Digital Essay For my travel topic I decided to research the Pyramids of Giza, specifically the Great Pyramid. The project got me thinking about how the pyramids came to be and by whom. That is the most mysterious question of all. Doing further research I have come to the conclusion that a far more advanced civilization built the pyramids, and they were not intended to be tombs. There are many theories and speculations concerning who built the pyramids and how. I believe my research findings will help make

things a bit clearer. The first thing I had to understand was what exactly a tomb is used for. The fact that the mummy stayed in a tomb made sense, just not why it had to be inside of a pyramid. I found out that Egyptians believed that when someone passed away their goal was to remain united with their Ka and Ba, which represented the human spirits. Ka is ones personality, while BA is the part of the consciousness that is immortal. The mummification process was necessary because it prevented the body from decomposing, otherwise the dead couldnt reuse the body. The ancients would put the possessions of the deceased inside the tomb. This made the tomb the deceaseds home, which the Ka used to maintain its identity.

Then it would try to seek out Ba in order to achieve ankh: eternal life. These typical traits of tombs were

not found in any of the pyramids of Giza. They also didnt contain hieroglyphics or art which all the other pyramids at that time possessed. There is no direct evidence to support that the pyramids were used as tombs. There are also no records stating what they were used for and when it was built. This led me to even more questions about the Great Pyramids existence and it left room for more speculation. What were they really used for? There are many theories for the true purpose of the ancient pyramids of Giza. Some say it was a mystical temple for initiation rituals. Some also suggest it was a public works project to unite the country. Another theory, the Christopher Dunn theory, states that the pyramids of Giza are devices. He states the Great pyramid was a machine for producing power by converting tectonic vibration into electricity. career is in their precision fabrication and manufacturing industry also. In truth, modern construction companies could not have built the Great Pyramid today without inventing special tools and techniques in order to deal with the precision and 10-60 ton blocks. This would cost billions of dollars in resources.

This suggests that an earlier, unknown and more advanced civilization build the pyramids or at least helped the ancients. All of the other pyramids in Egypt are if lesser quality and all possessed the same characteristics of a typical tomb. If an earlier civilization built these, then that must mean that they were extremely advanced. This is a logical conclusion because the ancient Egyptians were very knowledgeable and believed in science. Therefore, the civilization must be older than we think it is.

In 1987, a group of geneticists claimed that all people descended from a single African woman once walked the earth 200,000 years ago. We all share the same mitochondrial DNA with her, Mitochondrial Eve. Humans couldnt have been primitive for that long! The pyramids of Giza are evidence that there may have been an older civilization here before the ancient Egyptians or maybe even an extraterrestrial one that visited the Earth during its making. Skeptics would want to know where the evidence of an advanced civilization is. But we have to keep in mind that the earth underwent 5 large mass destructions: the Ordovician, Devonian, Permian, Triassic and Cretaceous. This could have destroyed evidence of any other civilizations. Also, when Mount Toba, in Sumatra erupted it spewed so much ash in the air that is made devastating climate consequences. It was the largest explosion in the last 2 million years, about 10,000 times larger than Mount Saint Helens explosion in 1998. A six year volcanic winter followed, and then an ice age for 1000 years. This created a drought and famine and of course the last ice age the earth saw could be part of the reason why we dont have much evidence.

Who knows what mankind has accomplished in the past. I believe that a truly great and truly powerful civilization created the ancient pyramids or assisted the ancients. As I stated in my travel project, pyramids have real cosmic power.
