Motivation and Emotion

Question 1
What are the ways we can motivate others to give their best efforts?

What is motivation?
The reasons one has for acting or behaving in a specific way. We all have motivation in some way or another. This is what helps you achieve what you want through out life.

Mentally examples
mentally: saying they are doing a good job, that there hard workers, that they are fantastic at what they do.

Item examples
Items is like money, rewards , making them have more power ( like in jobs) , giving them something they want, and prizes.

Extrinsic and intrinsic


Extrinsic is outside motivation that motivate you to accomplish something Intrinsic is things that make you accomplish something because it makes you feel better.

Motivation can be triggered by you or other


people around you.

Specific motivations

Consequences
People are also more likely to do their best if they know that there are consequences involved with not finishing/doing what they are suppose to do.

What is emotion?

something you express naturally depending on your mood and relationship with others. Its all in your brain

Japan and USA


o The U.S place emotion and inner feeling in the heart. o Japanese they place emotion in the gut.

Americans are better at recognizing anger and disgust . While the Japanese can recognize fear and sadness.

Culture
Culture has to do a lot with the emotional display . There are certain times where we display a certain emotion. Japan is more likely to not show that much emotion because that is how there culture is while the Americans show any type of emotion when they want.
