Ahhhh as you release yourself, your sphincter muscles relax and urine exits into the toilet. The excretory system may seem gross, but this system is a very important system in your body., Iits the system that gets rid of extra waste in your blood and body. The Excretory system plays an important role in your body. Its organs include the kidneys, ureters, bladder, urethra and the sphincter muscle. Kidneys are full of little filters called nephrons. The kidneys filter extra salt and water out of blood and the waste is urine. , Uurine gets funneled into the ureters. Kidneys are full of little filters called nephrons. The ureters move urine to the bladder. The bladder is a smooth muscle that stretches when there is urine in it. A bladder usually holds up to when its a quarter full, then nerves signal the brain that it is time to go to the bathroom. Soon, urine leaves the body through the urethra. The functions of this system are to get rid of liquid waste, filter blood and get rid of unwanted waste. TIn order to get blood to filter, the excretory system has to interact with the circulatory system by filtering blood. . As arteries carry blood from the heart to the kidneys, the kidneys filter all the excess water and blood. Although the excretory system helps you keep your blood clean, sometimes something canit can malfunction. Diseases associated with the excretory system include have kidney stones, renal dysplasia and nephritis. stones can clog the kidney, the ureters, or the bladder. Renal dysplasia is caused by kidney deformation at birth. That can cause kidney failure and disorder and extreme pain. The only cure is to get a kidney transplant. Nephritis is an airborne disease and the side effects are foamy urine and swelling. Medicine can help cure this disease. The cure is to take some medicine. In order to keep your kidneys and your excretory system healthy, you need to drink at least 8 glasses of water every day so your urine stays at a normal level, dont eat or drink too much sugar or salt, as it can overwork your kidneys. Dont drink too much coke and alcohol, as studies show that coke has more sugar than other kinds of soda and sugar can damage your kidneys. Because the excretory system is a system you cannot live without, you must take good care of it and be sure to stay healthy.
