Portable USB-USB File Transfer

INTRODUCTION:
It is an established fact that computers have become a part of everyday life, a common appliance in life of man. As once computers replaced pocket calculators for their capability of complex yet faster calculations, the computers are being replaced by smartphones and tablets equal in performance and features on the ground of being able to fit into one's pocket. Thus being said, our project is very closely related to portability, on the go !"# !" transfer. This project aims to eliminate the need of a computer to transfer files bet$een t$o !" flash disk %a slave and a host&

METHODOLOG !"PPRO"CH:
'hen $e select the data $ith the help of the keypad, data is read from source and $ritten to the destination drive. The !" host allo$s the processor to gain the control of the !" devices. (arious commands are used to access the information such as files, folders, total si)e and other system related information of the !" device. *nce the !" mass storage device is connected, the contents of the !" device are displayed on the +,-.

S STEM FLO$CH"RT:

Keypad: A hex keypad is used to control the transfer of files and folders by selecting $hich files to copy from one mass storage device to the other mass storage device.
LCD:

To provide ser interface, the bridge uses the +,- %+iquid ,rystal -isplay&.

The contents of the mass storage device are displayed on the +,-. This helps the user to vie$ and select the files or folders of interest from the !" device. Also the options like select, copy for data transfer are put on to the +,-.
USB Connectors:

'e $ill be using . Type#A !" connectors $hich are more popularly used in almost all data transfer applications. -ata transfer can be done using / host controller %description given belo$& and using the inbuilt !" host present in the 01#!akura "oard The other options that $ill be tried so as to minimi)e hard$are and to utili)e the inbuilt peripherals on chip are using the -irect 2emory Access ,ontroller %-2A,& and the !" *T0 available.
Host Controller (VNC1L):

It recogni)es the input peripheral as host or slave according to firm$are loaded in it. The sub module physically interfaces $ith the !" flash drives and is responsible for converting ra$ data and information to their proper 314I encoding as specified by the !" technical specifications. 5urther#more, the sub module is capable of encoding or decoding the incoming 314I data from the !" flash drives and for$ards it to their respective sub modules for further processing. It handles all types of transfer bet$een source destinations. 'e have !" 6ost controller $hich has t$o independent !" ..7 lo$ speed8high speed !" 6ost ports. Individual ports can be configured as host or slave. Software The *! is needed for the system as all the initiali)ations, drivers, data and flo$ control, error handling, resource sharing as $ell as multitasking is possible only $ith the help of a good operating system.

CONCLUSION:
Transferring the data through !" in today9s scenario is the most common task. "ut the problem is that for transferring the data to another !" is difficult $ithout the interference of a computer8laptop. Improvements like creating a touch screen panel for s$ipe and copy features, incorporating multiple !" slots can be developed to make the product more attractive and eye catching. 6ence, this battery operated affordable device can transfer the data bet$een t$o !" data drives $ithout the help of :, or laptop.
