IMAGING
Description: Take a picture and increase skills in photography, image editing, and graphic design. Process (Programs, Tools, Skills: First I thought of what i wanted to take a picture of and chose to focus on technology. Then I composed the photo to focus on the flash drive. In photoshop I enhanced the blue hues in the photo. Adding hexagon shapes created a ice type feel to the image and I chose to add flash drives to help the message. Lastly I chose the font type to keep with the artistic technology feel Message: I wanted to remind students that they should love their work enough to save it often and save it in more than one place. Audience: BYU-Idaho digital art students who forget to save their work Top Thing Learned: I learned how to plan pictures before taking them Color scheme: Complimentary Colors color names: Blue and Orange Title Font Name & Category: Moiser: San Serif Copy Font Name & Category: Moiser: San Serif

MONTAGE
Description: A full bleed color montage of three images and text Process (Programs, Tools, Skills): First, I found the three images online, with the thought of a desert theme.. Then I opened the background one in Photoshop and inserted the other two images on top. Added a mask to both images helped create the fade into the background. The cutting out the background of the picture on the right was difficult but with some redefining the mask options helped narrow down. Message: Remember to stay hydrated in the heat. Audience: People who spend their extra time in the heat or outside Top Thing Learned: How to better apply masks Filter / Colorization used and where it was applied: The filter i used was on the cracked ground to liquify the top half to make it look like there was actual heat coming from the ground Color scheme and color names: Complimentary Blue and Orange Title Font Name & Category: Lucida Bright Modern Copy Font Name & Category: Arial San Serif

LOGOS
Description: Three Logos to represent my art portfolio Process (Programs, Tools, Skills): Using adobe illustrator i created 3 logos with varying colors and design feel. Each logo has the tie in to art and to my name with a creative design incorporated into them. All the logos are able to be placed on any color with the ability to change the color scheme and still look correct. Message: Jonathan Romrells Graphic art Audience: All who view my art. Top Thing Learned: How to produce a small but effective logo Three Color Scheme and Color Names: Top: Big split complementary Orange, Blue, Green, Purple Middle: No specific scheme used Red, Blue, Green, black Bottom: Monochromatic Black, white Three sets of Title / Body Font Names & Categories: Only font used was in the middle Logo Myriad ProSan serif (other letters were created by pen tool, San Serif)

STATIONARY
Description: Letterhead and Business card layout for a personal logo Process (Programs, Tools, Skills): Using Illustrator i created the RG camera logo using only the pen tool. Then taking the image into Indesign, I created a simple layout for both the business card and the letterhead. Focusing on simplicity, I stuck with simple lines for the choice of divider at the top and bottom of the letterhead and chose a font that would match the same style. Message: This company holds itself to a high standard of image creation and graphic design. Those who want simplicity, creativity, or beauty feel they can get what they want art wise. Audience: Anyone interested in my physical and digital graphic art. Top Thing I Learned: How to keep a logo simple for letterhead and business card design. What is Mascots for a cure?
Mascots for a Cure is a non-profit organization uniting mascots from all over the world into one assembly. Mascots will rally together and stand united at various M4AC fundraising events, and just like they do when they are cheering on their team or business to victory, they will cheer and uplift the spirit of the communities they serve in order to raise funds for the prevention and elimination of childhood cancer and other disorders.

Becoming a Mascot for a Cure provides you with the opportunity to promote your company in front of thousands of participants. You will be able to advertise your business in a memorable way while showing your support for causes that help children. At most events, there are additional sponsorship opportunities which allow you to further display your organization and further support the cause along with thousands of children and adult participants.
Whether it is a business, organization, non profit, high school, college or university, all Mascots can raise a fist and fight back against illnesses that affect children and their families. Help give financial support to organizations that fight back against a multitude of childhood diseases, and cancers.

EVENT AD
Description: A color full-bleed event ad to promote a community event utilizing Microsoft Word and a scanner. Process: I scanned the tree image. I chose the title font for more of an earthly and inviting feel. Simple colors that were extracted from the image tied the whole ad together and kept its image friendly and inviting. Having the text follow the directions of the gold ribbon like design helps the audience follow the flow of the information and is completed full circle by the tree and hand. Programs I used: Microsoft Word, Scanner, PDF2JPG.net (PDF converter). Message: I want to have members of the community feel the desire to help plant trees in their community park to beautify the city, and have a great experience. Audience: Anyone looking to support the community. Top thing learned: I learned how to use word to make an ad when it is all you have to go by. Color scheme and color names: Analagous Green and Gold Title Font Name & Category: Cooper Std Black Serif Copy Font Name & Category: Calibri San Serif Scanned images used, sources, original sizes: This image was scanned from the January 2014 Ensign. The original size of the tree image was 4 by 5.5.

Come help plant trees in the Communitys park and create a green environment for the city. Donations go to the Citys parks. Lunch is provided.

WEB PAGE
Description: A web page designed to showcase a personally created logo. Process (Programs, Tools, Skills): I created the web page in notepad++. Using basic HTML, I was also able to utilise the basic thought process for creating my logo to design the actual look of the site using css. Having a pre-created css, i corrected the code to best match my design that my logo was created with. Programs/Tools Used: Notepad++ & Illustrator Message: This company takes photography, as well as created digital art. Audience: People who could appreciate and need art or design created for them. Top Thing Learned: How to link CSS to HTML Color scheme and color hex: Monochromatic: Red #df3131, #600000, #a52828 Title Font Families & Category: (all names) Tahoma, Geneva, serif; San Serif Copy Font Families & Category: (all names) Times New Roman, Georgia, serif; Changes made to the CSS: I changed the fonts, the colors to match my logo and the style of border.

FLIER
Description: A gray scale flier to promote a leadership conference for graduates. Process: Figuring out the layout was first figured by what words needed to show at the forefront of the tflier and then i could figure where everything would go. Putting the important information both in larger print and in different framed boxes helps direct the eyes to the information for those where are in a rush and only have a quick moment to read. Message: To reach recent graduates and help them gain the knowledge of how to become a great leader. Audience: Recent graduates who are 22-30 years of age. Top thing learned: I learned the importance of organization and Title Font Name & Category: Blackoak Std Slab Serif Copy Font Name & Category: Verdana Sans Serif
