FCRA or Foreign Contribution Policy Act registration is the entrance to international funding for non government organizations. Foreign donations are being provided NGOs in the sectors of education, health, empowerment of females and so on. An NGO becomes eligible for long-term enrollment if it is at least three years of ages and the complete sum up of the social activity costs of the last three years are more than 10 lakhs. Under this approval, there is no constraint on overall contribution or certain donation from a particular contributor for receiving Foreign Contribution. If the numbers of benefactors are more, the ngo needs to furnish all the contributor information along with their commitment letters and task reports corresponding to those donations which the ngo will receive. The application for registration of fcra is submitted in Immigrants Department of Ministry of Home Affairs in addition to other official documents including annual report, audited balance sheet, memorandum of the organization, registration certificate, savings account information, a need draft of 2000 inr in favor of Pay and Accounts Officer, Ministry of Home Affairs, dedication letter or task report in case of previous approval. The primary step in fcra is online declaring of the application at the website of Ministry of Home Affairs. Thereafter, within one month, IB confirmation of the non government company is done. Officially, it takes a period of three to 4 months for the entire process. In some cases, the registration procedure takes a longer time even upto 8 months.
