Models 202, 202N, 242, and J8A
Barton chart recorders are the industrystandard for accurate, reliable measurement
and recording ofpressure, differential pressure, and temperature in awidevariety of
applications. In addition, DP modelsutilize Barton's rupture-proofbellows DPU as
theactuating unit- with features like overrange protection and pulsation dampening
(on some models).

Chart Drive- Available in battery
and spring-wound versions with a
widevarietyofchartspeeds. All
chart drives, with simple positive
chartlock hub, are interchangeable.
NuFloTM Charts- are made from
"woodfree" paper- aspecial low
shrinkage high qualityproduct that
eliminate eccentric and elliptical
errors. Charts are shrink wrapped
to help maintainthe factory default
size until it is opened bythe user.
Once aboxofcharts is opened, it
can be stored in the supplied plastic
re-sealable storage bag.

Models202E (DP)
The 202E is a12-in. chart recorderthat has been widely used
in gas transmission and distributionfields- accurate
calibration, even under extreme variations in static pressure
and ambienttemperatures.
The 202E is available in 1to 4pen configurations (DP+3
additional pens). The additional pens can be used to record
temperature and supplemental pressure data.
The unitis actuated by aBarton Model 199 DPU, with
standard and NACE units available (up to4,500 PSI/31 0bar
SWP) - see DPU bulletin #21700 fordetails. Staticpressure
and temperature pens are actuated by precision wound
elements(see page 1).

Model202N (DP) (NACE)
The 202N is a12-in. chart recorder designedtomeasure flow,
static pressure, and temperature in sourgas applications. The
202N meets all NACE requirements forH2S environments, per
MR-01-75 (1991 Revision)- SWP up to2,000 PSI (138 bar).
For ranges between 2,000 PSI (138 bar) and 4,500 PSI
(310 bar), see optional NACE version ofM202E.
The 202N is actuated byBarton's M199 NACE DPU. Static
pressure measurements are provided by precision wound
K-Monel helical-type elements,
All other features and benefits are thesame as the 202E.

The J8A is acompact 8-in. chartTemperature and Pressure Recorder designed
forgeneral pressure applications. Available as asingle or dual pen unit, itcan
use any combination ofpressure measuring helical elements or temperature
measuring thermal systems.
Pressure Elements- Same as those supplied for 12-in. recorders,
withpressure ranges from 0-30-in. Hg to 30,000 psi (0-14.7psi/1 bar
to 2,068bar).
Case - Asmallerversion ofthe 242E, theJ8Acase is 3/16-in. thick, with
aclosed cell neoprene gasket.The standard doorcomes with an 8-in.
square piece ofglass, Plexiglas (Lexan), or 16-gauge steel plateforsolid
door applications.
