Canada’s commercial seal hunt.
Usually you flip the channel,

the paper. Sure, the images
are bloody and disturbing, but
it happens somewhere else – and
besides – this has nothing to do with
you, right?
Wrong.
Canada’s commercial seal hunt
is about you!
It’s about your country.
It’s about your money.
It’s about Canadians speaking out against an
inhumane and unnecessary industry.
And it’s about time our politicians paid attention.
It’s about Waste

hard-earned money is spent to provide support for
the sealing industry. Spent on Canadian Coast Guard
ice-breakers to lead sealers to the vulnerable pups.
Squandered on 4-star European trips for government
officials who try to find markets for seal products.

It’s about conservation
Climate change is destroying the harp seals’ breeding
habitat, causing many newborn pups to die.
Despite this, the federal government continues to
allow the slaughter of hundreds of thousands of young
seal pups each year.
