Logging on to HIR server
• On Windows XP, Vista
– Start->Run
– Type \\140.247.182.60
– Type in username and password.

• On Windows Vista
– Enable Run command by right-clicking
Start and going to Properties.
• On Macs
– In Finder, on top menu bar, click
Go->Connect to server…
– Type \\140.247.182.60
– Select docs from the drop-down box.

Installing Software

• Install the right version (i.e.
XP vs Vista)
• Log in with your FAS email
username and password

Installing Sigmaplot
• Windows only.
• Run SPW10_WebInstall.exe in
docs\hir\media\software\sigma
plot
• Use serial number and
instructions found in
installation instructions.txt in
the same folder

Installing Fonts
• Janson Text, Gill Sans
• Copy all files from docs\issues\fonts
• Paste to C:\Windows\Fonts
– On Macs, paste (or drag) to
/Library/Fonts
i.e. open Finder, connect to server, click
Library, drag all fonts to Fonts.
