Future Education

In two years I plan on pursuing my Masters in Education. I am currently interested in

focusing on Exceptionalities and Adaptive Physical Education; however, that may change
in the next couple years. I am a true believer in lifelong learning. I believe that it is
essential that professionals are always furthering their education. By obtaining my
Masters and attending various workshops, conferences, etc., I will be improving myself
as a professional educator and coach. Not only will I benefit from furthering my
education but the students and staff I work with will as well.

Coaching/Leadership

In the next year I plan on obtaining my coaching certification. Most coaches today are
required to have a coaching certification. I would love to increase my knowledge on
how to be a better coach. My coaching practices translate to teaching and visa versa.
By becoming more educated on coaching the athletes I work with and I will benefit
tremendously.

I plan on attending as many leadership conferences and workshops as possible

throughout my teaching career. Leadership is a personal interest of mine. Becoming
educated on leadership and how I can increase my personal leadership practices has
been beneficial both in and outside of the classroom. In the future I aspire to obtain my
teaching leadership certification, I am interested in perhaps working in administration
someday within the school system.

Health and Wellness

In the next two years I plan on obtaining my Yoga Teacher Training certification. By
attaining this certification I will be able to teach yoga to students of all levels in the
school system. Yoga is now a part of the New Brunswick Physical Education Curriculum.
I want to be able to introduce and help educate my students on this amazing practice.
In our fast-paced, technology driven society our youth are stressed and overwhelmed
by doing yoga at school it is the only part of their day where they are mindful of
themselves and their surroundings, it is the only time where they are still and not
stressed.

In the next year or so I plan on running a full Marathon. I have run 6 Half-Marathons
and think it is time to complete a full. I hope to someday qualify for and run the Boston
Marathon.
