2.2 RESEARCH METHODOLOGY


Research is growing need in any organization of the present world! "t is helpf l in identifying the cons mer needs and wants so as to la nch a prod ct or to bring abo t impro#ement in the e$isting prod cts! This is done to gain competiti#e edge o#er others! % ccess of the research depends pon the methodology adopted! The st dy was based on descripti#e research &also known as e$planatory design'! The research methodology deals with the research design( data collection methods( sampling method( fieldwork( and the analysis and interpretation of research work!

2.2.1 RESEARCH DESIGN A research design is the specification of methods and proced re for ac) iring the information needed! Research design classified nder three broad categories * e$planatory( cas al and descripti#e! + t the researcher was concerned mainly with descripti#e research design! SAMPLING DESIGN & TOOLS APPLIED Samplin !"#$ni%&"' 2.3.1 Sampling Plan: ,ne of the main elements in the research design is sampling plan which is f rther di#ided into sampling nit( sampling size( sampling type! 2.3.2Sampling Unit: %ampling nit can be defined as the basic nit containing the implementation of open ERP in the company!
