HOT WATER CIRCULATING PUMPS: A. Pro*ide, quite, end+suction, centrifugal, single+stage, direct coupled, hot water circulating pumps with mechanical seals and rated for %'# psig 8:>) kPa; working pressure and ''# o6 8%)$o5; continuous water temperature. Pro*ide all required au&iliar2 apparatus and controls to complete the installation. Pumps shall be of t2pe, capacit2 and number as shown on the drawings. Pump shaft shall be of stainless steel with mechanical shaft seals ha*ing faces of tungsten carbide. Pump housing shall be of cast iron with a spiral outlet, and shall be pro*ided with interchangeable 4P3M rubber seal ring. Stainless steel impeller shall ha*e double+cur*ed blades with smooth surfaces and fitted to shaft b2 means of split cone and nut. Motor shall be totall2 enclosed fan+cooled 8T465; t2pe compl2ing with 145 and 31B or equi*alent standards, with insulation 5lass 6 and ma&imum ambient temperature () o5. FIRE PUMPS: A. 4lectric 3ri*en 1n+-ine 6ire PumpC %. 6urnish as shown on plans, the automatic electric motor dri*en centrifugal *ertical turbine fire pumps with au&iliar2 apparatus to make a complete fire pump installation in accordance with the codes of the Bational /oard of 6ire Underwriters. Pumps shall meet B6PA ') requirements and shall be U-isted, 6M appro*ed, t2pe, capacit2 and number as shown on the drawings. The pump shall be ha*ing design capacit2 and static head as shown on the drawings and operating at a rate of %$$) rpm. The pump shall be furnished complete with the following fittingsC discharge tee, hose *al*e head, hose *al*es, discharge gauges, %9 mm casing relief *al*e, umbrella clock and capacit2 plates. 4lectric MotorC The motor shall be T465 t2pe with 5lass 6 insulation. 7oltage and rating shall be as shown on drawings or as required. The motor locked rotor current shall not e&ceed the *alues stated in B6PA '). The motor shall be constructed so that the total h2draulic and static thrust of the pumpDs rotating assembl2 can be carried b2 the motor thrust bearings. The motor shall mount directl2 on the pump discharge head assembl2 with a registered fit for correct shaft alignment. The pump manufacturer shall pro*ide the ser*ices of a qualified field engineer to ad*ise the 5ontractor on the proper installation of equipment, make necessar2 mechanical adFustments and align fire pump fle&ible coupling. The pump manufacturer shall arrange and conduct final field acceptance test and pro*ide all required test equipment including Upla2pipe hose, pilot, tachometer and clamp+on ammeter. /.) All pumps shall be h2drostaticall2 tested for leaks at %.# times the design pressure. There shall be no leakage during the one hour test period. The 5ontractor shall submit manufacturerDs test certificates, including test data to show that pump meets specifications.
