45.11 Comparison with PT Flat Plate
Tutorial
Theresultsof theStripWizard analysisaresimilar but not
thesameas thePT Flat PlateTutorial. Thereasons for
different resultsinclude:
StripWizarddoesnotautomatically consider transverse
continuity effects.
Increasedbalcony loadsnot consideredby StripWizard.
StripWizardautomatically modifiedthedrapes inspans
2and 3(youcanchangetheseif youwish).
Longitudetendons notconsideredby StripWizard.
45.12 Conclusion
StripWizardallowsyoutoperformapreliminary or final
design for astripwithinafloor. Theresultsaresimilar to
thosegeneratedby any stripprogram, but not asaccurateas
aRAM Concept model that considersall of the
irregularitieswithinafloor.
