as a group. 8e,t, the c"ass %i"" $e introduced to the c"ass project of ma*ing a $oo* on story$ird and di ided into four groups %ith parent o"unteers. - groups %i"" $e on ipads and the other t%o on computers. /he group he"pers %i"" introduce the chi"dren to the techno"ogy and sho% the students ho% to get started. 6ay -7 6ay t%o the c"ass %i"" go $ac* into their groups for -2 minutes of "earning the $asics of the ipad or computer $eing used. /his can inc"ude mouse games, and typing games. /he ne,t 32 minutes the students can start the tit"e page of the $oo* and the first fe% pages. Pre-Assessment: Each time a story is read during circ"e time, the chi"dren are as*ed to rete"" the story, the parts of the $oo*, %ho %rites the $oo*, and %ho dra%s the pictures. /he se:uence of the $oo* is a"so discussed. /he chi"dren te"" %hat happened in the $eginning, midd"e and end.
