ABSTRACT The cross functional pro$ects are being composed as strategic drivers of the corporate strategy of %peed ;ater %ystems pvt! 4td. #eople brought together from varies departments with varied skills and experience as well as expose to varied cultural subsets ,supposed to work together to accomplished pro$ect oriented ob$ectives. Management is embraced pro$ect oriented leadership as a corporate life saver. But pro$ect environment is dynamic in nature= turbulent and high volatility is embedded characteristics. ;ithout considering the real essence beneath in the pro$ect atmosphere, organi>ations are still practicing compartmentali>ed authoritarian management and decision making style forcefully in pro$ect environment which no longer works and resulting undesired outcomes. By providing the right respect to the fact that pro$ect should be composed in more methodical framework in order to congruence with its unique nature. #ro$ect Manager and its team would play as a critical success factor of any kind of pro$ect excellence. 7ence study of importance of the #ro$ect oriented human resource practices including human resource plan, proper recruitment selection system and training and development as well as performance management principles are worthwhile to considered in order to having the researched importance of improving excellence in pro$ect activities. ;ith respect to the %peed ;ater %ystems pvt! 4td, paradigm shift towards pro$ect oriented leadership there are many setbacks has shown from the people who involved. 7ence the researcher carried out his research to examine the importance and relationship between 75# and its relevant 75 practices and its impact on the cross functional pro$ect performance parameters. Therefore the following study, the researcher will outline some of the connections between the concepts of #ro$ect 7uman 5esource involvements as well as pro$ect management and performance management concepts in the theoretical review.

The researcher makes an attempt to conceptuali>e the research study on the basis of selected variables from the literature review and identified as most relevant to criteria of the research topic. The research methodology combines primary and secondary data .The research was carried out via field survey by a structures questionnaire comprising general questions such as demographics as well as structured -+ research questions. The questionnaires were distributed among random sample of ?/ pro$ect members. This primary data enables to draw conclusions and secondary data helps to formali>e the tailor"made solution at the end. After gathering the primary data from the respondents, the researcher presented the data through tables, charts and subsequently analy>ed them by using %#%% statistical software and found out there is prevailing strong positive relationship between 75# and #ro$ect #erformances. The researcher has recommended needing changes of the 7uman resource planning and its practices where it correctly fits to the organi>ation in the event of maximi>ing the pro$ect performances. The research has challenged the board of directors and senior managers and 7uman 5esource 8epartment to rethink their practices to 75 and #ro$ect Management and effective implementation of integrated human resource planning system. As the study indicated pro$ects are over whelmed with 75 malfunction which directly leads to the performance variables. As it proves, defined 75 planning mechanism would leverage pro$ect management technical phenomena to digest into the existing organi>ation culture, not only $ust doing pro$ect per se but also developing performance driven human resource value system.
