Operation
The chip conveyors convey the chips from the machin-
ing centres into the chip buffer hopper. These are shred-
ded by the optional chip cutter ready for transportation
depending on the chip shape and length.
The screw conveyor, which is integrated in the chip buff-
er, conveys the material to the suction sluice. Upon
reaching a defned fll level, the central control automati-
cally opens the shut-off valve and the chips are extract-
ed by a 500 millibar ultra-high vacuum.
The chips pass through the suction pipe into a flter sep-
arator. The vacuum is briefy suspended and the chips
fall into the material container or into the optional distri-
bution chute.
Any number of machining centres can be connected to
a Liqui chip extraction system. One or more heavy-duty
vacuum units can be used depending on the type of
chips, chip volume and screw conveyor. If different ma-
terials are processed in the production machines, they
can be easily extracted with one system and then dis-
tributed to different material receptacles or containers.
Coolants can be recovered with optional Liqui chip cen-
trifuges downstream and the chips actually degreased.
Every Liqui chip extraction system is individually de-
signed by our experienced engineers to the technical,
logistical and space requirements of the production
plant and installed ready to use.
