Perhaps you have a special skill or experience you would like to share. Meetings are in the evenings once a month for about an hour. It's an easy way to get involved and keep in the loop of what's happening at AK but not have to commit a lot of time. If you would like more information please contact Sue Lloyd at slloyd@mindspring.com or 704-541-9671.

$$$$$$$ Senior Scholarship Information $$$$$$$ We are in the process of collecting scholarship information for our seniors. This information is very important and will be reported to the district as well as included in the program for our upcoming Honors and Awards Ceremony. We want you to be included! Scholarship reporting forms are available in Student Services to record all scholarships (athletic and academic) and grants offered to our seniors. This information should be recorded even if they do not plan on accepting the award and/or attending that particular university. Please make sure a copy of the award letter, or award email, is attached to the scholarship reporting form and returned to Student Services as soon as possible. In order to be included in the Honors and Awards program, we must receive the scholarship information no later than Wednesday, April 30th. Senior Homeroom Visits: Important Year-End Information Counselors visited with our senior homerooms April 23rd, 24th and 25th to discuss important year-end information. Seniors will receive an instruction sheet detailing how to update their college information in Naviance and indicate which school they plan on attending. This is the only way we will know where to send their final transcript so it is very important that they complete this information. Additionally, students will receive a copy of a scholarship form to list all scholarships and grants received. Please be sure to list

everything regardless of whether or not they plan on accepting the scholarship and/or attending that particular university. Please be sure to attach a copy of the scholarship

award letter, or award email, to the form and return it to Student Services as soon as possible. Scholarship information cannot be entered without a copy of the award letter, we are more than happy to make a copy for you if you would like J. In order to be included in
