DESCRIPTION OF THE BUSINESS The name of the business is KSL Bar and Wholesale Liquor.

KSL Bar and Wholesale Liquor hopes to satisfy customers by giving them the quality of goods at a reasonable rate, taste and entertainment. The business is an operation of a sole trader.

JUSTIFICATION OF THE LOCATION KSL Bar and Wholesale Liquor will be located at 23 Heywood Street, Down Town Kingston. The business will be located in this area as there is only one competitor in the area, this is the Centre of the city where people can get any bus sometimes they may need a drink, smoke etc. And things will go faster in this area thus creating profit for the business.

SELECTION OF APPROPRIATE LABOUR The number of persons to be employed is nine (9) persons. Two cahier, three persons to serve goods, one person to sell supreme ventures games and three men to load off goods from truck . The type of labour necessary is semi skilled and skilled as the cahier has to be able to know how to enter the transactions of the business ,the men has to be able to understand invoices that will be given to them and the persons must be able to write receipts.

SOURCES OF FIXED AND WORKING CAPITAL I Intend to start the business with two (2) million and two hundred thousands dollars. I hope to borrow eight hundred thousand dollars from the bank (NCB).I will use the money to purchase equipment such as: refrigerators, casher machine and computers and to rent the place.

ROLE OF ENTREPRENEUR Entrepreneur is an individual who identifies successful business opportunities, risk, time and money to start and operate a business, bringing resources together with the intention of generating wealth. Three functions of entrepreneur are: Conceptualizing-forms a new idea; this new idea can take different forms .It may be a new idea this new can take different forms. It may be a new product, service or improvements to an existing one or ways to fill a need. Planning the entrepreneur can identify targets, goals, ideas and objectives that will allow different ways of accomplishing goals. Accessing funds or financing the entrepreneur will find ways to finance the business.

TYPE OF PRODUCTION The type of production is tertiary production.Teritary production involve finished products that must be transported , stored ,insured, adverted and sold by traders. It also involve offering services.

LEVELS OF PRODUCTION The level of production is domestic production. Domestic production involves producing goods and services not just for individual but family, or community and also for local market.

QUALITY CONTROL MEASDURES Two quality control measures that will be adhere are: Most of the workers will be train to communicate with customers , making the customers feel a sense of welcome and security will be provided so that the customers can be secured and also management. Sanitary facilities will not be a problem as adequate facilities will be put in place such facilities are two bathrooms one for management and the other for the customers, and fresh running water on the premises and a parking space.

USE OF TECHNOLGY Two types of technology that will be use are computer and cash register. The technology that will be used to track how the business is performing, to keep the business data that involve the day to day activities of the business. The cash register can be used to exchange business transaction to ensure flow of production.

LINKAGE A linkage industry is one that is linked up with or dependent on another industry.KSL Bar and Wholesale liquor is linked to the Wray and Nephew Rum Industry. The Wray and Nephew will supply alcohol beverages such as; white proof rum and Appleton.

POTENTIAL FOR GROWTH KSL Bar and wholesale liquor will grow internally and externally. KSL Bar and Wholesale liquor hopes to have branches in other parishes and also to have branches in foreign countries. With this objective accomplished, internally growth will be in place, as more departments will be created and as a result creation of jobs for the unemployed.

GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS KSL Bar and Wholesale Liquor will need a spirit license in other to operate by selling liquors according to the regulation of the Government. Spirit license will assure that the business is edible to sell liquors so that there will be no conflict with the law and the business can operate freely.

ETHICAL ISSUE

INTRODUCTION This is a School-Based Assessment that will base on the creation of a business plan for KSL Bar and Wholesale Liquor. The plan is a written proposal to potential investors or lenders. It will be providing a description of KSL Bar and Wholesale liquor. KSL Bar and Wholesale liquor is a business the researcher hopes to establish after school. The plan will focus on production involves buying and selling and distribution of beverages. The researcher hopes to start this business by borrowing a loan from the bank.
