Competency 10
Core Competency: Engage, assess, intervene, and evaluate with individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities.
Practice Behaviors:
10.1) Substantively and affectively prepare for action with individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities;
Ex: I would read my charts/paperwork on my client and stay updated with organizations and things going on in the community.

10.2) Use empathy and other interpersonal skills; and Ex: I would be an effective listener and use motivational interviewing skills.

10.3) Develop a mutually agreed-on focus of work and desired outcomes Ex: Work with the client to establish goals and what the client desires to change.
