Have you ever wondered about
“Why MATH Is So Hard?” well here’s
a way that you can improve on your
MATH. If you have trouble doing
Algebra. Here’s a way to help you.
1: You must always have a number
sequence to solve.
2: You must have a variable in your
number sequence.
3: Lets say you have a addition
problem to solve. In order to solve it
you must do the opposite of the
problem so it is subtraction
4: Now you can subtract the prob-
lem.
5: Once you finish subtracting. The
answer you get is the answer for the
first problem.

Algebra Discoveries and Mysteries By: Alfonso

This article will be about
algebra and how to solve
algebra problems.
Algebra is a branch of
different mathematics,
using a variety of math
structures. It was discov-
ered by the Babylonians.
The Babylonians devel-
oped formulas to calcu-
late solutions for different
problems. The word
“algebra” comes from the
Arabic word al-jabr.
Some people say that
some algebra is a little
difficult. Well that person
could be right, depending
on the algebra problem or
the person. Let’s look at a
simple algebra equation,
3+y = 5. There is more
than on way to do this
problem. One way is ac-
tually pretty simple, all
you have to do is do the
opposite of the equation.
5-3 = 2, y = 2. To check
this problem you have to
substitute the y and turn it
into the number 2. Then
you just do 2+3 which is
equal to 5. There pretty
simple. This is one of the
ways. The other way has
more steps. And is maybe
a bit more confusing than
this simple way. Let’s try
a more complex problem,
4x+2=50. So what we are
trying to find out is what x
equals. So now we are
using the simple way
again. But first you have
to do 50-2 which equals
48. Next you have to di-
vide. 48 divided by 4x
which equals 12. So the x
is still there. So what you
do is substitute 12 for x.
And the equation would
look like this 4(12)+2=50.
This is how you check. 4
multiplied by 12 which
equals 48, then you have
to add 2 and then you get
the answer 50. Pretty
easy.

Why do people hate or like math???

Why do I like math? For me, I just like math because it is interesting. I don’t really
have my favorite subject, but I especially like math. When I was young, I liked numbers
because it looked really cool and simple, so I love number problem than reading problem.
I felt math was interesting because we use the same numbers to multiply, divide,
add, minus, and measure etc…. and use the same numbers to learn new method. But,
science and other subject are different. We have to learn new chapter that is really differ-
ent from the last chapters, so sometime I forget the whole information about last chap-
ters. Math is different, when I see the numbers, the numbers reminds me to practice or
just reminds me everything about the last chapter. Finally, math became my friendly sub-
ject, which makes me relax to study. Now, when I see the words from the book I really
want will to give up, but when I see the numbers I want to work on it forever!
Unfortunately, there are some people that hate math like my young sister. My
young sister said math is confusing, hard and boring. Her answers were just opposite of
mine. I didn’t understand at the first time, so I asked why, but she said she doesn’t know.
I understand her, because I thought about what Mr. J told us:
“Good mathematicians don’t give up.”
My younger sister always gives up at hard question and work on easy questions.
She had no interest on math.
In Conclusion, as Mr. J told us, if we want to like or to be good at mathematics,
don’t give up.
