In Abaddon living? CROWLEY Maybe he wants the First Blade. You know, with all the power it can give you... DEAN Cas... he-CROWLEY He doesnt want you to become powerful. Youd stop his plans, kill his angels. Youd kill Abaddon, who proposed to help him retreive Heaven if he kept her safe from you.The Blade would make you one of the most powerful creatures to walk this earth. Dean bites his lip, breathing SLOWLY. DEAN First time he betrayed me with you. Now with Abaddon? CROWLEY (Shrugs) First time you werent his enemy. This time you are. Dean looks at Crowley, PERPLEXED, ANGRY and BETRAYED. 19 INT. A ROOM - SOMEWHERE IN AMERICA

GADREEL is sitting down at a table, doing something like sharpening blades, filling guns, etc. METATRON walks into the room, standing BEHIND Gadreels chair. Gadreel looks up but not back at Metatron, an ANNOYED look on his face. (CONTINUED)

GADREEL Metatron. He turns his chair around, looking at Metatron. METATRON How are those weapons coming along? Youve been working on them all day... I can see they look sharp and ready. GADREEL Yes. Im almost finished. Metatron looks at him with his annoying smile. METATRON Good. Because I have a new task for you. Youre probably tired of doing all this indoor work lately. Gadreel does not answer. Metatron places his hand on the back of the chair that Gadreel sits on. METATRON Its a simple task. Shouldnt take you too long. Just plan it right. He places a yellow sticky note onto the table. INSERT - THE STICKY NOTE It reads CASTIEL. Metatron CHUCKLES, patting Gadreels back. METATRON You finish this one and Ill forgive you. All the other angels will. Youll finally be redeemed. He EXITS the room. We see Gadreel GULPING worriedly, taking in SHALLOW, WORRIED breaths.

Castiel chews on another Peanut Butter & Jelly sandwich. Sam is sitting on the chair across from him. CASTIEL It tastes better than the last time. Thank you. SAM (Chuckles) ... I thought you said it just tasted like molecules. Thanks for the compliment, though. Castiel SMILES. His eyes still hold a WORRIED look. CASTIEL What will we do about Dean? SAM I dont know... is there anything we can do? I mean... Id be more than willing to help, if I could. CASTIEL Im not sure. Maybe we can find Cain once more and convince him to retrieve the Mark from Dean. 21 INT. A HALLWAY - THE BUNKER - NIGHT Dean walks SLOWLY, beginning to hear Sam and Castiels VOICES. He STOPS near the door, not showing himself. Eavesdropping. SAM ... and you think Cain would be willing to take the Mark back? CASTIEL I would hope so. We must everything to get rid of Its threatening Dean... let him get his hands on Blade again. try the Mark. We cant the First 21

Dean narrows his eyes, FROWNING harshly. With.... HATRED? Fade to...

23. 22 INT. THE IMPALA Crowley and Dean sit in SILENCE. Dean RUBS his temples, EXHALES slowly, LOOKS outside... is RESTLESS. CROWLEY ... You okay? DEAN Of course Im not okay. I had Abaddon to worry about, and now I have Cas as well? Just what I needed. CROWLEY Hes getting in the way... I mean, you could always talk to him about it.. DEAN ... I can try to talk him out of it. Crowley nods slowly. CROWLEY I do have another solution... I just dont think youll like it. DEAN (Almost helplessly) What is it? Crowley pulls out the First Blade. Deans eyes widen, showing some sort of... HUNGER. CROWLEY This... its the only solution I have. Dean feels his heart beating FAST, his breathing SPEEDS up. He lunges at Crowley, reaching for the BLADE. Crowley uses an invisible force to THROW dean back. CROWLEY Oh no, Deano. Youre not getting it yet. DEAN Give. It. To. Me. Ill kill Abaddon, Ill finish this. 22

Crowley moves his finger along the blade, TEASING Dean and causing his HUNGER for the blade to reawaken. DEAN Give me the blade. CROWLEY Why would I give you the blade if you wont use it wisely? You might get yourself killed... if you have an army of angels trying to stop you. DEAN An army? Crowley nods. CROWLEY ... If Cas made a deal with Abaddon, Im sure his army would have been involved as well. He begins to put AWAY the blade. Dean looks at him, DETERMINED, CONFUSED and ANGRY all at once. He feels the mark TINGLING, and it begins to GLOW softly. DEAN Give me the blade. Now. CROWLEY ... Let me think. DEAN Ill get Cas out of the way if I have to. I promise. Crowley smiles. Pursing his lips, Crowley opens the door of the impala. He places the blade on the passgenger seat. CROWLEY Very well. Then, he disappears, leaving Dean alone with the blade. Dean looks at the blade with LUST. A SMILE makes its way to his lips as we see him reach for the blade-23 INT. THE BUNKER - NIGHT We can now a FULLBODY shot of Dean. He holds the blade in his hand. The Mark of Cain glows an alarming RED. He QUIETLY steps into the room. His face is lowered, looking upwards. He looks MENACING. At first, Sam and Cas continue to SPEAK. They do NOT notice Dean. SAM When he held the blade... for the first time... he was unable to let it go. It was pretty bad. CASTIEL Yes, I can imagine. The blade holds incredible power... It-Then Sam looks up, notices Dean.
