PROLOGUE

It is best to use the expressions Blackpeople instead of Black

people, Blackman instead of Black man; similarly, Whitepeople

instead of White people::::this is intended [in thiis book] to designate

Blacks and Whites as a "classification" or "distinct group" of people

based on natural law as involving biology (melanin). Instead, the

words Black and/or White, as psycho-social "adjectives", invoke

ideas and concepts of "racism" and "superiority/inferiority"

complexes. As such, it would be preferred to say Blackman or

Whiteman, instead of Black man or White man; similarly,

Blackpeople instead of Black people or Whitepeople and not White

people (based on this natural law idealogy). This is [a] very, very

important [new] concept to consider in order to make this book a

valuable experience.
What prompted the writing of this book was a very heated debate in

1991 (at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland) with a

brilliant scientist from Africa, whose arguments were in agreement with

Walter Rodney’s “How Europe Underdeveloped Africa”. I argued my basic

current ideology: The self-perpetuating saga of how Africa enslaves Africa

without remorse. I termed the principle of leadership in Africa a

hedonistic dictatorship. My friend claimed that the Congo, for instance,

was the way it was/is because the United States infiltrated this country with

the CIA; and that the late President Sese Seku was himself a CIA agent

employed by the United States to destroy his country. I was amazed at that

time, as I am today, by similar or identical allegations from educated Black

men and women. [I term them allegations because there are no tangible,

direct proofs (at this time) to intelligently substantiate and/or validate such

bold statements.] He would disagree with my argument that it was a Black

leader/dictator in charge and running his country where the economy was

demolished, and the majority of his people live in hopelessness and

dejection. His assessment on why and how almost every African nation is

plagued with tribal wars and oppression was, in my view, skewed and

tangential. The posterity of Blackpeople is doomed if we continue to

reason this way, and take no action to face our lack of responsibility.
This type of thinking has NOT changed anything since the past almost

over one hundred years, yet we continue this way. Why? We simply

blame everything on slavery and colonialism, blaming Whitepeople and

taking no responsibility for what goes on in us, and with us [Blacks]. This

book is primarily an assessment of the obvious so rampant among Blacks

today, and is based NOT on the opinion of others, but on the actual, vivid

daily experiences of our suffering many throughout the world. Someone has

to speak out on their behalf. Although it contains some strong language, the

book’s intention is single: To begin to foster the right type of discussion

about the plight of blackpeople and possible solutions.

Please note that throughout the text you shall encounter the

expression Blackpeople instead of Black people (or Blackman instead of

Black man, Whiteman instead of White man); this is intended to designate

Blacks and Whites as a "classification" or "distinct group" of people based

on natural laws involving biology/biochemistry (melanin), instead of using

the words White or Black as "adjectives" which invoke ideas and concepts

of "racism" and "superiority/inferiority" complexes. Blackpeople is

equivalent to the expression "Blacks"; similarly, Whitepeople to "Whites";

again, emphasizing a "distinct group" of nature's creation without reference

to the debased human practice rooted in [the] psycho-social abberation

involving [a ] supposed superior/inferior race. This is [a] very, very

important [new] concept to consider in order to make this book a valuable

experience.

By the time this book gets into print, we might have entered the

twenty-first century, and still will be lost in the jungles of our own making!

An enlightened One called this state or condition, and rightly so, “The Forest

of Errors”. We have lost two or more generations of our youth to drugs and

gun wars within the continental Unites States. In Africa and elsewhere, our

youths train in the camps of warlords who [the warlords themselves] have no

real game plan for the up-building of Africa. This behavior has repeated

itself from decade to decade in Africa and in other parts of the world where

Blackpeople are the rulers/dictators. In the United States, the behavior is in

the form Western African Tribalism where Blacks fight and kill each other

in the inner cities of America.

A most current excuse presented by Blackpeople is that the same

behavior has been observed among Europeans ( NON-Blacks) in Bosnia,

Albania, and Yugoslavia. But a distinction must be made between the

Bosnian Christian and Moslim uprising of the early 90s, that of the Serbs

socalled "cleansing" themselves of the Albanians through the oppression of

the then [now deceased] Slobodan Melosevich, and the unsettling state of
affairs and confusion observed in Africa and other parts of blackland such

as Haiti. The executors of the atrocities in Bosnia and Serbia gave their

behavior a name: “ethnic cleansing”. They are proud of it and they know

that they are/were responsible for their brutal and criminal acts against

humanity. The Serbs did NOT blame the West or other ethnic groups for

their actions---they kill their people intentionally and accept the blame and

responsibility for so doing. As for us Blacks, we pass the blame, take no

responsibility for self-inflicted crimes and nefariousness, but complain that

the “White" man is the cause of our barbaric acts against each other. Many

others, and I, believe the contrary! We [Blacks] alarmingly destroy

ourselves from generation to generation and from decade to decade

throughout the entire 20th century! We do not emphatically preach against

self-destruction and self-hate as practiced worldwide by our so-called elite;

and, we do not take appropriate steps to cure this disease, for that’s exactly

what it is. The time has come for us to rise to the occasion, beginning today

and, as a matter of fact, right now.

There is a fallacy which (certain) Whitepeople wish Blackpeople

would believe, i.e., that indeed, "Blacks" are the way [we] are because of

colonialism and neocolonialism (thus perpetuating the blaming saga); this

they claim to be true in pretense of sympathizing with us [Blackpeople]. If

we believe this lie, and continue NOT to find our strength in first admitting

that we are where we are over these gone decades and centuries because we

failed to do the right things, then we shall continue to be in the state of

backwardness and failure so obviously rampant among Blackpeople all over

Africa and throughout the world!

The major problem with Black leadership in Blackland lies in the

attempts to establish utopias based on tyranny and anti-egalitarianism.

Democracy can never take hold in Africa and throughout Blackland (i.e.,

wheresoever Blackpeople live) unless, and until, Blacks become aware of

their inalienable rights; and thence begin to establish in our consciousness

the oneness and power of the human spirit to defeat and conquer the ills and

unfavorable elements of life and environment. The "Black" problem, so to

speak, becomes a global problem, as such; and, like in the story depicted in

the Wizard of Oz, the solutions lie within ourselves. The truth is that most

Whitepeople know that the day we come to realize that we have been made

to believe a lie (the lie that : we are NOT capable of taking charge of our

lives and ways of life because Whitepeople have taken away our abilities to

do so through slavery and forms of colonialism), it is that day that we shall

begin the process of liberation and begin to walk the new path to self-

sufficiency and the utility of MIND/Consciousness ( our most precious

divine gift) for the regain of our inalienable heritage of fruitfulness,

prosperity, happiness and joy to replace the obvious practices of self-

destruction and purposelessness. We have been, and still are, the problem;

therefore we are, and shall be, the solution to our plight. Thus the central

essence of this book is to awaken us to a genuine assessment of our plight,

rid ourselves of, and cure, this worldwide subconscious infestation so

cancerously rampant among [us] Blackpeople.

INTRODUCTION

“In the long run, every man will face the penalty of his own

misdeeds. The man who remembers this will be angry with

no one, indignant with no one, blame no one, offend no one,

hate no one.” ---Epitectus

---Heraclitus

“He who [conquers his spirit] is mightier than he who taketh a

city.”

---The King James Bible

I wish to revolutionize the time and to introduce a “new thought”

which will positively change the view of Blackpeople throughout the world

if we are willing to heed. [The] purpose or intention here is neither to pass

judgement on, nor be indignant with, any group of people but to outline,

objectively, the situation at hand. Just a few weeks ago I was testing my

ideas in public before a small group of Whitepeople and Blackpeople. The

"Blacks" found themselves speechless; a Caucasian exclaimed, “A new

religion, not the Farrakhan religion, based on the emphasis of White-

instituted slavery, and thus inspiring Black youths to hate Whitepeople.” I

echoed back: you bet your bottom dollar it’s a new religion indeed, it is

called the Religion of Effectual Responsibility in Blackland. What was

positively pitiful about the Caucasian’s (truthful) statement about Black

violence and hate against Whitepeople is this: Blackpeople don’t ever

attempt to take out their violence against those whom they claim are the

causes for their dejection and poverty; i.e., an almost 100% Black-on-

Black violence. Why is this?

When [a] Rodney King is beaten by “White men”, we get

outraged and political sermons come echoing from Black (and White)

pulpits everywhere throughout the world; but when a mob of Black

teenagers kill other Blacks (like we see in Africa and the inner cities of the
United States of America), or even burn residential as well as business

buildings to ashes, Blackpeople say little or nothing about such criminal

behavior against ourselves. Some claim that such behavior is based on

frustration ignited by the oppression of "White supremacists" dating back

hundreds of years ago. We almost always re-turn to the conspiracy theory!

The frustration theory might hold temporarily (but goes to show that the

Blackman does not teach his child effective methods whereby to “conquer

his spirit” (that is, to control and direct his thought process and behavior in

the right direction toward peace, positive creativity, harmony and

prosperity); therefore [the child] does NOT demonstrate control of his life

and destiny toward a harmoniously peaceful end. To me, I do NOT see

Whitepeople doing the shooting and killing of Blackpeople; it is [we] who

carry out these heinous and wicked crimes against ourselves. When Black

ethnic groups (in South Africa, Nigeria, Liberia, Togo, The Congo, you

name the rest) mob each other and commit indescribable blood shed,

truculence, and acts of nefarious barbarism against one another, peoples of

Blackland seem afraid to criticize or speak out against such acts as if these

acts do not exist. We forget, or do not take the time, to realize that these are

the types of activities, and their root causes, for which Mr. Nelson Mandela,

the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and people like them, constantly strive
and gave their lives to eradicate among us. It is irrevocably and

unequivocally true that the only Black leader on earth today that has

demonstrated [throughout his exemplary, exampled historic life] the greatest

capacity for non-retaliatory leadership, fueled by the principle of [no

revenge], added to a universal code of love, is Mr. Nelson Mandela, former

President of South Africa. The other world leader has been Mr. William

Jefferson Clinton, President of the United States of America (for it is

believed that if Bill were to be given the chance, the world would be

transformed through this American leader who was willing to risk his life for

peace throughout the world). [Do you remember President Bill Clinton's

visit to Nigeria? This guy was dressed in an African chieftain regalia,

marching in the streets with common people as, essentially, his Security

Guards; people were touching him shaking hands with him while he walked

among them boldly and seemingly unafraid! The first American

President, ever, one might rightfully say, to have moved among

Blackpeople in the Third World with such courage and authenticity of

spirit (!). Do you remember that guy? That U.S. President? That was

William Jefferson Clinton!] (I know the Clinton haters don't like this credit,

but I don't care because it is the truth! And, shame on them!) In addition,

Mr. Mandela has made the most outstanding changes in recent history in
bridging the HATE GAP between Whitepeople and Blackpeople

worldwide.

However, the excuse that such wickedness as practiced by us against

ourselves (as demonstrated throughout areas of Black quasi-leadership and

dictatorial rule universally) is caused by "Whites" is, in one’s objective

view, baseless in that to the extent that they ("Whites") participate in the

process, it is we [our rulers/quasi-leaders] who execute the destruction.

This is the truth, and the most important point in the history of

Blackpeople especially in the 20th century and before. The frightening

question is this: Shall we sit back and enter the 21st century with this type of

mentality? I am afraid that’s exactly what is going to happen, because we

have not prepared ourselves for the types of changes necessary to ignite

self-freedom and to execute peace in Africa and throughout the world.

On the other hand, to constantly blame Whitepeople and excuse

ourselves by a perpetual (silent) assertion that Black-on-Black destructive

behavior is excusably acceptable, is a sign of utmost ignorance and sheer

barbarism on the part of [us] Blackpeople. It is a known fact that Whites

treated Blacks as slaves in the 20th and (probably in) previous centuries

also; but nobody wishes to address the truth that [Blacks sold Blacks] into

slavery, and that those sold were the victims, or POWs, of tribal and
ethnic wars so rampant in Blackland even to this very day! Those of us

who talk about these types of practices are NOT usually welcome by

Blackpeople; some say that we have been bought into "White" racist camps.

Utter nonsense! I, for one, am just an individual tired of the blood shed of

Blackpeople [by] Blackpeople, such acts constantly blamed on past

activities of slavery; because slavery and colonialism are not the cause(s) of

the wickedness and evil Blackpeople do to ourselves. It is very painful to

see the way we treat each other. Is this not obviously plain? Can’t we see

the self-destruction? A true cause of all of this is that the consciousness

of Blackpeople and OUR leadership is not as yet enlightened, as we

live in a delusion and an illusion of our own making. We choose to

believe a lie, part of which is self-created and self-imposed!

In the Unites States of America [we] Blackpeople buy and sell into

the drug and gun industry despite the wealth and resources possessed by

Negro actors and actresses as well as those of the sports industry! (May I

ask: Can the millions of either [an] Oprah Winfrey or [a ] Michael Jackson

or [a] Michael Jordan be exhausted if each one of them spends her/his

money alone in ten life times? The answer is probably NO.) [Oprah

Winfrey, though, is a "glorious" woman:she has demonstrated and taught

LOVE by her examples. We all know the story through her televised shows.
She is a "bigger-than-life" woman whose (spirit of) generosity radiates

everywhere!] She's a winner! Her winning power joined to that of Barack

Obama, and see what happened? We have a President Barack Obama!

In Africa, each Nigerian is a potential millionaire (an assumption that

could be supported based on the vast oil resources of that wonderful African

land); but the country is replete with human beings living in abject poverty

and hopelessness while the money of the oil mines is being herded by a

handful of the few self-made elite. In an October, 1999 issue of the

Washington Post, Mr. Charles Taylor (the then self-made President) of

Liberia was reported as trading guns and ammunition with gold miners and

helping to train rebel fighters in the Sierra Leone civil war! In that very

same article, is a picture of a very handsome young man whose hand had

been brutally amputated by rebel fighters in Sierra Leone; he is left crippled

for the rest of his life for doing nothing wrong to those who chose to have

him disfigured, crippled, and incapacitated. Why is this type of practice so

rampant among Blackpeople? Damn!! (Please excuse my lingo; but these

types of activities send shock-waves through me.) Others say our

rulers/dictators act the way they do because of the aftermath of colonial

rule. Where is the sense of right or wrong, even if the "colonial theory"

were true? Where is the sympathy and/or empathy for one’s [own
people]?

We all remember, during the NATO/Yugoslav bombing, three

Americans were captured as POWs; do you remember what the President of

the United States (at the time Clinton) said in a nationwide televised

speech? He said: "Let Mr. Milosovich make no mistake, America takes care

of her own”. That’s America for you, baby! To the contrary, African

dictators don’t care whether their people live or die! I am making this up!

This is self-evident on a daily basis among Blackpeople; simply pay

close attention to what goes on in Africa and elsewhere. Why is this so?

Why aren’t our rulers reasoning that they, too, like our ancestors and

every human being, shall pass away.....shall die? Most often, these corrupt

powers do not endure for long. (Samuel K. Doe of Liberia, where is he? He

was literally butchered alive in retaliation for his cruelty and blood-smeared

dictatorship.) Why should that have happened? Where is Charles Taylor

currently, the self-made Dictator/President Taylor? Where is he?

At this point in history, every Black child, woman and man

throughout the world must be asking these series of unavoidable questions:

“What is wrong with Blackpeople? Why are we not succeeding? Why are

we not just getting anywhere?” By this “NOT getting anywhere”, I refer

not to the individual and fragmented successes of a few hundred (greed-

driven) wealthy Blacks [who are contented with their (personal) affairs and

who do NOT care about Blackpeople as a whole], as contrasted to the

impoverished countless multitudes of Blacks throughout the world. I wish

we could, and would, be concerned about the overall success of Blacks and

Black posterity. We pay only lip services to this grand and worthy

undertaking, except for a few (genuine) Spirits like Oprah Winfrey,

President Bill Clinton, President Nelson Mandella, Secretary of State

Hilary Rhodham Clinton, Bill Cosby, to name a few.

The situation has escalated to tremendously grave proportions,

certainly and definitely irreparable within this millennium! When Africans

(i.e., every Black person throughout the world is an African) kill and

destroy each other, pollute our bodies with mind-altering drugs in an

attempt to escape the sad realities of life—most of which are self-created—

we should say, “we have done it to ourselves, we have created a monstrous

demon”. What is most disheartening is that we blame the so-called “White"

man for this self-destruction. We clearly have not been humble to accept

responsibilities, take matters in our hands, and begin to create solutions for

the problems so blatant in Black communities worldwide. Now, it is too late

to accomplish as we are entering, or have already entered, a new era. We

blame others for our faults and failures. Indeed, we have made the
Blackman’s Plight the Whiteman’s Blame !

It is being made clear here that this manuscript is not intended to

pacify Blackpeople and ignor our daily, day-by-day, living experiences, as

regards our responsibilities as a “class” throughout the world who fervently

participate in our destruction and the destruction of the continent. As a

matter of fact, I have been considered a heretic and deviant from the

expected norm of blaming the West, the White (socalled "wicked", "racist"

man), for the backwardness, corruption, and decay of the African economy,

her pride and sense of self-worth. Why? Because I have refused to join the

bandwagon of finger-pointing, confused, and hopeless people of my race

who refuse to tap their inner powers for the betterment of ourselves and the

world!

A significant argument has been that Africa is known to Africans,

historians, and anthropologists as the “cradle” of civilization; some even

believe that Africa is the geographical mother of all people of all races. But

why, if all this were true, has the continent become the most backward of all,

and harbors what, in an objective view, are people who profess to be leaders

and educators but behave as brutes, savages and barbarians? [Who are now

the leading Pirates on planet earth? Somalians? I thought so!] The

barbarity, brutality, and savagery are all around us, sticking out like a
sore thumb at us [Blackpeople]. He who points this out is labelled

“bought by the White man”. Bill Cosby pointed this out to us, but there

are Blackpeople who don't like him because he spoke the truth.

We blame the West for our conceptions and ideas too, don’t we?

During the slave trade, Blacks sold their brothers and sisters to future

oppressors in exchange for trifling commodities like tobacco, tobacco-pipes,

walking canes, etc. Do we still do the same today but in different forms? I

mean, do Blacks still betray each other (to some [m]aster on the job, etc.);

look around you, don’t you see this happening? Happening almost every

day, for that matter?

Africa’s enlightened minds flood countries out of the continent in

literal exile because of fear of oppression and persecution by their

leaders/dictators. These fleeing men and women have the powers to

liberate themselves and establish systems to free the minds of their people in

Africa; but they’re driven out to other countries, most often to the West.

The African leadership is a sadistic dictatorship, a system which may

well be depicted as The Anarchy of Hedonistic Dictators.

Almost every African leader is a dictator; he imprisons and tortures

his people and enjoys his acts by living in (relative) wealth and hedonism at

the expense and degradation of his countrymen and women. When a

President Samuel K Doe kills his fellow citizens and buries children alive, or

when a Mr. Charles Taylor turned a self-made President Taylor (with no

concrete plans and good will except to satisfy egotistic desires and greed for

power), or when a President Mobuto Sese Seku orders his militia to attack

obviously unarmed band of 70-year old women marching in protest to his

outright cruelty, one cannot help but to think that these supreme hedonists of

Africa are enshrouded in apparent mental states of sadistic euphoria.

But is there any hope? Thank God there is! How? We should stop

blaming and begin to take action; build effect family values, train our

children to adopt the proper mental attitudes for success; build schools and

institutions for higher learning in Africa that would be run by the best minds

(to name a few strategies). These are ideas not new to African people, you

may argue. True. But why are we not implementing them?

These are the issues which vex the “being” of those of us who see that

we destroy ourselves in many obvious ways, and the Whiteman is not to

blame. This is why I have decided to write on the plight of Blackpeople,

the Plight of Africa [her hedonistic dictatorships, failed economy, saddened

and hopeless people], and Africa's possible futile destiny. The aim of this

book is to begin very critical and constructive discussions and to help us to

begin to change our attitudes and help us see why we should love each
other. If considered a heretic, dissenter, and a nonconformist by readers of

Blackland, then so be it! I take no offense because it would be your opinion;

but I believe that if this text is read with the proper attitude and mind-set for

“change”, the truths herein expounded are hidden in the concepts being

elaborated. Please do NOT expect me to be apologetic for speaking out

about the obvious and true intended to enlighten our minds by pointing out

our faults, and from there suggest or implement change for a better world

whether we be Europeans, Asians, Africans, or Americans. The plight of

Blackpeople is the plight of the world, the burden that is shared directly or

indirectly by all races and people. As such, we [Blacks] should be brave

enough to face the ignominy and opprobrium of our behavior, repent and

turn on a “new leaf”, so to speak. We, from the very beginning (e.g., the

global slave trade) were a significant part of the problem; and we, therefore,

are the solution. The Blackman’s Plight is NOT the Whiteman’s Blame.

To this, we must all agree!

PART ONE: THE PLIGHT
Chapter One

AFRICA: CRADLE OF CIVILIZATION

“Africa, being the original home of man, was obviously a major

participant …in which human groups displayed an even

increasing capacity to extract a living from the natural

environment. Indeed, in the early period, Africa was the focus

of physical development of man as such, as distinct from other

living beings.”

---Walter Rodney

Anthropologists have categorized the various cultures of man into

savages, barbarians, and civilized. The civilized have been depicted as those
who have ascended the ladder [from] savage behavior (those merely

sustaining themselves on fish, wild nuts, and herbs; who had no conception

of more sustainable agricultural methods, and who lived in caves and

excavations) [to] those who ascended the various ranks of savagery and

barbarism to the state of being able to develop a form of “written” language

(i.e., phonetics, hieroglyphics, and the like). It has been documented that

all of humankind, all races and people of this earth, have had these

experiences and have had to ascend the ladder of culture and civilization

(i.e., irrespective of race, color, or creed).

What can be gleaned or learned from these analyses is that the

consciousness of man evolves from one level of conceptualization to

another, as such that today we [the human race] have conceived of touring

the deepest of seas and oceans as well as the limitless realms of outer space.

It seems likely, then, that mankind has the capacity [the intrinsic ability] to

rise from level to level of conceptualization and creativity harmony! To

what end? --one might ask. To the end of realizing and experiencing the

ease and comfort of life that can be attained through the conquering of the

undesirable patterns of life, as well as those adverse effects of environment

(part of which may be consciously or unconsciously created by man). After

all, man, the human, is a [god]!

Therefore, imagine humankind now (physically and otherwise)

compared to his states of being and existence in past eras and millennia. It is

thought that mankind’s origin has been traced to Africa. Indeed some

scientists have been bold to claim that the first human form bears

characteristics of the Black race. Even Jesus, the [Christian savior] of the

world, is thought my many to have been Black (i.e., his hair was as lamb’s

wool [i.e., his hair was kinky and Negroid ] LOL!! ). Further, that the

conceptual materialization for human advancement and civilization all has

roots in Africa is documented; some historical accounts say it all began in

Egypt (the so-called cradle of civilization). At this, there are those of us

who think that the "White" race and its modern descendants claim credit for

the creation of civilization in its various forms and so we take pride in the

idea that after all, "Blacks" are ingenious and clever; but we [Blackpeoples]

have been [made slaves by "wicked" White people who have no love and

show no kindness].

The discussion in this book carries a different view, put in the form of

a question as follows: Why is it (with all our [Black] powers of ingenuity,

creativity, potential and talent---all these we undoubtedly unequivocally

possess) that Africa has declined, and remains as such, so rapidly beginning

[within] the past century or two, into what we are now today? Why have
we, as a culture and people, become one of the most impoverished, savage,

barbaric, self-destroying, inhumane, and uncivilized group of people and

continent extant? Our current behavior, worldwide, repeats itself from

generation to generation; and we have made ourselves experts at raising

dictators from decade to decade and from generation to generation.

Why? Why? Why? Our leaders/rulers/ dictators don’t seem to get it.

What is wrong? Is the continent of Blackpeople truly the cradle of

civilization? It is probably true that there have been "Black" civilizations

centuries before this, the current Western one. But why are we

[Blackpeople] become so auto-destructive? This question is NOT for

Whitepople to answer; rather we [Blackpeople] should rise to the task.

CHAPTER TWO

AFRICA: THE DARKEST CONTINENT

How could one mind enslave another, and whence comes the

power to do so except that an [enslaving] mind formulates and

executes principles which enslave; while the [enslaved] is as it

[the enslaved mind] is because it creates and enacts principles

of self-defeat and auto-destruction?

Many years ago, authors from the West referred to Africa as “the
dark continent”. The expression “dark" engenders hostility and resentment

in the mind of almost all Blackpeople[s] (note: the "s" is added to suggest

various subcultures within the Black race) everywhere, including me, in that

the “White man” (the racist, in our thinking) calls our continent “dark”. The

expression conjures ideas and concepts of backwardness and degeneracy.

Blackpeoples, especially, may be prejudicial and resentful about

Whitepeople calling the origin of Blackpeople “dark”; thus meaning or

suggesting primitive, backward, uncivilized, jungle dwellers, etc. But I have

always wondered as to whether we, as an ethnic and cultural group of

people, have contemplated why Africa was, or is, so called. What in the

world did these people mean, truthfully and sincerely, when they called

Africa “the dark continent”? (Note the definite article “the”.) It’s amazing,

isn’t it? It's also thought-provoking! Don't you agree? Smile!

We might not know exactly what was on the minds of those who

coined the expression, although we may retain our rights to thinking that

such an expression is derogatory, demoralizing, and demeaning; but one’s

current, objective observations might validate this type of name-calling,

and that Africa, indeed, deserves being so called in the sense that we might

interpret as uncivilized and depraved. [Look at the current gangsters of

Somalian piracy? Now, would we be angry if we are referred to as "dark"? ]

As such, it would not be a mistake to say that Africa is [the darkest

continent]. Why? And in what ways? Let’s reason in a true/false

manner; this is a self-analysis process so please keep your answers quietly to

yourself. But, as a Black person, be honest and sincere. You, the reader,

are invited to please be objective, calm, and relaxed; and,

think/meditate on these things.......

The analysis is thus: (1) One of the most corrupt and deteriorated

economic system over the past three-quarters of a century has been

formulated in Africa through the [co-operative awareness] of African

dictators (T or F ? ) (2) Africa has proven to be unable to lead herself---we

raise dictators, not LEADERS, from generation to generation.(T or F?) (3)

We [Blackpeople] as a class and culture, have NOT demonstrated

constructive plans whereby we may raise ourselves to the level of civilized

democracy.(T or F ? ) (Note: There are those in Africa who believe that

socialism and communism, as have been experienced by humankind

today, have a better chance among Blackpeoples; this is NOT true.

Socialism and communism shall further divide us and breed lazziness,

lack of contructive creativity, greed, and dictatorship regimes worse

than what we have today.) (4) The Organization of African Unity (OAU)

served, and has always served, NO practical purposes; but, objectively,

consists of a group of hedonistic dictators who attend meetings from year to

year, squandering the little that Africa has for personal pleasures, without

implementing constructive goals that would objectively make Africa

economically and technologically competitive on a global scale.(T or F ? )

(5) Every African country, for over the past one hundred years, has been

LEARNING how to survive; I say [LEARNING], in that we have not even

begun to know how to devise and implement workable solutions and

strategies for the survival of our people.(T or F?) (Note: With the livelihood

of Africa being plagued by dictatorship governments throughout

history, one wonders if it were better to live under the so-called colonial

rule!!) (6) African politics is so degenerate that the great egotistical

struggle for corrupt power (where the enslaved people have been made to

have NO voice, no say-so, in their personal welfare), leaves country after

country economically devastated and ruined either by aimless, purposeless

WARS (like in Rwanda or Liberia), or starvation and indescribable poverty

(like what we saw in Ethiopia years ago and in Somalia and Haiti also).(T or

F?) (7) Over 80% of Africa’s best educators and educated have fled their

respective countries for fear of death. Who would listen to them in Africa?

Dictators have the guns as opposed to the ultimate FUTILE power of the

pen.(T or F?) (i.e,[ I would not dare write and/or publish this book in
Africa without facing a brutal, fatal retaliation from a dictator; an

example is Nigeria’s notorious execution in 1995 of a political activist

(What was his name? Do you remember? Was he Mr. Abacha? )] (8)

Africa blames the West for her backwardness, claiming that we auto-destruct

because the “White man”, particularly the United States of America, is the

cause. But observe this: Africans flee to the West, to America, for succor

and asylum in times of war and blood shed in their respective countries.(T or

F?) (Isn’t this paradoxical, though? What do you think? You run to

your enemy to give you food and drink and to save your life? Am I

stupid to reason this way? Seriously, think about it.) And while he, your

enemy, is feeding you for that matter, you damn and curse at him in outrage

and bitterness for no objectively sensible reasons, too? This happens all

the time. We [Blackpeople] are generally a sick-minded people hopelessly

hopeless and in need of help.Yes! Why? Because we are NOT using our

God-given abilities to save ourselves!(Tor ?)

In America, we [Blackpeople] demand that the Federal Government

reimburses us for (past) physical slavery; but those wealthy Blackpeople

who possess millions and millions of dollars, more or less, literally refuse

to create objectively tangible changes in the lives of the massive numbers of

needy and dying Blackpeople even in our American communities! Blacks

are NOT united and we DO NOT pool resources to solve [our] problems.

Blackpeople practice individualism and selfishness to the core. Observe

Whitepeople: they are individualistic like all humans are, but when it

comes to solving a Whitepeople-related problem, they put aside their

divisiveness, pool resources and tackle their problem with a oneness so

outstandingly unique and indomitable. This is true! See what

happened all over the United States when White teenagers went out on a

shooting rampage throughout schools, especially in Colorado in 1999?

See how Whites responded? In comparison, how do we "Blacks" respond to

South East Washington, D.C.shootings and killings, to the inhumane

massacres in the name of civil war in Sudan, Somalia and other parts of

Africa? Please, let's take a step back: Does anybody really know what is

the purpose of the socalled Civil Wars in Africa? What are these wars

intended to accomplish? Does anybody, especially any Black person,

know?

So, those of us in our "Black" communities who see no way out of

[our] plight, but must inevitably meet demands for daily sustenance, buy

and sell into the “drug” business as means wherewithal to meet [our] needs.

I believe that this behavior can be discontinued and avoided if the wealthy

Blacks can pool resources in order to rehabilitate our people, young and
old. This can be done. How? We can find a way, Blackpeople are

incredibly ingenious creatures! The problem is we DO NOT utilize our

talents to salvage ourselves;and it is very frustrating and annoying. This is

the core issue behind this book .

I would ask all Africans this, citing a few examples: did the White

man kill the villagers in remote parts of Liberia at the command of “White”

colonialists and militia men? Is Mr. Charles Taylor a “White man”? Are

the presidents/dictators of Ethiopia, Somalia, Nigeria, Zaire, Senegal,

Rwanda, and all other such countries in Africa “White”? Of course not!

So, how can we blame self-destruction and principles of self-hate on

someone else? Some brothers and sisters do not like this kind of straight

talk. But believe me thou, if you please, that it is quite painful to see

Blackpeople all over the world and in every institution globally, destroyed

by their own people. When will we see this and when will we stop it? We

ruin ourselves, take no responsibility, pass the blame, and complain,

complain, complain.

Please read the following true story carefully (and without bias). I,

Pylord, have had the experience of being flogged and hand-cuffed in the

streets of Monrovia, Liberia during the early periods of the Samuel Doe

regime because I dared to think differently in a situation where I defended a

“White” American missionary who was being accused of “threatening the

life” of the then Vice Head of State of Liberia; this happened in July of

1984. This missionary worked with my brother and my father, both of

whom were Pastors and heads of Christian churches in Monrovia and rural

Liberia, respectively. I knew the man very well, I visited him almost every

week since I could make contact with my father through the mission's hand-

held radio. I knew he came to Liberia to teach and bring some kind of light

and understanding to our people. This Missionary, whose name I choose to

omit, lives in the United States today. He was driving into the heart of

Monrovia to do routine duties when the Vice head of State’s motorcade

came zooming through the streets from Paynesville toward "capitol hill" in

Monrovia.

The missionary was driving in the same direction as the motorcade

when he was overtaken and ordered by the police, to “pull over” and stay put

until they (the police) returned; this command stemmed from the fact that

my “White” friend did not move away as immediately as he should have (as

is customary) while Presidential motorcades drove recklessly by. I

serendipitously arrived at the scene, and noticed a man appearing as if frozen

with fear (especially after the virtual “legalized terrorists” had just driven

by). I asked him why he did not move away immediately. He said that at
the time the motorcade came by, he could not immediately pull over because

there was an excavation in the road just ahead; and had he driven into it, he

would have damaged the vehicle and injured himself. I encouraged him to

continue his trip; and both of us drove together toward down-town

Monrovia.

Surely and truly the police came to pick him up. He was accused and

charged with “attempting to kill the Vice head of State”. Obviously, with

the information I had, that allegation was weird and bizarre! (Sometimes

one wonders if these types of human beings are really in a normal state of

mind.) Notwithstanding, I intervened and pled with them, suggesting that

the man was a Missionary who meant to do no harm, and that he was

terrified at the site of a steep gutter just ahead of him at the time and could

not drive into it, fearing to hurt himself. This gave them enough reason to

incriminate me as well. I was also charged. What was the evidence for all

of this? NONE WHATSOEVER! We were both (apparently) headed for

prison, the missionary and I; and for Pylord, probably never to return.

But something mysterious happened: a certain police colonel who

was in command of the “special-unit squad” at the capitol building to where

we were taken on that very day and hour, knew me by name and saved me!

Knowing the “cruelty” with which our people operate in Africa, I believe it
was an act of the Almighty (God) who sent that man there at the right time

and the right place to save me. The charge they levied against me

(specifically to the colonel) was: "obstructing police operations, conniving

with a suspect, and accepting bribe”. [These creeps did not have a single

evidence for their allegations; simply put, in their mind and reasoning, I was

defending a White man "the enemy" of Blackpeople.] Were it not for this

police Colonel, I was destined for what may be called the “slaughter-bench”

of Liberia. He, the Colonel, knew the name “Pylord Doe” (as I was known

for my activities in student politics at the University of Liberia some time

ago), and the Pylord Doe he [the Colonel] knew (and thank God I am the

only “Pylord” on earth) could not have been involved with the types of

description these guys were alleging. No one could have been that lucky

those days in Monrovia, except through the handiwork of some

mysterious powers watching over him.

He came up and saw me, to his surprise, in handcuffs and said, “Doe,

what’s going on?” That the Colonel knew me personally and by name,

struck terror in those police officers; one could see it written on their faces.

The Colonel ordered my immediate release and ordered that they set us free

immediately and never again to engage in such an "incriminating act”.

Goodness gracious! What? Unbelievable! “Incriminating acts”? Was I

simply that "lucky"?

This is the point: The senselessness of African power and dictatorship

has been going on from decade to decade for over a century and may

continue indefinitely. DESTRUCTION IS CURRENTLY THE

HEARTBEAT OF AFRICA AND AFRICANS, AND THE HEARTBEAT

OF BLACKPEOPLE(S) AGAINST THEMSELVES, AND THAT BEAT

GOES ON AND ON AND ON. (You know that song...."the beat goes on

and on..."?] What a plight! Look around yourself and around the world.

See Blackpeople suffering. And suffering at the HANDS of their own

leaders! Isn’t this true?

ANALYSIS: We and our dictators are caught in self-created cobwebs

of mental slavery. (We imagine that we are enslaved and so we become

exactly what we think—mental slaves.) The slave masters of yore had the

[p]ower and [w]ill to free us from [their] physical chains of bondage and

cruel treatment. What I know, and they (the slave masters) knew and would

know today is this: that the Whiteman, our currently supposed oppressor,

does NOT have the power to free us from mental slavery and bondage.

One thing has always intrigued me and it is this: How could one

mind enslave another, and whence comes that power to do so except that

the enslaving mind formulates principles to enslave; while the enslaved

mind creates, accepts, and enacts principles of slavery, self-defeat, and

auto-destruction?

The Unites States and the entire West are NOT perfect; we and our

western leaders know this as an undeniable fact: even [we] the Americans

ourselves know this. Prejudice, racial bias (and all their cousins and

nephews, so to speak, which breed hate and destruction still exist here in

America and in other western nations; like elsewhere, these hate acts are

practiced daily by the unenlightened, by both Blackpeople and

Whitepeople). I am an active victim (even now, as I write this manuscript)

of racial discrimination and prejudice at the hands of government

employees at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland; and

readers of this book who know me, know of the story. I suffered at the

hands of [a] racist Jew, who recruited a few (gravy-seeking) Blacks,

including a Black male scientist, to help him carry out his deadly acts. On

the other hand, I have kind and loving Jewish friends who were outraged,

virtually pisssed and angry, at this “unacceptable” behavior. (Note: Not

because this man was a “Jew” made him a racist; some of the most racist

human beings to be known are non-Jewish Black people of African origin,

living among us today as we speak.) Did you know who my lawyer was in

this case (Doe vs Shalala)? She is a White lady who fiercely fought for
justice in this case; she was being supported by a “White” church. "Black"

Law Firms treated me as if I were an “untouchable creature”; Black people I

knew laughed at, and made fun of, me. I was married to a Black American;

she mocked me and called the Police to throw me out of the apartment

because she said that I was a trouble maker and I was not employed at the

time (!). Say a painful experience? Yes, indeed it was. A Jewish Physician

and his Wife (in Northern Virginia ) heard of me and brought me to their

home and fed me, and put money in my pocket!! Yes, this is a true story!

They rehabilitated me; I ate of the best food and had a roof over my head.

From their home, I got a job at Georgetown University Medical Center with

Professor Daniel J. Clauw.

But returning to the more serious issues at hand, the numbers of

"Blacks" killed, or caused to be killed by other "Blacks" including dictators

and supremacists, and "Black" gangs throughout the world and throughout

history, outstandingly and tragically supercede those (numbers of) "Blacks"

that might have ever been killed at the direct hands of "Whites" anywhere

throughout the world at any point in time. If I am wrong, take the time to

show me authentic statistics. Please begin your counts with the over fifty

years of simultaneous or concurrent (purposeless) gorrilla wars in recent

time in different parts of Africa; begin in East Africa and Sudan, also come
to Liberia and Nigeria with your couts;my conclusions are based on what I

see and know during my life time, and what my father told me about tribal

wars fought over nearly one hundred years ago, even before my daddy was

born. And what may prompt you, or I, to believe that history is NOT

inclined to repeat herself in this instance when it comes to Black-on-Black

slavery, crime, and blood shed?

Did you know that (former) General Idi Amin of Uganda was a

blood-thirsty, cadaver-eating dictator? He has been named in a book titled

the "most Evil Men and Women Of History". The Whitepeople themselves

(who, by those of us trapped in the perpetuating ideological cobweb of the

slavery saga) could not understand this man and even attempted to stop him

from destroying his own people. A not-too-distant example is General

Cedras of Haiti! How is it about the ex-dictator Samuel K. Doe of Liberia?

And have you observed that these are the types and kinds of

leaders that Blackpeople love to have ? For example, General Aideed of

Somalia; this man ruined and divided his country tribally yet the Somalians

hailed him as their (invincible) leader Aideed! Can one understand this?

(Not even Sigmund Freud would figure this one out!). The Somalians

killed and dragged an American Soldier in the streets of their city::::one of

the greatest acts of ignorance by Blackpeople, ever! Can Somalia fight a

battle against the United States? Such an attempt would be inviting

suicide, as America can "wipe out" Somalia in the blink of an eye, Yo!

These are some of the [acts] that cause the United States to want to stay out

of the business and economic depravity of African nations these days, and

yet we wonder why? And, if the United States refuses to engage with our

economic situation in Africa, should we blame her, given the virtual billions

and billions of U.S. dollars in the form grants/loans to Africa that have be

personalized and stolen from the African people by [their] African dictators

over the past nearly 100 years? Stop and think about it!

Read this carefully, this is from the U.S. of A: If each person who

attended the Million Man March held in Washington, D.C. had donated [a]

dollar to the “Black cause”, so to speak, of that day Mr. Louis Farrakhan had

an increase of [over] One Million Dollars in his coffers. Did those poor

and needy Blacks come out in search of genuine answers to their plight, or

did they come to “identify” the "perceived" enemy which their

(militant) leader(s) claim to exist, while their "Black" leaders’ check

book(s) became (financially) "edematous" by at least not less than half a

million dollars? One could argue that Mr. Farrakhan’s endeavors have

done some good, indeed, but there are still "Blackpeople" begging at Metro
stops in the big cities throughout America; the youths are still destroying

themselves over drugs, gold necklaces, sport cars, etc. (Most importantly,

"Black" political leaders and “political enchanters” DO NOT consistently

speak out AGAINST these types of behavior among ourselves, whereby

nationally mobilized efforts to stop the auto-destruction would be

effectuated.) The Jews who most socalled civilized Blacks hate are NOT

found at these metro stops begging here in America and in Africa! And

probably you will never, ever see it! Why? Those people take care of each

other (especially here within the United States). [A Jewish family did it to

me, a non-Jew, they brought me home and took care of me, so I have

first hand evidence.] Let’s put on thinking caps and see the difference,

my friends !

How in the world could anyone, thinking rightly, would have

followed a man like Benjamin Chavis who, just a few months prior to “the

March”, had an established record of misappropriating “the NAACP” funds?

[At least this was the publicized allegation—which most definitely could

have had some basis of truth to it. Don’t you think so?] We need Professor

Carl Jung to psychoanalyze those of us, including Pylord, who follow such

a leader! (Professor Jung! Professor! Are you there? He does not seem

to be answering. See, even Carl is NOT responding---he cannot figure

this one out!)

The Mind Set of the West: What is the ruling principle of the mind

of the leaders of the West, in terms of preserving the civilization of their

people and that of the entire world? Despite the political rivalry between the

Democrats and Republicans in the United States, when the dust settles, the

basic fabric of the prevailing Cosmo-consciousness of the founding fathers

of this the greatest nation in the world must, and shall, be preserved. Make

no mistakes about it! This is one of the factors which make America what

she is, i.e., the greatest nation in the world! We must all agree that there is

no country in the whole world like the United States of America. With all

things considered objectively, No Not One! I repeat, there is no country

in the whole, wide, world like the United States of America. Did you

hear me loudly and clearly? With all its prejudices, hate, and (illegal) racial

practices America remains the best place on planet earth with (compared to

most other nations) the best principles to support human life and dignity than

any other single (including Black-ruled) nation in the world. To those

Blacks (and Whites) who disagree with me, I have this one suggestion:

leave the United States and go live in Africa, or any other developing

nation just for 12 months; you shall have a rude awakening, an

experience of immense human cruelty, and suffering, that is inflicted by

Black dictators and from which there exists no current possibility for

survival without the help of the best, which we so hatefully disdain and

decry, the Great United States of America(!).

Finally, we were designated “the dark continent” but now we should

consider ourselves the darkest continent by objective criteria as assessed

through our analysis above. We need to shut up our not-well-meaning

mouths opened with blame and (venomous) accusations against the

Whiteman and the West, and stop shifting the blame for our so blatantly

self-created decadence and deterioration, and begin to take concrete actions

to emancipate ourselves. The power that rules is of the mind, and mind

and its principles are ubiquitous. Can we not, ourselves, rise to the

occasion? Yes, we can! Let's begin today, right now!

CHAPTER THREE

The Slave Trade And Colonization

Of Africa
The untrue and brutal myth that slavery and colonialism divided
Africa is circulated among Blackpeople and taught by Black
educators. Africa and Africans were already divided by brutal
tribal wars and indigenous slave practices before Western
colonialism took effect; essentially, this divisiveness presented
a fertile soil for colonialism, a human fault. And such
divisiveness stamped on our (human) consciousness is the root
cause for the wars and killings so rampant among Blackpeople
even to this day. These destructive behaviors cross race,
cultural, and ethnic barriers. Such observable continuous self-
destructive violence and decadence sometimes attempts to
prompt one to think the unthinkable; i.e., that over the many
centuries of human existence, could it be probable that [a]
degenerate consciousness of humans may have the capacity to
transcribe such a consciousness of degeneracy (like self-hate)
into the human genome (irrespective of ethnic and cultural
diversity)? Or, is it simply a matter of [the] level of evolution
of consciousness of the homo sapiens in time and space?

I am not presenting here a treatise on slave trade and colonization---I

am not qualified to do so—there are libraries replete with information on the

history of slave trade. I am interested in the pragmatic views of how and

why we are NOT getting anywhere as a people and culture throughout the

world. The stories of slavery are merely historical and teach of the past:

that’s what history is, a lesson or study of past events. Past events tell us

from where we've come and should help us create methods and strategies to

conquer environment to the end of gratifying our moral as well as our

natural/physical instincts responsibly. This is my view. Pragmatists dwell

in the “now” and project into the future outcome(s) of their activities. You,

too, are a pragmatist in one form or another!

The facts which are outstanding and still remain are these: (1) The

Whiteman needed laborers to work his land, and they needed so-called

“beats of burden” (like all slaves have done throughout history); so he (the

Whiteman), hearing of a slave trade somewhere in Africa, traveled to that

continent, the probable land of his origin (Africa) where they confirmed the

existence of some form of slave trade going on among the tribes and chiefs

of the land. So, (2) they conceptualized a scheme to “pay for—to buy”,

like a commodity, a fellow human being who the Whiteman viewed as

living a primitive life style (most likely based on the then existing behavior

and environmental conditions). However, (3) the irony of it all is that “his

fellow human beings” (i.e., the Blackpeople) were [willing] to sell and buy

into the scheme by trading their people in to prospective slave masters for

cheap commodities like a few heads of tobacco and pipes to smoke them

with, (walking) canes, and probably some jewelry precious to them at that

time. These items were accepted by our ancestors in trade for their

brothers and sisters who were being taken away to far away places where

there would be chances of seeing them no more. [The leaders of the tribes,

the chiefs and elders of the villages, were the economists of the Wall Street
of Slave Trade!] Those being sold as slaves by the chiefs were most

probably, those captured during tribal wars (i.e., prisoners of war or POWs).

Today, who ill-treats his own people in Africa? The Presidents and leaders

(like Samuel K. Doe, Charles Taylor, Mobutu, Daniel Arap Moi, Yoweri

Museveni, Chiluba, etc). Why? Because others say the Whiteman is the

cause. I say: hell no! It’s because the rulers/dictators themselves are

intrinsically evil (like Idi Amin--- the man who premeditatedly slaughtered

Blacks so easily and without remorse in modern times, than any White-ruled

(slave or non-slave) regime ever would contemplate) ! The fact remains that

there existed White slavery (which was then); now, it is explicit Black

Slavery (with Blacks enslaving Blacks). In fact, there was slave trade

practiced in significant parts of Africa before the White colonialist arrived.

Africans must admit this truth which we know as a fact in history, and stop

blaming the Whiteman as the sole perpetrator of this evil practice against

humanity. What is the name of that African country where slavery is

being practiced even in the year 2004?

It is very, very true that Black people have been enslaved and our

peoples colonized by White and Black supremacists; and, indeed, such

practices left the oppressed with the so-called slave mentality. This slave

mentality may be characterized by the following: (1) the enslaved is left with
a poverty of value system; (2) the inability to manifest potential inner

powers; and (3) a lack of the power and will to unite and fight, together,

against deleterious human and environmental elements to the end of raising

oneself above an unacceptable status quo. Slavery and colonialism did

not kill the “Spirit”, that seed of power possessed by every human

being, which enables him to excel and rule the elements toward a self-

directed destiny; this fact we must realize in order to be freed mentally

and freed in consciousness.

The point about slavery and colonization that I would make in this

chapter is this: those of us who use slavery as an excuse for the lack of unity

and trust among Blackpeople everywhere today, and as an excuse for the

cruelty of Blacks around the world against each other, are dead wrong. It is

held by some that Seneca, a Stoic, in a discussion once said, as of the fate of

the one who thinks he is enslaved: “The power to liberate oneself is within

ones own hands”. We will discuss this possibility later. What I perceive

and is evident is that the mentality of the White slave masters/traders was

that of [ignorance] and the egotistic desire to rule and control others (a

natural human inclination and fault). But the mentality of the Blacks at the

time was clearly with no concern for the well-being and safety of his brother

or sister; instead, it was geared toward self-gratification only; this very

behavior is still being practiced today as we speak. [This, too, is a mark of

human weakness and ignorance].

The difference between these two groups of people [the Black seller

and the White buyer/master] is that, although we shared human faults: in the

Blacks, we find evidence for the tendency to self-demolish and there is

proof of our inclination to destroy the very systems which would preserve

and maintain our well-being. To what end do we do this ? No one

knows, as it defies human reasoning and logic! Observe what goes on in

Africa and around the world where Black people are in charge. Why is this

so? Therefore, why should you fault and blame me (as I know most

African readers do) for this my analysis of the obvious, living fact? As this

book is principally and primarily geared toward analyzing the condition of

Blackpeople so as to help us begin to see ourselves in the truth of light, and

thence take appropriate action to correct our wrongs, it should be considered

praiseworthy, yet imperative, that we admit our faults and wrong doings

so that the Highest Spiritual powers may be willing to assist us out of

our woeful plight.

CHAPTER FOUR

How Africa Enslaves Her People

When the White man came to so-called “conquer” Africa,
he used the politically enchanted rulers and dictators of the
land.
The African dictatorship endorses colonial rule to its very core. What

is colonialism? Go read up on it. In what ways do African dictators

enslave their people? Just look around yourselves and see the practice

and its effect. Africa participated, currently participates, and may continue

to participate in exterminating the dream of Blackpeople in our struggle for

freedom from oppression and the powers which would keep colonialism

reigning supreme. What’s so interesting is that those who we may term

oppressors are essentially our sympathizers and empathizers in many ways,

if not in most. They are the very people who would save us when we are

economically and politically unable to lift ourselves from states of dejection

and depravity. But the African dictator would kill, out rightly and blatantly,

his own people and subject them to impoverishment. Take any United

Nations human rights literary accounts on Africa—there is virtually almost

no country on the entire continent of Africa which does not, or did not, have

“political prisoners”. Why call these people “political prisoners”? Who

in the world are they? They are those who vehemently oppose the

oppression of the weak by dictatorship regimes; so they are imprisoned and

tortured -- not by the “White man” -- but by their own leaders (with the

exception of the then White-ruled South Africa). Isn’t this a virtual

insanity beyond description?

Let’s look at the economic welfare of Africa. One does not have to

pull out the literature on the statistical analysis of the economy of Africa to

know that we, as a people, are impoverished and economically doomed. In

every African Country, the president and warlords live in (relative) wealth,

enjoying themselves to the utmost while their people suffer. In the Ivory

Coast (Cote de Voir), West Africa, for instance, one of the most expensive

edifices ever erected on earth was built by the late Felix Houphoet

Boigny, the then Ivorian president. If you were to go within a five mile,

or less, radius from the edifice (that glorious place of worship) you would

find people living without safe and clean running water, no balanced

meals, disease-stricken without the slightest hope for the least possible

medical care, etc. Yet the leader/dictator builds a worship place worth

millions while his people, the very needy people over whom he claims to be

president, suffer! As is practiced throughout Africa, [ a ] President would

claim that this is “his” money and he therefore has authority to use it in

whatever way he wishes. This is usually the American dollar on loan to

his country and government intended to improve that country.

When the so-called “Whiteman” comes in to apparently "conquer"

Africa, (during colonial days) he would use the presidents and politically

enchanted groups. The question I always had in my heart, mind, and soul is
this: Why is the Whiteman fighting so hard to subjugate the Blackman (if

that’s what he is truly doing at all)? And for whatever reasons he may be

doing it, [we] Blackpeople are helping them [our socalled White enemies]

to wipe us out! Why do we hate ourselves, then? Don’t get me wrong: Evil

Whitepeople, generally, are racist to the very core of their nature to the

point that while they are in the very act of a racist behavior, they deny

that they are being just that--racist; I know this because I have

experienced it first hand, and those who know me know my story. But

study this: whenever you, as a Black person, are being mistreated by Whites

within any institutional/organizational system, look around carefully for the

other Black who is the perpetrator and the traitor! If in your environment

you, a Black person, are dealing ONLY with Whites, they would try their

utmost best to be nice to you and would try not to act out their

subconscious, automatic racist behavior. [Why? Because they know that it

would be too obvious, and they are afraid of the Law.] But if there is another

Black person around, they would use that Black to destroy you. This is how

the Black person operates. It is a pity, isn’t it? It will always have to take us

to destroy us!

If you are Black and reading this book, take stock of your own life at

this very moment; i.e., how often are Blacks directly confronted by a White
supremacist in this day and age, even at the very beginning of the 21st

century? Even the Klu Klux Klan (KKK), how often do they out rightly

confront and mistreat Blacks these days? But look out there: how often is a

Black killed by another Black around the world on a daily basis? Is it a

Whiteman doing the shooting and killing in Sierra Leone, South East

Washington D.C., Chicago, Liberia, Nigeria, South Africa?

If you are White and reading this book, you must agree that White

prejudices have kept Blackpeople back for many a decade! Blackpeople

have become so hopelessly hopeless because the Black person’s psyche has

been dominated by the ideology that he [the Black person] is no good and is

useless; and this [this type of self-talk] exists because of the psychological

damage that slavery, colonialism, and the lack of identity may have created.

Because he is so programmed, his subconscious-self acts on this false

premise as a law , as a subconscious process. He then destroys himself

because he finds no value in living; this self-destructive act serves the

purpose of slavery and colonialism, and the hidden plan to wipe out

Blackpeople from the pages of constructive civilization and historicism. Do

you think Whitepeople are guiltless in this process? If you think so, think

it over. There is a heavy burden of karma hanging over the heads of White

supremacists who would have slavery and oppression continue. Karma is a

cosmic, living, spiritual law that is inviolable and must be compensated for

and balanced. Blackpeople who work with Whitepeople to carry out these

devious practices fall under the same Cosmic Law of Compensation, or

Karma.

In Liberia, one Mr. Bacus Matthews, an individual viewed as

notoriously politically enchanted, along with others, mobilized the masses

in order to take control with the aim, he claimed, to “free the poor” from the

clutches of poverty of the Tolbert regime of the late '70s and early '80s. And

he promised that under a change from such a regime (from the Black

supremacist leaders/dictators to the representatives of the “poor” – like Mr.

Samuel Doe and Mr. Oscar J. Quiah) the possibility for a realization of a

better future for all Liberians would be greater. These Liberian politicians

claimed that wages were meager, the people were not well fed, the health

care systems were poor – all these under the leadership of Mr. William

Tolbert and his predecessors. When Samuel Doe seized power, as supporter

of the Bacus Mathews ideological scheme and maneuvers, he promised he

would wipe out suffering and poverty. To the contrary, Samuel Doe is

known by many to have been probably the youngest African dictator of our

time; he was committed to hard-line atrocities in a manner second to none

except (probably) Idi Amin of Uganda. Samuel Kanyon Doe of Liberia,

West Africa, was a wicked, demonic, and hellish ruler/dictator who

caused innocent human beings to be put to death, buried children and

adults alive in trenches dug in sand beaches of the Atlantic Ocean (some

just behind the executive Mansion in Monrovia). (I lived in Monrovia at

the time and had knowledge of certain private information; that’s how I

know.) This wicked Samuel Doe, killed the son of Mr. William Tolbert, Abe

Tolbert, a very, very nice young Liberian leader who did so much for poor

Liberians than Samuel K. Doe could ever imagine in a life time! My heart

aches for the death of young Abe Tolbert; he has no blood relationship to

me, but he stood for good principles, and demonstrated them. The manner

in which he was killed by Samuel K. Doe cannot be narrated in this

manuscript, it was gruesome, to say the least. Certainly, may the soul of

"Abe Tolbert" rest in peace!

The so-called "White" colonialists who we blame today, NEVER did

those things to our people; but even if they did, it may be rightly justified in

that they were our enemies, and one expects enemies to destroy. But the

greatest economic, social, military, and other institutionalized atrocities

ever to be executed in the world against Blacks have always been in

Africa and at the hands of Africans [Blacks] ourselves. Is this true or

false? Check it out! Honestly do.

Africa, indeed, enslaves her people flagrantly and unpretentiously and

the results bespeak for themselves. The leaders of Africa endorse the

principles of colonization to its very core. A certain once-upon-a-time

acquaintance of mine from Africa, a very brilliant scientist, once commented

on what he terms evidences of the CIA’s infiltration of his country, and

every other African country. Therefore, he claimed, it is the United States

which perpetrates these destabilizing maneuvers and cause “our” people to

suffer. He offered what he termed documented claims of the late president

Mobutu’s ties with the CIA and went as far as saying that Mobutu was

himself a CIA agent. This is quite an interesting piece of information, or

allegation! Why should the president of any nation be employed by the

CIA to destroy his (own) people? It beats me! And if the information

were even true, it speaks for itself—that African leaders are active

participating destroyers of their people and nations, and should stop

blaming Whitepeople for such a behavior.

What is speculate is that the disruption of countries around the world

by the CIA, if this did or does occur, as I have no evidence to corroborate

such a behavior, such an activity was not aimed at destroying the cultures

and the people of Africa; it could simply have been a “tactic of the cold

war”. The truth and bottom line is this: I am not interested in CIA
maneuvers around the world. My concern is that some human beings are

using their God-given powers of mind for creative purposes, while another

[idle] group just sits around and blames others for its own dejection and

plightful circumstances (most of which are self-created due to misuse,

disuse, or a lack of use of the victim’s personal, God-given potentialities).

CHAPTER FIVE

DESTRUCTION BY BLACK DICTATORS

(The Anarchy Of Hedonistic Dictators)

All African leaders are dictators by every sense of the word. From

East to West, North to South—Black dictatorships reign with the exception

of the then South Africa where former White supremacist groups ruled.

African Presidents/dictators impose themselves and their ideologies on their

people. The masses live in abject, wretched, despicable fear, while the

African ruler enjoys the wealth (including women, land, gold, silver, etc.)

exclusively by the power of his military might. The dictator plays on the

“fear instinct” of his subordinates and threatens to kill if any opposition

arises. If any one opposes me he will be “food for crocodiles” was one of

the threats of an African leader to his people (this was published in the

Washington Post sometime in mid-1990s). If this leader were building

roads, constructing clinics, investing in agricultural ventures, encouraging

higher learning and education by building schools and universities, and

thereby attracts opposition, then the threats to his opposers as to be “food for

crocodiles” would, from a reasonable perspective, probably be sane. Truly,

and surely, you can bet on your bottom dollar, those opposed to his

dictatorship scheme were killed and/or imprisoned "Food for croccodiles".

When one sets out to satisfy every desire, subjective and otherwise, no

matter what it is, without regard for any moral sense of values this, to me, is

hedonism. A former student of Socrates, Aristippus, was quoted as saying

that the purpose for living is to “have pleasure”. He went on to expound that

the value or essence of being or existing is to enjoy—enjoyment to the

maximum is the end of life, the meaning of living, he said.

Another of the philosophers stated, and believed, that “pleasure” as

such was not the end of life (not the purpose for living) as others think; he

claimed that the experiencing of one pleasure leads to the desire to satisfy

another instinctual desire, and on and on continually. This, he claims, and I

agree, is painful and leads to no real pleasure. It, in actuality, leads to a

life of bestial sensualism (hedonism). Epicurus, another of the philosophers,

added that man’s life should be that of freedom from pain (aponia) and the

stillness of the soul (ataraxia). My view is that if there should be a stillness

of the soul, it certainly CANNOT be realized by the unlimited,

uncontrolled, unrestricted satisfaction of human bodily desires (i.e., by

“radical hedonism”).

The past nearly eight or more decades have marked a period of radical

hedonism in the African leadership. There is no concern for the poor, the

concept of a strong national economic system is a delusion, and an illusion,

to the minds of our African rulers/dictators. The most appealing to the

leadership of Africa is a gain of personal, selfish wealth, self-centered

egotistic enjoyment with no regards for a progressive and successful national

consciousness. This is destruction on [a] largest scale!

A former Instructor of mine, a brilliant physician from Nigeria (I call

him Dr. Andrew, to protect his identity) told his students factual stories of

how in Nigeria there were wealthy businessmen during the so-called

“Nigeria oil era”, who would charter jets for trips to London for breakfast

and to the Netherlands for lunch or dinner, and sometimes fly right back to

Nigeria the very same day. That's how rotten rich these guys were! The

essence of Dr. Andrew’s observation is this: these people had so much

money that they could do anything they wished, without any moral, societal,

or self-imposed restrictions. With all this wealth, the hospitals in Nigeria

had no facilities to adequately care for the sick, the rulers would not
adequately feed their needy, poor people; the national economy and

infrastructure were inevitably collapsing. As a matter of fact, wars, coups

and counter coups were prevalent in Nigeria in the seventies and early

eighties. Rather building the country, warlords concentrated on

exterminating each other. Individual members of government were

figuratively “rotten rich” while the masses were sinking in a quagmire of

poverty and hopelessness.

These are the types of behavior which fits [a] definition of hedonism,

and which have characterized the qualities of Black leaders, [African

Heads of State] and Black-run institutions all around the world. Black

dictators destroying their people. Yes, you read it right! In the mind of an

objective thinker, one cannot see any excuse for this brutal treatment of

one's own people----- [oneself] from generation to generation and from

decade to decade. What’s even more alarming and frustrating is that we

cannot come up with solutions! In most recent times, the Sudanese have

called on the United States to help stop the genocide in that African nation!

Calling on the West which is supposedly "enemy" of Blackpeople?

CHAPTER SIX

Why Blacks May Continue To Fail

“We hold the images of the world with our attention…If I
don’t focus attention on the world, the world collapses.”

---La Gorda

The PCR ideology is the focus of the African leadership….that is why

it is a virtual dictatorship.

Pylord P. Doe

"Don' get mad, don't get even; get ahead."

Chris Matthews
(In: Hardball, Nov 2, 1999)
I believe that what one focuses his attention on, given time,

materializes. The Black mentality is basically that of corrupt

egotistic POWER, violent CONTROL, and destructive REVENGE;

this I term the PCR Principle. [Scientists, this is NOT the Polymerase

Chain Reaction......smile!] The PCR Principle is the outward

manifestation of tyranny. What divides White and Blacks in America,

or in any racially mixed society, is NOT the racial supremacy which

appears to exist; but is the divisiveness among us Blacks, which take

the form of tyranny and power greed. The PCR ideology is the focus

of the African leadership and trend of governing, that is why it is a

virtual dictatorship. Therefore, in Africa, and wheresoever Blacks

are, that which materializes is the negative effects of the principle in

operation; i.e., use your POWER to destroy whosoever or whatsoever

that is in disagreement with your principle(s), by violence CONTROL

the masses, REVENGE against the other clansmen by destroying

them and their property. As you can see, the result is utter FAILURE!

This failure may continue if the cycle is NOT broken by well-meaning

men and women, Blacks and/or Whites. Is it not obviously true that

it had to take the Whites to stop the Somalians from killing each other,

and ultimately providing the victims of that senseless war with food
and relief? Ninety-nine percent of relief for Ruwanda was provided

by the West. True or False? Who crushed the vicious venomous

head of the Haitian viper-Dictator, Mr. Cedras? Whitepeople or

Blackpeople? (Of course, Whitepeople, because only they

demonstrate the [will] to do so.)

By power, I refer to its negative connotation---to egoistically flaunt

superiority by destroying another or by showing that others can be

subjugated by whatever means, with no intentions of the one in control to

build up or construct.

To CONTROL is to hinder the free expression of another’s potential

to manifest his abilities (especially those creative ideas and potentialities in

the realm of the expression of truth, those tenets which liberate man from the

negativities of life). The final outcome of control is disaster and destruction.

If the natural course of a force is hindered from flowing through its intended

path(s), it builds up an inherent momentum, which seeks ways of expression.

It explodes and destroys!! So is the effect of any atomic bomb, or the water

which has been dammed (i.e., restricting its natural course of flow). That is

why whenever the principle of CONTROL is operational, destruction

emerges via violence. All the time!

REVENGE: This is the lack of a forgiving heart, which causes one to

destroy! The principle operating in revenge is, “destroy or be destroyed”;

therefore, hurt another person since another hurts you (or is capable of

hurting you). In revenge, there is no room for discussion or dialogue – a

way to understanding the roots of the initial problems. Blacks hurt each

other in revenge for hurt(s) they received from others. In Africa, one ethnic

group maliciously attacks another group and the attacked group turns around

and attacks back, perpetuating the vicious cycle. The end? No one wins, but

chaos and anarchy reigns supreme! What a viciously vicious cycle!! In

revenge, positive energies are converted into negative channels and hence

become negative energies---negative in that the end result is no constructive

building-up.

In Liberia, West Africa, the civil war erupted because the aborigines

were ill-treated by the ruling Black class which comprised of free slaves

who ruled by the iron hand. If you were a native-born from the bush or the

so-called “up-country” in Liberia, like me (Pylord) a peasant boy, nine-

times-out-of-ten you could not win scholarships except in extraordinary

cases in which some elite found favor with you. The wealth was centralized

and the poor became poorer while the rich became richer(this is Africa, in a

country ruled by a Black leader/dictator). This was Blacks treating Blacks,

like the Whites treat Blacks during slavery. So the natives decided to stage a
coup against the then ruling party and class. Revenge! (Probably

circumstantially appropriate.) The entire ruling class was nearly

exterminated, the then leaders were executed by firing squad. Study this

example and compare it to what goes on everywhere in Africa or in

Blackland with Black leadership. You will find, pandemic, the PCR

Principle and how it causes the failure of Blackpeople worldwide. From

several perspectives, and my readers have all rights to accept or reject it, the

basic principle in place in Blackland and which may be responsible for how

and why Africa failed, and may continue to do so, is the PCR mentality (i.e.,

Power, Control, Revenge).

This destructive attitude and barbaric working principle may be

reversed and Africa freed from the decadent behavior of her

leaders/dictators. The first principle to adopt is to admit that we have been

the origin of all this, that we have perpetuated the evils against us, and

that we ourselves must find a way out of our plight (BECAUSE we

undoubted have the ability to do so). A certain cosmic law is fulfilled when

one admits the wrong(s) he has done and decides to turn on a new leaf:

behold, “old things are passed away and all things become new.” We

become freed from our sin (the only true sin, which is IGNORANCE). This

will help us gain from the wisdom in the saying, "Don' get mad, don't get
even; get ahead."

PART II

THE BLAME
Chapter Seven
THE BLACKMAN’S PLIGHT HAS BECOME
THE WHITEMAN’S BLAME

“If you can blame the "White" [buyer],

why not blame the "Black" [seller] also?”

Rev. James D. Doe

(The Author’s Father)
Could not I have chosen a better day to formulate concepts for this

chapter than today, the 21st of August, 1992? One of the most controversial

discussions on the topic of racism and colonial rule in third world countries

was held by a young Americo-African college student, a middle-age

Ethiopian male, and myself (the author). The fateful discussion was held at,

place of all places, the Union Station Buck County Coffee shop in

Washington, D.C. where I frequently went at my leisure to gather facts for

this book.

It all began when this young student initiated a discussion with the

Ethiopian on matters relating to the FIRST President Bushes acceptance

speech at the Republican Convention in Texas. As they discussed, I, being

a non-participant initially, was irresistibly compelled to respond to what the

young Afro-American termed “the comparative backwardness of the U.S.A.

is at par with that of the so-called third world countries”. At this point my

complacency ended and I interrupted without apology! Frankly, I became

emotionally stirred when I heard the young man say, in quite apparent

ignorance, that in essence, the lack of development in “third world

countries” was similar (or probably analogous, for a better word) to that of

the United States. He named some aspects which he claimed to be

analogous: “poverty, High School drop-out rates, death rates from lack of

better health care systems, the incidence and prevalence of street crimes and

murders, and the illiteracy rate”). The items on his list kept increasing in

number, and I would have had no opportunity to speak had I not stopped

him, practically against his will. Comparing “third world countries” in

Africa developmentally to developed countries like the United States of

America is, objectively, a socio-intellectual delusion based on sheer

ignorance and bitterness. Why? Because the operational dynamics and

principles in developed countries and those of third-world Africa are

different. When I probed him further as to why Africa is so poor and

undeveloped, you probably guessed his response---“colonialism and the

White man racist policies”. He expressed so much venomous energy and

bitterness that his sense of reasoning and logic seemed impaired! It is

usually amazing to see educated, or at least literate, Blackpeople blame

Whitepeople for the confusion, backwardness, and the lack of economic

success, as well as the wars in Africa; this type of reasoning and blaming is

used as an excuse by so-called educated Blackpeople for the failures of

Blacks throughout the world. The claim is that due to the White man’s
colonialism and racist/prejudicial policies on the African continent, its

people are killing each other. I disagree. Why? I will give a few examples

and you figure out the rest for yourselves. (a) Samuel K. Doe, the late

dictator of Liberia, overthrew the Tolbert’s government and made himself

president. The purposes for the overthrow were summed up in what they

termed criminal charges which included: “rampant corruption and misuse of

public offices….” Yah! But Samuel K. Doe’s regime was that of a blatant

violation of human rights, killing of innocent citizens, exterminating his

fellow military men who staged the coup de’tat with him (identical to the

reported behavior of deposed dictactor Sadam Husein, hung by his

countrymen in retaliation). The killing of his colleagues was blamed on the

fact that his associates threatened to take his (Mr. Doe’s) life. The brutal

murderer was afraid to die! Isn’t that quite interesting? This is a man who

demonstrated carelessness about the health care of the people of his country,

a man who showed disregard for authentic literacy policies for the country’s

youth, flagrantly abused the economy of his country, etc. He was even

known to order the burying alive of children whose parents he had ordered

killed, as he was advised that the posterity of these children would retaliate

in future generations. A long list of accounts are known of this once ruthless

dictator, perhaps the youngest brutal dictator in [a] recent history of

Africa. Can anyone justify such brutality and inhumane acts as being

perpetrated by White influence? How? Did the Whiteman create and

propagated the ethnic hatred and self-destruction in Liberia and other

African countries? No!!! Very clearly not. Our people are almost always

destroyed by their own.

While the poor lacked satisfactory and sustenable health care, Mr.

Samuel Doe would take health trips to developed countries for medical

check-ups and treatment at the expense of the poor taxpayers. To the

contrary, Western countries write into law policies which govern the

administration of health care to the citizens. If the behavior of those we

blame as causes for our backwardness is different from that of Blacks as

light is from day, how can we justify our beliefs that we are the way we are

because of them? Most importantly, the West (with the United States of

America being the prime example) has historically been the most significant

supplier of financial and other principal resources to African countries); but

we have not been able to provide examplirary leadership as custodians for

the African people. Afrcian leaders are technical "theives", robbing their

poor citizens of the right to live empowered lives. So, how could this Afro-

American justify his allegations of observations as to failures in America

being "at par with" poor African countries? There is a different dynamics at
operation in Africa as opposed to the United States or any Western country.

In America, for instance, young men and women have Federal grants

available to pay for their education; but many do not take advantage of this

resource unlike African countries where, although developed countries

support Africa, the money is pocketed for the dictator's personal use. Who

does not know the story?

Take any account on human rights report by Amnesty International,

you will find that over 90 percent of all African countries violate human

rights and retain so-called “political prisoners”. Who in the world are

“political prisoners” in their own country? These are usually individuals

who are imprisoned by their own terrorist rulers/dictators for speaking out

against evils practiced against the underprivileged and the country as a

whole. Now, what White influence is responsible for the behavior which

enables the African ruler to mistreat the citizen of his land as if the behavior

were written into law? No such practice is sanctioned in the United States of

America. Do you see what happened in the United States in 2009 when it

was revealed that business executives and CEOs were receiving millions of

dollars in bonuses and perks while the taxpayer was sinking in economic

disaster and losing jobs and homes to the amazement of the world? The

country turned completely outraged and the citizens spoke out individually
and conglumerately on such fraudulent behavior by the already wealthy!

This is what makes America different, my friends. God bless America! This

is why, I believe my dad told me that their is no country like America, and

I've found it to be true for myself! [ To the contrary, are you aware that I

won't dare write and/or publish this book in Africa without being persecuted

for speaking out. I would be arrested on criminal charges and imprisoned.]

Here is [one] explanation on the underdevelopment of Africa and why

it is so: The basic cause is that we have people occupy positions without

having their country at heart; this coupled with material greed, egotism,

and power-thirst. In addition, there is no aim to lead for the purpose of a

common good of the land, or its people now and for posterity.

It all began many centuries ago when the tribal kings ruled by the iron

hand. Their decisions were final; all opposers were brutally killed, they and

their relatives, in the name of disobedience to the rule of order of the land.

Then the Whiteman came into the scene, primarily to take advantage of the

ignorance of these dark-skinned people who hated and brutalized their

own. In Europe and the developing Americas, man power was an absolute

necessity for the building of national security and meeting agricultural and

infrastructural demands. What the human mind was capable of manifesting,

“beast of burden” were needed as energy source. The Whiteman saw in the
eyes of his Black human companions the lack of ingenuity, or at least the

absence of the application of the powers of their mind for self advancement;

we, during those days, most probably were contented with sustaining

ourselves by fishing and wild life hunting, and a life of sheer barbarity,

dominated by wars and warlords in the underdeveloped deep forests and

jungles of Africa. I am not trying to put Africa down or anything, it’s just

simply the plain truth.

We must be clear in our minds that Whitepeople also lived barbaric

lives. But they seemed to have advanced, over some period of time, in most

areas of human existence and development, beyond that of Blackpeople;

probably I am wrong, but we must explain why we [Blackpeople] are far

behind today in the game of life. Look at us [Blacks] today; look at Africa

our predominant home on earth. What caused the other race to move ahead

while we go backward as time progresses? Please don’t ask me why---but

isn’t this evident in our world today? Is not the seat of technological and

economic power, growth and advancement, within the geographical regions

where the Whiteman lives, and from where he rules the rest of the world? It

is a fact, and no Black or White person should be angry at me because I

make the obvious stand out in testimonial of the truth. Generally, people

know these things but are afraid to talk about them to avoid opposing
public sentiments.

So, to continue the discussion, the Whiteman probably envisioned to

build homes probably of stones/bricks, build roads, and develop better

agricultural methods, as opposed to the backward life style of his Black

human counterpart; the Whiteman thought to use the Blackman who is

stronger and more powerful in an overwhelmingly large number of ways, to

do these things for him. It is quite strange to see that Blackpeople could

not use their power to channel the energy to better themselves. He

(Whiteman) proposed to the rulers/kings of Blackpeople to trade his men

in for some items of wealth and prestige of those days (i.e., tobacco, clothes,

walking cane, knives and probably spears used to hunt wildlife and conquer

enemies at war [providing POWs] to be sold later into slavery ). The slave

saga became a vicious cycle. The Whiteman involved in the slave trade

must have been superior at that time, or just simply damn smarter and

cleverer, since he could conceive of these things to better himself. It appears

that he was in control then, as he is today. What is even more pitiful is

that he [the Whiteman] appears to have control over our environment

and also [our minds]; if we were liberated mentally, no outer chains

could limit us from achieving whatsoever we envision. My theory here is

in serious conflict with other published accounts of the Black plight. But my
question is this: If we were superior and commanded an advanced

civilization, which it is being supposed to have been stolen by Whitepeople,

why and how did we fall to such a lowly and pitiful estate? Rome at one

time also ruled the civilized world; but are the Romans destroying

themselves today as we are? I am puzzled.

You see, the under-development of Africa and Blackpeople, as we

know it in modern times, most probably began before the time of the slave

trade. The practice of slavery at that time, as it is today in its mental form,

is an active interaction between Blacks and Whites, with Blacks betraying

their people at the very core of this self-perpetuating institution of

backwardness and degradation. Even in Africa today, where we see various

forms of coup d’etat, the prime motives, in an objective view, is greed---as

none of those who seize power demonstrates, in the long run, the slightest

evidence of leadership. They, "nine times out of ten", neither care about the

needs of the poor, nor for building their respective nation(s) for the benefit

of posterity. Look at Africa now, and you will see what I mean. Look at the

recent virtual insanity of President Mugabe who, with his people dying of

cholera epidemic, says that the cholera was brought into his country by the

West! contrarily, here in the United States, if a single person dies of any

food poisoning (nobody even has to die---somebody only has to be sick from
a known food-related cause, that's all), the entire country is alarmed and

foods are pulled off the shelves in stores across the country!

There is a parable in my tribe that goes like this: “When two elephants

fight, only the grass [that is trampled during the fight] suffers”. That is to

say, it is usually the innocent bystanders, the uninvolved and politically

unambitious, the needy peasants (e.g., it is these people—the "figurative

grass"), that suffer the most in those civil wars and coups. Do these

warlords care? The scenario becomes coups and counter coups as was

frequent in Nigeria in the 70’s, and in Liberia in the late 80’s and early 90’s.

Greed drives power-thirsties to further greed, which ultimately destroys

citizens, their dreams, and purpose for living. Very obviously Africa learns

nothing constructive from these events and, from one African leader to the

next, the events repeat themselves resulting in backwardness and regression

of the continent and her people economically and in many other ways (but

principally, economically).

All of these incongruities of the Black way of life are thought to be

the result of the White man’s colonialism (!). Colonization of Africa

occurred when man’s consciousness could NOT see the harm—so both

types of people (Blackpeople and Whitepeople) actively participated in

destroying “the Black thing” [ i.e., our pride, worthiness, creativity, power of
self-governance, etc., etc.]. We have refused to accept the truth that we

actively took part then, as we do today, in destroying ourselves and so we

pass the blame. The Blackpeople who are still unable to channel their

powers for self development are overwhelmed with frustration and resort to

self-destructive behavior. To me, the slave trade was a two-way thing—

we [Blacks] sold and they [Whites] bought! If you have the guts to blame

the buyer, why NOT blame the seller also? The Blackman’s Plight has

been made the Whiteman’s Blame !

CHAPTER EIGHT
It is Mental Slavery --- But Do You Blame Them?

Look around yourself and see Black deterioration and hopelessness.

Just think of a place where, anywhere, Blacks are on the globe, there is

bitterness, self-destruction, violence, and self-defeat. We do not seem to get

anywhere. It’s Black-on-Black crime and destruction. We enslave

ourselves physically because we are enslaved mentally; besides, we are

generally spiritually unenlightened. Not because one attends Church

services or preaches sermons weekly is such an one “enlightened”

spiritually. Being religious does NOT mean enlightenment.

In my experience, almost every time one asks another Black person as

to the causes for [our] self-destruction, it’s usually said that it’s due to the

Whiteman—he’s the one who puts the blocks in our way. That [is] true in

many, many instances. But what would one expect of the other who would

have another enslaved in order to maintain power? This is exactly what

Black leaders/dictators do ; the exact same thing White supremacist do,

nothing different. Even Whites do it to each other, also. This has got

nothing to do with slavery and colonialism in the Black/White context as we

know it. There were Black slave masters as well, having bought both

White and Black slaves. I believe that those in power at any single time in

history, whether they be White or Black, wish to remain in power and hence

are afraid that they would lose control. Therefore, they institute principles

which subjugate the less fortunate and the weak. It’s quite strange to

blame another for one’s own weaknesses, you know. I believe that the

White race (Whitepeople) are NOT acting out of hate, as such, against the

Black race and people; they [Whitepeople] are acting out of fear, literally

afraid of Blackpeople and I think that they’ve got some darn good reasons

for being afraid. If we, Blackpeople, have the audacity, courage, and power
to destroy each other as we do worldwide, what do you think we would do to

them [the Whitepeople who we have classified as enemies]? We, as a

people, do NOT hesitate to revenge; this is characteristic of every human

being. But most people of African ancestry use the act of revenge so

adversely that we would NOT hesitate to destroy our institutions and all the

things which would be to our advantage. As a factual proof to yourself, look

at Liberia, West Africa and the aftermath of the civil war which ruined

everything that was built for the past over one hundred years prior to that

senseless war; the country was destroyed out of revengeful hate by the

descendants of the native tribes against the freed slaves who settled in

Liberia, and ruthlessly ruled with a monopoly of power and wealth.

But the actual root of our self-destruction stems from frustration on

the one hand, and the slave mentality on the other. We become frustrated

because we don’t seem to have solutions to our major problems which are,

principally, economic in nature. So our youths sell drugs (they claim) as the

only possible means of livelihood, and to buy luxurious things of which we

[Blacks] believe to be deprived. Yet, the most powerful tool which works

against Blacks is [the] slave mentality. The slave feels incompetent,

worthless and dependent. The slave is NOT aware of his potential—he is

misdirected—he looks for solutions elsewhere, outside the realm of his

potential for creativity and power. The slave says something like this to

himself: “I am not in control, my human, physical masters have got the final

word, he’s the chief and he is in charge. I must do whatsoever he says; I

must please him and do whatever it takes to win his favor in order to obtain

my livelihood despite my personal inner convictions. Actually, there is no

way out of these my troubles.” Observe: this is a mental process, an auto-

suggestion which paralyzes and destroys through subconscious

psychological, as well as spiritual, processes.

The mentally enslaved cannot, and does NOT, see solutions; he is

blind to possible solutions. He lives in, and by, the self-created

imaginations of darkness and gloom about his problems. He’s like a blind

man who sees only darkness; “wheresoever a blind man looks, he sees

nothing”. He is preoccupied with the idea that his oppressor is wicked and

is causing his downfall. (This could be very, very true—because this very

behavior, which comprises the racist acts of Blackpeople and Whitepeople,

does exist.) It is true that oppressors are [evil beings], this we cannot deny;

but evil and falsehood ultimately lose power while goodness and truth

inevitably ultimately win. Where is communism today? Where is Mr.

Adolph Hitler? Samuel Doe (that brutal murderer) of Liberia, what

happened to him? But look: After what happened to the apartheid system of
government in South Africa, what happened to Mr. Nelson Mandela of

South Africa ? He became President of a nation he so loved and for which

he gave his life through imprisonment for a quarter of a century!

However, to be captivated, controlled, and ruled by evil from decade

to decade, and from generation to generation, as is obvious with Blackpeople

all over the world, must mean something else. Further, all the enslaved

does is to take stock of his enemy’s activities and tactics but does

NOTHING to prevent himself from being victimized or to free himself

from the ill-effects of adverse conditions created by hateful beings. On

the other hand, the enslaved participates in the acts of his own destruction.

He wishes and hopes that he would be delivered. Delivered by whom? Only

the idle (mental) slave knows! Or, does he really know?

So there you have it. The conditions set by previous enslavement and

colonial rule have established a certain mind-set within us to which we cling

as a class of people. We need to see this and break away from it. It is

mental slavery, but do you blame them? No, I don’t! Why? Because I

believe, and every other Black person should believe, that we have in our

hands the powers to free ourselves ; the masters/dictators, whether Blacks or

Whites, know this also and this scares the (dickens) daylight out of them.

The very serious question is this: Who do you think is to blame if we

find ourselves trapped in a cobweb of our own destructive ideologies, from

time to time, after over two hundred years following the abolition of the

slave trade in America? There are no longer physical slaves in the U.S.A.

and other developed countries; instead, we are mental slaves, trapped in our

delusions and mental processes as to who is ultimately in charge of our lives

and destiny after the emancipation of slaves since the 1700s. This is a

reality check! My friend, I will make the following very hard statement, I

believe in it strongly and it’s your choice to accept or reject it. This is the

statement: The White slave masters of all time knew how to liberate you

and me from physical chains of bondage, but they do NOT know how,

nor do they have the power to, free mental slaves. I am of the opinion

that today, the evolved Whites [like the William Jefferson Clintons, the Al

Gores, the Joseph Libermans, the J. F. Kennedys, the Abraham Lincolns, the

Bill Cosbys, Opra Winfreys, the Barack Obamas and men and women like

them everywhere] have no concern about executing slave trades—they

beleieve in an active principle, viz: let humankind liberate itself by the

powers of mind, choice, and will. There are [White mental slaves] too, as

there are Black ones, who are of a vast number; look around yourself (begin

in Nigeria or Sundan) and you will see the contrast as vivid and real as you

breathe O2 nearly every other second. And you might be surprised to note
that despite there being White mental slaves based on the same principle,

they that cry “racism” most of the time, and result to violence against

themselves, are almost always the Black mental slaves. What is

responsible for this? I don’t know. (Do you know?) But it is most probably

spiritual; by “spiritual”, I don’t refer to that bogus (circular) Christian

ideology of “hell or heaven” and the fanatic, hypocritical “Jesus Christism”

of our current (Christian) religious dogma; this pertinent topic (on

spirituality) is being discussed in a later chapter.

If you ever worked with Whitepeople closely, you will realize that

they practice “dirt” and cruelty toward each other; but when they take it out

against a Black and treat us dirty, we cry out “ racism! RACISM!” .

(Believe thou me, in most cases it is racism.) But we use this as an excuse

and a defense mechanism, in most instances, to pacify ourselves for not

getting what we believe we deserve in the system. I have seen White-on-

White cruelty to the extent to cause any understanding person to cry, literally

shed tears as I often do; what this teaches me is that the human being can

choose to be peaceful or to create war. It’s our choice.

I decided to follow Black organizations in America in order to see

how they would handle issues and problems confronting Blackpeople. To

my surprise, I see the same ineffectual strategies practiced in Africa being an

integral part of the Black organizations and communities here in America.

At a certain meeting I attended, a meeting of the National Institutes of

Health Chapter of Blacks In Government, the President at the time (whose

name I will omit), passed out leaflets describing Blacks in a negative way. I

could not believe what I read. We were being described as robbers, thieves,

uneducated, and “wineos” (alcoholics) by a White documentary. I was

terribly hurt, but then I burst out laughing at the strategy which the

supremacist group (comprised of both Whites and Blacks at that time) were

using against us. My other Black brothers and sisters were outraged! In

their minds, they could not see why I was laughing. They displayed anger,

bitterness and hate; one could almost literally cut through the poisonous

vibrations all around us. I laughed at the mind game that the opponents

were playing. It’s a mind game—that’s exact what it is. They, meaning the

supposed adversary, give us a piece of information to deal with, or a

problem to solve; they expect us to get angry, frustrated, and outraged. So

we become outraged and hateful (exactly what they wanted), we become

consumed in our anger and bitterness to the point that we lose our reasoning

capacity and the ability to use our (well possessed) problem-solving

faculties. The irony of our reaction to these types of mental

manipulations is that we end up directing our violence toward

ourselves! The anger about the derogatory remarks in this meeting was

carried over to an incident which erupted during the (same) meeting,

involving what was termed the inappropriateness of the Chapter’s

president’s handling of matters relating to an award nominee. This caused

a verbal fight. Being a guest, I kept my mouth shut, and simply observed!

We did NOT formulate a solution on how to deal with the problem of the

written “psychological abuse” in that document mentioned above that was

coined by White and Black perpetrators; but, instead, we began fighting

about who should, and didn’t, get nominated for a “ position”. Do you see

what I mean?

This is one objective analysis: We prove over and over again, to be

unable to realize our abilities to formulate solutions to our problems; we

fight each other and pass the blame on slavery and the White man. If this is

true, then [we] posterity must be responsible for the action of our

ancestors! Our ancestors sold us into slavery!

With this blaming attitude, we find ourselves trapped; thus it becomes

a vicious cycle where we are caught in what appears to be a “Dante’s

Inferno”—a literal “hell” on earth. But, are we physical slaves? No. Not by

any means! Mental slaves? Yep, indeed! Who is to blame? Guess who?

Ourselves [Blackpeople]!!
PART III

THE HOPE
CHAPTER NINE
THERE IS HOPE

Thus the hope of Africa, yea the hope of the world, lies
in the capacity of leaders [those given the responsibility
to direct the affairs of nations] to apply their creative
powers…

---- Pylord P. Doe

“Without vision the people perish”.

I wish to begin this chapter by saying that it probably would have

been better to have this as at the beginning; but in order to clearly

emphasize where we stand, the current order of presentation, I presume, is

in our best interest. Religion, especially exoteric Christianity as it is known

today, on the one hand preaches about the wrong doing of human beings but,

on the other hand, gives no truly authentic solution to the day-by-day

problems of humanity. Man [the human being] needs more than mere

abstract religious philosophy which have shown over the past centuries to

give NO practical solutions to the consequences of man's fallen nature; the

very things religious preachers claim cause human sorrows, they [the

preachers] find themselves doing on a daily basis. Humanity needs an

authentic, practical solution, a method, whereby to liberate iself from his

woeful state.

There is definitely a reason why humanity is the way it is today, in

the words of a friend I met recently: “this is a dog-eat-dog world we live in,

Pylord.” Circular Christian beliefs claim that there are those who will go to

a place in the skies called “heaven”; it claims that by keeping certain rules,

heaven is secured in favor of the keeper of those rules while violators shall

perish in another mythical place called “hell”, a place somewhere and some

time in the future. The irony of it all is that those who preach these

“sermons” of condemnation themselves are, most often than not, caught in

the very act of the violations they claim would be punishable by “hell fire”.

As centuries come and go, the human being becomes progressively

“spiritually” ignorant and plunges into deeper and deeper confusion and a
false way of living. If the teachings of current circular Christianity were

the ABSOLUTE truths, then they would have worked. But something is

wrong somewhere, quite certainly obviously. Therefore, the story of

man's redemption must be retold, in such a way that humankind would find a

way out of his hopelessness and plightful degeneracy. The true story was

told by Jesus centuries ago; but the authentic method for achieving salvation

has been distorted by religious zealots, bigots, and fanatics to the point that a

caricature, a misrepresentation, of the truth now prevails and proves to be

worthless in effecting the changes in consciousness as was intended by Jesus

and other Messengers of Light.

Now this: The (true) reasons why the West controls and leads the

world today have got nothing to do with slavery, race, hatred, jealousy, and

all other human weaknesses we may conjure to soothe our hurt, bathe our

wounds, and console ourselves. All human beings are POWERFUL

because we have the (intrinsic) ability and potential to cause to materialize

whatever we may wish to have, given time. But we (Blackpeople) do not

generally constructively apply this our God-given spiritual resource and so

our plight appears hopelessly hopeless, our dreams become unfulfilled, our

hopes become flights of fancy, our will weakened even unto death, our

powers impotent and ineffectual, and our Spirit seeks but finds no avenue
(no grounds) wherein, or whereupon, to operate. In essence, we have no

vision, and hence we perish as a people along life’s thoroughfare! We

perish in our minds (the ways we think) and our bodies (our Holy House of

Flesh and Blood); but we are NOT dead “spiritually”.

Our Spirit is alive, very well alive! We are NOT dead, and CANNOT

die (Spirit Beings don’t die, Their physical bodies may suffer and

disintegrate, but the essence of which [we] are composed, the Divine Spark

within the body, lives on throughout eternity). [This is the Gospel of Truth,

knowledge of which, leads to the realization of Eternal Life.] The

consciousness of a Spirit-being within a physical body constitutes a “living

soul” which contains the Spark of the Omnipotent One whose power creates

the world of manifestations and enlivens human beings (the Spirit Beings

that we are); thus enabling humankind to “rise up to occasions” of life’s

challenges. This source of Divine Power constitutes the HOPE of mankind,

the HOPE of all races and people of all walks of life. And since all and

every human being is potentially a Divine Child of God, THERE IS HOPE;

hope that we can and shall be freed from the effects of the “Forest of

Errors” to which we have brought ourselves due to our NOT KNOWING

(our ignorance). What makes the underlying difference is which group of

Spirit-beings choose to utilize this God-given power through the function(s)

of Spirit Consciousness dormant within, and awaiting to be discovered and

utilized constructively by those who seek and find.

To me, it’s quite obvious that the human beings who now rule the

affairs of mankind globally are applying [a secret] principle which enables

Spirit to manifest its powers in a practical objective manner. We must be

careful as we read further, especially this chapter, not to misconstrue these

thoughts as directing us into concepts of religious dogma. This is NOT so.

We are simply attempting to direct our consciousness unto the realms of

possibilities and creativity in our lives, individually, and collectively as a

people, without resorting to ineffectual religious platitudes, banality, and

insipidity.

What we think as superbly frustrating to Blackpeople is that we

sense within ourselves the essence of power to control destiny and to

conquer fate, but we are ineffective in every attempt; I know this, as I

experienced it also, but I take a different approach to finding solutions. The

root of suffering among humanity (irrespective of race, color, creed,

geography, etc.) is the lack of knowledge of WHO we really are, what is

our purpose on earth, where did we come from, and to where are we headed.

But to effectively answer these questions for ourselves, we must first know

who, or what, we are.

Listen to this, and please read it out loud to yourself if you can: When

the (human) body is born [when we come out of our mother’s womb], it

may be born either alive or dead. What is about that body which causes us

to conceive of it as either dead or alive? It is the component of the Supreme

Spirit (give it whatever name you may: call it God, Allah, Force, etc. it does

NOT matter the name you give it) which, when it enters the body, gives life

to that body; or when it leaves that body we say it’s a dead body. That

Force enters the body upon taking the very first breath. It is that Spirit, that

Force, that God-consciousness, which enables us to be humans or a living

consciousness of Spirit, or the so-called “living soul”. All Holy Literature,

irrespective of religion, concur that Sprit is of God and that God, indeed, is

Spirit; and man is like God in that man [the human being] possess a

component of that Spirit within his being. Therefore all human beings are

gods (i.e., Spirit-beings possessing the powers of the Supreme Spirit [God]

within them, the power is NOT our own since it did not originate in us).

But the greatest problem is, and has been, that in almost 99.9 percent

of the time, we are NOT objectively aware of this fact in our consciousness

and so the [power] of Spirit does NOT manifest as it would, could, and

should.

Sprit-beings (lesser Gods) have the will and power to destroy or

create. This we can see every day. The outcome of the actions of Sprit-

beings depends on their choice; some Spirit-beings choose to destroy and to

be destroyed, while others create and cause themselves to be active

participants in the creative activity which is continuous throughout the

universe as we speak at this very moment.

What is the fundamental power of Spirit? It is Its ability to create

[souls]. But how? Through the inherent potential called mind—that ability

and power possessed by Sprit-beings which enable us to conceive of, and

to conceptualize, things and/or conditions. So, when Spirit through mind,

conceptualizes, it creates a mental image (through the faculty of imagery,

visualization).

When you visualize an image, that is to say, when you form a [mental

picture] of anything or simply dwell on a thought for prolonged periods of

time, no matter what it is, the essence of that visualized image obtains a

consciousness in the Spirit world: it literally becomes a “living” entity with

consciousness, i.e., it becomes a [soul]. Let’s understand that when a

conscious Spirit, like a human being, concentrates on an image, It (the

Spirit) infuses the image with components of Itself (the Spirit Self) from its

own being and causes it [the visualized image] to materialize. This suggests

the very fine points on how we [in our status as Sprit-beings] create events,
opportunities, things, peace, wars, etc., in our lives or in the lives of other

beings. Now this: Sprit-beings who destroy are EVIL, while those who

create peaceful circumstances, like GOD does, are termed GOOD and

thus participate in the building-up process which God set into motion eons

ago.

IMPORTANT: When Sprit-being directs circumstances in

environment, [It] simply applies this secret principle, consciously or

unconsciously. Those who create good things, or are enabled to create good

things, succeed and progress; but those who do NOT create for the comfort

or success of their kind perish in the long run and become incapacitated

victims of the powers of those who build up! It is the law of the cosmos,

and everything follows Cosmic Law, which are Divine because they

originate in God. Remember, you are consumed, overwhelmed, by

whatsoever you create, good or bad. If you become consumed with good

thoughts and thoughts of progress and good will toward the world and its

people around you, the world will (ultimately) look favorably on you in

return, and vice versa. This is called the Law of Compensation (Or the Law

of Retribution or Karma ). Similarly, nobody escapes the effects of self-

created and self-conceived evil or GOOD. Time reveals the consequences

of our conceptions! Where is Adolf Hitler? Where is Idi Amin of Uganda?

Where is Samuel K. Doe of Liberia? Musilini? Stalin? Where is Nelson

Mandela?

With this you can now see why I am frustrated at Blackpeople

because we have the powers to stop the destruction that rains upon us every

moment of our conglomerated life. So you see why I believe that no other

person is to be blamed for our plight and decadence, but ourselves!

Thus the hope of Africa, yea the hope of the world, lies in the capacity

of our leaders to apply their creative powers in alleviating the woes and

sorrows of their people. In the month of September, 1999, President

William Jefferson Clinton of the Unites States of America addressed the

United Nations Security Counsel on the issues pertaining to world peace.

He said that the 20th century was marred and scared with deep wounds of

hatred and blood shed stemming from “greed” and “lust for power” in third

world countries. The Secretary General of the United Nations at that time

was Mr. Koffie Annan of Ghana. (Parenthetically, Ghana is the most

outstanding sub-Saharan country that demonstrates tremendous potential for

leadership in continental Africa. I believe that the seat of government for a

United States of Africa shall be in Ghana and that the initial and primary

leadership of Africa shall be from Ghana. There is something mystical,

mysterious, and constructively powerful about the Ghanaians. It seems

plausible to believe that they comprise descendents of the lost continent,

Atlantis. There are "certain" Afro-Americans that look like and behave like

Ghanians! One of them is Collin Powell, the Secretary of State of the

United States of America.)

Whether one wishes to believe it or not, accept or reject it, the truth

remains: viz, that which divides people into classes is NOT their skin color,

their geographical region of birth, or their means of livelihood; neither is it

their wealth, education, nor whatever-have-you, which puts a person or

group of persons into any specific category. It is how these people, as

Spirit-beings (or lesser Gods) apply themselves and their inherent powers

through conceptualization, visualization, concentration, and imagery. Those

who use these tools given by the Supreme Spirit, the Creator of all lesser

Spirit-beings, direct the affairs of their environment and the destiny of the

world. This is why I agree with La Gorda’s “we hold the images of the

world with our attention…If we don’t [focus] attention on the world, the

world collapses”.

The world(s) of Blackpeople are in a perpetual state of collapse daily,

and will continue to do so [if] our rulers/dictators refuse to be leaders and

refuse to focus their attention on the proper creative ventures and images for

the collective success of all peoples of African descent, and the White
peoples also. You see, in my mind’s eye, I don’t see racial differences as

barriers to the creative ingenuity of humankind; no matter what and how one

thinks, we are all Sprit-beings conscious in material bodies of various hues

or pigmentation. The pigment is NOT power!!! If concepts of slavery and

the vivid practices of oppression around us tend to make us believe

otherwise, we are now urged and admonished to re-program our minds in

order to disentangle ourselves and realize our potential and power to change

circumstance all to the Glory of God and the benefit of humankind. The

power lies in the utility of mind.

Without vision, without [creative imagery], without the holding and

focusing attention on the advancement of the continent of Africa and its

people, and also the advancement of all other races and peoples, we perish,

we collapse as the great race [the human race].

Please re-read this chapter and add your own ideas, using these

inspired thoughts as seed concepts (if you may) to discover that your hope,

our hope, the hope of Blackpeoples everywhere, the hope of humankind

everywhere, is the powers of God inherent in us as lesser Gods, or Spirit-

beings, who are capable of changing the world around us for the betterment

of all. The class structure may always be there—but it will then be

dependent only on how each human being utilizes his power as a Sprit-
being or a lesser-God. As Spirit-beings, our respective powers are NOT in

the pigmentation of skin, it is based on how we use the faculty of Mind, that

most powerful function characteristic of conscious Spirit like [you], like

each and every human being everywhere.

CHAPTER TEN

Humility and the concept of “common good”.

“…..it is preferred to work for a common good”

Thomas S. Reese, M.D.

Chief, Laboratory of Neurobiology, National Institutes of
Neurologic Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), NIH;
Member, American Academy of Sciences
I was a Visiting Fellow in Pediatric Neurology at Duke University

Medical Center in Durham, N.C., under the tutelage of the late Bernard J.

D’Souza, M.D.; Dr. D’Souza was Associated Professor of Pediatrics and

Chief of the Division of Pediatric Neurology. There at Duke, I took interest

in basic neuroscience research as I believed that the true answer(s) to

biomedical problems can be found in the laboratories. Thus a career as a

Physician Scientist became appealing.

So, I contacted the Laboratory of Neurobiology at the National

Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland for information on

training Fellowships within that Institute. At that, I was invited to attend a

laboratory session with Dr. Thomas Reese, the then Chief of the Laboratory

of Neurobiology, National Institute of Neurologic Disorders and Stroke

(NINDS). When I entered the conference room in Building 36, Room

2A29 that Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon, I took the only chair/seat that
was vacant. Then a young man walked in, looked around as if trying to find

a seat for himself, and went out of the room; he returned with a wooden box

that was lower than the chair I was sitting in, placed the box by my chair,

and sat down. The man looked [up at me] from the box [below my seat]

and, with an out-stretched hand, said: “Hello, I am Tom Reese.” I jumped

out of the seat, literally in panic!. “Tom Reese” was the Laboratory Chief

who I came to see, and apparently, I was sitting in [his seat]!!! Dr. Reese is

a well known outstanding scientist and he is a [Whiteman], for that matter. I

couldn’t believe what I was experiencing. An [humble] superior Whiteman

before an [unknown] Blackman from a peasant village in Africa! And this

Whiteman is treating this Blackman with authentic, professional respect!

Dr. Reese is one of the most remarkable persons I have ever met throughout

my entire life! He is real, genuine, and unpretentious. If you were to get to

know this man, you would immediately know what I mean. Truly, “those

who mean something don’t mind; but those who mind mean nothing ”.

Dr. Reese is NOT a perfect human being (there is not such a person), but he

has a good heart and would treat anybody the way he (Reese) would like to

be treated if given the chance.

Later on, I was awarded a Fellowship to work in this [Reese’s]

laboratory. I decided to observe this man; as I wanted to know if he was

genuinely humble and if he had a true love for humankind as he [appeared]

to have. He does not speak much but radiates confidence and power in a

subtle remarkable way. I have seen this man sweep the floor in the

laboratory, answer phones for his secretary: “Hello, this is Tom, may I help

you?” This was the response I got when he picked up, during a call I made

in attempts to contact his Administrative Assistant, Anna. To me, there is

something about this man that’s worth emulating! One thing is sure:

he’s an excellent scientist.

I decided, on a certain afternoon, to discuss with Dr. Reese the

philosophical/religious topic of “death”; I asked why is the human being

afraid to die? This was his response:- “Because human being is afraid

that his secret heart will not be accepting of the Love of God, and that

he may live in eternal damnation.” I was surprised, shocked, to hear that

from a Scientist! And this guy believes this. He lives it.

So I said to myself, Ah! this man lives by a secret principle of desiring

to be “deserving of the Love of God” ? That’s why he is so powerful in his

field, powerful in a special, unique way. There is another guy who I have

NOT come to know personally, but who also believes in that secret principle

of God’s love; he is Benjamin Carson, M.D., the Director of Pediatric

Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins University Medical Center in Baltimore,

Maryland. Dr. Carson is one of the best neurosurgeons in the world! He

writes of his fame as being due to God’s gift in his book, “Gifted Hands”.

Remarkable! Watch Dr. Carson speak, he’s simple and humble but exerts a

certain authority and finesse. Thomas Reese, and men like him, have

attitudes that worth emulating; they point to God. President Bill Clinton is

another man whose attitude struck my attention, just after winning the

presidential elections over the Republicans; i.e., the man [Clinton] goes to

the White House to meet with the outgoing president George Bush, Mr.

Clinton [stoops] to play with a dog (appearing completely oblivious to the

fact that he was being televised worldwide). [The President of the greatest

and most powerful nation in the world! He forgot for a moment, about being

the most powerful man in the world, and becomes child-like, stooping, with

the world watching, to play with a puppy dog!] One could sense Mr.

Clinton’s attitude; the man was NOT pretending. He is, simply put, [a

winner] ! Even after he won the presidential elections, he couldn’t stop

shaking hands. President Bill Clinton, too, almost always suggested the

concept of God to the American people. To me, then, there must be some

authenticity in this belief in God as the source of true power and authority;

and those who are truly powerful are loving and humble, NOT sinless and

pure as others think, and wish to impose.

I need to tell this very funny little story about Dr. Reese and me at

lunch. One Wednesday afternoon, a voice came knocking at the door of the

laboratory where I was working; it was Dr. Reese. He came to ask me to go

to lunch with him. So, we left for lunch. I was so dressed up in baggies a

beautiful blue shirt and a matching tie and shoes, as if I was going to see

patients in a clinic; you know, I'd just come from Duke and was used to

dressing up because we dealt with patients all the time. But now, I was in a

research seeting, but never got used to "dressing like a scientists". So, as we

walked through the NIH campus go to a cafeteria, I said, "Dr. Reese, I do

not understand this". He said what? I said: "look at the way I am so dressed

up but look at you; I don't like this cause you are my boss". He said: "Oh,

don't worry about it, when people see us they will know who the boss is". I

coulnd't stop laughing; to thiis day, every time I think about it, I just burst

out laughing. He was totally right! You will almost never find the Chief of

any Laboratory in research academia "dressed up" in coat and tie except on

very rare occasions when he is attending special conferences to make

presentations like before some panel or something of that sorts. You know

what? We [Black folks] like to show off all the very little we have! We

sometimes behave as if we owned the World Bank! One of the jokes a

girlfriend and I had was to look out for [a] Black folk who characteristically
dressed up in coat and tie and driving a big old beat-up cadillac on a 90

degree summer day! We would know that all he had was on his

body...showing off! (Stop laughing !) Black folks reading this know what I

am saying; and, undoubtedly, are laughing! The way the White folk in

research academia manifests his superiority and power is absolutely

different; but when I got to learn the ropes (most of which came from Dr.

Reese's examples), I quickly got in line! Know what I mean? LOL!!

I proceeded, on another occasion, to ask my mentor, Dr. Thomas

Reese, on why Whitepeople would put away their differences to unite and

defeat their enemy if they were confronted with one. My question was

legitimate because, I’ve observed very ugly and bitter fights among

Whitefolks, just like how Blackpeople fight among ourselves (human

nature!). But the difference with Whitepople is, no matter how much they

fight and disagree, they will NEVER, may I repeat NEVER, destroy their

institutions and organizations but will preserve what they have built. My

mentor’s [Reese’s] response to that question was shocking. “……..it is

preferred to work for a common good", he said. Note this: he did NOT say

“Whitepeople know better”, or Whitepeople work for a common good”.

He said, [“ it is preferred”] ! "It is preferred"!. Look around the world at

the activities of Blackpeople, do [we] “.…prefer to work for a common

good.” ?

Why don’t we, all peoples of the world, [Black], White, Yellow, all

races, work for a common good? What is the [common good] to which we

must aspire as a group of people who would take the responsibility for

directing the destiny of the world(s) of Blackpeoples and to engage in

activities which would develop the peoples of the this world, and,

especially, [Blacks] ?

To me, it is the attitude that we acquire as a people and the practice of

this concept of “common good”, in a pragmatic way, that ultimately makes

America what it is today---ahead of all other countries of the world extant.

CHAPTER ELEVEN

BEING AND HAVING

“I will study and prepare myself, for someday I know my
chance will come.”

Abraham Lincoln
President of the United States of America
The underlying reason why there is the sky-rocketing crime rate

among Black youths today is related to the lack of the right perspective on

who we are and what we can potentially become (the state of “being’), as

opposed to the state of “having”. “Being” relates to, or gives us an idea as

to, who we are, what we can become, and what we do worth, or whether we

are “somebody” or not. “Having” relates to things outside of us---

materialism, money, automobiles, jewelry, possessions, and the like. These

are actually states of existence or modes of living life (I refer to these states

as “being” and “having”, respectively).

To be somebody, or to be in a position where one can attract and earn

things, is the priority of the person who knows how to win in life. This
spells out a value system. First things come first; i.e., “I must first prepare

myself and then I will live life in accordance with the extent or degree of my

preparation”, the winner would say.

When I was a boy in a village in Liberia, my dad and I would walk

miles to the farm (my parents are dirt poor peasants of Africa). My dad said

to me one day, as we were headed for the farm, walking for nearly 75 miles

or more ( and I can fully remember this), he said: “Pylord, one writer said, "

I will study and prepare myself, for some day I know my chance will come.”

I asked dad who was this writer, he said he couldn’t remember. Later on in

High School when I studied American literature, I discovered for myself that

this write of whom papa spoke was [a] President of the greatest nation on

earth, President Abraham Lincoln of the United States of America! The

strangest thing was that as a boy growing up in Liberia, I virtually “idolized”

Abe Lincoln. Nobody told me about Abe because nobody around me in the

peasant lands in my country really knew anything about Abe; I was simply

an unusual fellow. For some strange reason, I loved his speeches—I used to

memorize the Gettysburg address while walking through the woods in rurual

Sinoe County, Liberia. When my dad came to the United States in the late

1970’s, he visited the Lincoln Memorial on the Mall in Washington, D.C.;

and guess what he brought me as a souvenir ? A postcard with Abe Lincoln

sitting on that marble stone at the monument, and a copy of the Gettysburg

address (if you have been to Washington, D.C. and have had the chance to

visit the Lincoln Memorial, you would know what I am talking about.). My

dad did NOT even know that I loved Abe and Abe’s works. Strange but

true! Anyway, this is what I wish to say about this poor boy who became

President Lincoln. First, Abe prepared himself to become somebody.

Then what followed? He was ready to “have” things, for he became

President of the most powerful nation on earth, and worlds of opportunities

were right in his lap and at his every command. He discovered his talents

and abilities and exerted his qualities to the extent of becoming President of

the greatest nation in the world! What a guy! What an example to emulate!

Become a competent High School graduate and acquire skills which

would equip you for the competitive work world; earn a college degree, a

Master's degree at least, in any field of your choice. Be an outstanding

Lawyer or an Engineer, a Ph.D. in any field, or a Physician (M.D.). Be an

educated Business Executive, a certified public accountant (CPA), an

Economist or a Banker. Be a competent law-abiding citizen in the country

where you live, with set values and goals for excellence in the things which

will bring ultimate satisfaction to both you and the people in the community

in which you live. [A “term” in prison is NOT satisfactory to anyone, no

matter who you are.] These are but a few examples of what one can

become, and what I mean when I say the state of “being”. I know I have

made myself clear here, haven't I?

I, personally, am obsessed with the concept of “being”. I seek, all the

time, for opportunities to become better each and every day by doing

something worthwhile. I must excell! I am literally crazy about being one

of the best in whatever I do. I am NEVER SATISFIED WITH

MEDIOCRITY. “Mediocrity is excellent to the eyes of the mediocre”, says

the book, The Pursuit of Excellence. Can you become an Astronaut? A

jumble jet pilot? Can you become a genetic engineer? Be! Be! Be!

Then you will “have” . Be a law-abiding citizen of whatever country you

find yourself and don’t choose to break the law to find yourself behind bars.

I know of Black youths who think that going to jail is a "badge of courage";

and they boast about it. This is true! I heard them speak and laugh about

having gone to jail and being a "dog"! They would laugh at the other kid

who has never been to jail, and they would refer to him as being a "chicken",

meaning he's a coward! Every time we commit a crime we tarnish the

image of Blackpeople, if you are Black; or you ruin the reputation of your

parents whether you are Black or White, or Yellow, or Brown.

Then, once you have dedicated yourself to becoming someone of

advanced quality to society, you will create for yourself the opportunity to

have the things that you wish to have, in a legitimate way. I know that our

societies are corrupt all the world over; being good among evil-minded

people is a most difficult task, with no winning in sight. I know this by

experience, where a fellow scientist told me that “most people will avoid

you because you want to be a 'puritan' ”. I ended being psychologically

scourged, and my career derailed, for over SEVEN hard and bitter years!

What did I do wrong? Nothing! Simply I was Black and was trying to do

the right thing—keeping the law and performing excellent research. But the

truth is that you don’t have to cut crocked corners to steal, rob or kill your

brothers and sisters in order to “have” things. The very fact that you are

ready to earn a living after you have prepared yourself, gives you the

[power] to attract whatsoever you need, and probably want, to the degree of

your preparation for living a constructive, peaceful life according to how

you see it. Regarding criminal behavior, I, Pylord P. Doe, has never ever

committed a single crime in my entire life! My background records are what

they call "squeeky clean"; so when "racist" White folk tries to get me, he's

got nothing to hold on. I cannot be enticed into drinking alcoholic beverages

or illicit drugs like "weed" or Coccaine and the like. I have lived in the

United States of america for over 15 years; and 90 percent of the time what
you would find me doing is either studying at some academic institution,

reading scientific literature, or writing new ideas that could be researched!

What I am trying to emphasize is this: I am not just talking, I have walked

the walk and lived the life and I am an example of what I preach and teach

even in this book. People have tried to incriminate me to their own dismay;

they try and try and end up giving up because they find nothing to really

hold against me. Why I am the way I am, I don't know. All I can say is this:

the God Almighty has got His Hand on me for some special reason that I

probably don't deserve. I, too, am wondering what in the world it might be!

The bottomline is this: I love humanity, I love the human being (no matter

his race, nationality, religion, creed, or color) with all my heart and soul.

How I wished we could all live in peace and harmony and share the Love of

God, living peaceably together. Can we not feel the pains of this world....the

world is hurting, folk!

We as parents, should be able to teach our children some of these

value system paradigms which would enable them to live life confidently.

We should see our respective lives as divided into stages. First, we are born

into this world; second, we become young men and women preparing and

educating ourselves (the preparation stage); then the stage of employment

comes; the stage of raising a family may coincide with the stage of
earning/working. Because these types of value system paradigms do not

become rooted into the consciousness of our children from infancy, they do

NOT know what to do when they get out into the “real world”. They

become frustrated and do whatever it takes to have things;and living life is

equated to “having” things (i.e., beautiful cars, gold necklaces, expensive

jewelry, etc.)

In former days of community value system(s), each household was a

brother’s keeper. The next door neighbor would watch out for his

neighbor’s children. He would report to a child’s parents anything that a

child was doing wrong. I am of the opinion that we as a community, should

create and enforce our [personal] community regulations, in addition to

“government-imposed” laws. Parents must take responsibility for their

children; and the federal government should keep out of our personal

family lives and how we train our children and run our homes. Now we

have something that is called “child abuse” whenever you spank a child;

the parent may be locked up in prison or be required to pay a fine

because she/he disciplined a child by spanking. It never used to be this

way; now the children rule and control parents, children become outlaws and

criminals in Black communities and there is virtually nothing we can do to

stop the destruction this has already created. We should not say, “they put
the guns out there that’s why the kids got them”. THE GUNS WERE

SIMPLY THERE, YOU GOT THEM YOURSELVES; THE DRUGS ARE

THERE, YOU GOT THEM YOURSELVES! I don’t do drugs; I have

never, ever smoked a “joint” in my entire life—I don’t even know what it

looks like. True! A glass of any type of beer gets me intoxicated; I fall

asleep for 6 to 10 hours after having had some alcoholic beverage to drink,

therefore I don’t consume alcoholic beverages. The smell of cigarettes

causes my upper airway to itch like an allergic reaaction, while sometimes it

makes me feel sofocated and nauseated. This is simply to emphasize that I

do not poison my body with things of this nature.

We must take control, stringent control, of ourselves and our

respective communities and stop blaming the Whiteman for being the cause

of the crime among Black youths today.

Black youths must be taught the difference between BEING and

HAVING, and the proper relationship between the two; this would create the

recognition and practice of VALUES by which to live in order to become

a successful, morally responsible citizen of your country of residence. First,

“BE” then you shall “HAVE”.

CHAPTER TWELVE
BRIDGING THE GAP
(BETWEEN WHITEPEOPLE AND BLACKPEOPLE)
"Nothing we can say can fully describe the misery of our people; but the day

we had been fighting for, the day we were waiting for, has arrived. Let us

forget the past. Let us hold hands."

Nelson Mandella

President of South Africa

(On: " ....refusal to seek revenge" during his Inaugural)

“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”

Romans 3:23 (King James Bible)

"…..Except he be converted, and become as little children, ye

shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven."

Matthew 18:1-4 (King James Bible)

"……for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you."

Luke 17:20-21 (King James Bible)

This chapter is intended to help us [Blackpeople] see how we have

perpetuated the slave saga, to see how we have CONTRIBUTED TO the

bitterness that exists between Blackpeoples and Whitepeople, and what we

have to do to stop the fire of hatred from burning (i.e., to literally put the fire

out). I personally love this chapter. You might wonder whether I think that

Whitepeople are NOT to be blamed for anything at all. No, that is not my

position. My position is that although slavery happened in its physical

forms, we, Blackpeople, perpetrate and perpetuate it psychologically,

mentally, and physically against our own people today. A perfect example

is what goes on in Africa now, at this very moment, where there are

brutal, civil wars being fought on African soil by Africans against

Africans. Is there any real reason for all this? No. In the Washington Post

October 16, 1999 edition is an article on Sierra Leone [“Diamond Hunters

Fuel Africa’s Brutal Wars”]; a young man is pictured in this article with
his right hand amputated and the other appears deformed! In fact, the paper

says Mr. Charles Taylor, the then current self-made President of Liberia,

“has helped Sierra Leone’s rebels obtain arms and military training for the

rebels,….” This is happening at the verge of the 21st Century! What a

plight! Are Black leaders crazy? What has happened to us?

We say we are the way we are politically, economically, and morally

because Whitepeople have enslaved us! Is it white people cutting off the

hands and arms of Blackpeople in African countries? Hell no! We are

doing it to ourselves. When I saw the picture of that young Sierra Leonian

with his right hand amputated, I literally cried. Why should we treat each

other this way? The same principle is in operation in the United States of

America, where Black youths murder each other in the inner cities (like in

South East Washington, D.C. and in Chicago, Illinois).

Therefore, the beginning of the healing process within our own Black

communities is to admit and confess that we are our own destroyers. We

have NOT done the right things to rehabilitate ourselves and our youth. We

commit atrocities against our own people. The Whiteman is not to blame.

This must be our confession, openly and boldly. Our leaders should admit

this in public, and stop fueling wickedness against our people. Can’t we see

and feel how painful it is?

Next, we should admit that we sold our brothers and sisters into

slavery! Yes, we did! Please read the first sentence of this paragraph again.

Did you get it? Most Black politicians would not admit this publicly. We

simply paint a picture as if White slave masters seized/captured

Blackpeople on the continent, against their will, and made slaves of them.

They [Whitepeople] bought slaves [human beings] from the Black chiefs

and so-called tribal kings and queens. This is a blatant fact that we

[Blacks] would not wish to acknowledge because we are afraid of its

(possible) consequences. As you read this book at this very moment, there

is slavery practiced in parts of Africa. Check it out for yourselves! Is this

being done by Whitepeople?

Whitepeople may be, and have nonetheless demonstrated to be,

willing to work with us [if] we stop blaming them for everything that is

going wrong in our lives today. They know that there are evidences of

prejudice, racial, and other forms of discrimination practiced in White-ruled

countries (like the United States of America, Britain, France, etc.) against

"Blacks" and other so-called Minority people. In the United States of

America, Whitepeople have created laws against racial and other forms of

discrimination so as to enable us [people of color] to bring the matters

before the courts; they are the ones who do the wrong, yet they create Laws
to curtail such practices among themselves. (Do you see the principle

involved here?) We Blacks, are as prejudiced and hateful, if not more than

Whites, as Whitepeople are possessed of these same types of flaws and

faults. Why should we make it appear as if they [Whitepeople] are

devils and demons, and we [Blacks] are angels? Whitepeople may be evil

and prejudiced towards Blacks, but they do not go around cutting off,

amputating, Black people's hands and arms and heads and performing

jungle-style below the knee amputations like the way we do to each other in

the 21st century. Is this my observation true?

Therefore, in order to bring Black and White people together we

should be prepared to admit the wrong things we have done to each other;

admit to the destructive practices against Africa and its people through our

well-managed dictatorship regimes; we should admit that the West has

shown genuine concern by pouring monies into Africa for development

(such monies have been pocketed and squandered by our greedy leaders

who usually die in office with a stolen monetary worth of millions of dollars

—in the case Mobutu Sese Seku of the Congo, a billion dollars). Admitting

our wrong doing does several things, among which are: (1) We purge and

cleanse our consciousness of the negative energies which block our

discernment, perspicacity, apperception, and creativity; (2) We show that we

are willing to change the way we govern; (3) Admitting and confessing will

demonstrate that we mean business and are willing to transform ourselves

through acts and practices of benignity, benevolence, and beneficence

toward our people, toward humanity at large; (4) This would show that we

have the fear of God, and thus we would invoke Him into our activities for

building better societies, etc.

Remember the story of the woman “caught in the very act of

adultery”, and was brought to Jesus to be condemned? The Master said, “let

him among you who has no sin cast the first stone”. All her accusers saw

themselves as wrongdoers and left the woman standing alone. Jesus said to

her, “neither do I condemn you, go and sin no more”. Yes, this is what the

Great Master did!

We, all human beings, are full of love---love beyond all measure.

Love is the God Force in action. Down deep within our being is that

fountain of goodness and love; that is one of the reasons why the Master

Jesus said “the Kingdom of God is within you”. Our problem is that we are

deluded in thinking that the best way to live a liberated life is to oppress

others, take away their means of livelihood, take another person’s life,

destroy the dreams of others, live lives of hate and war, etc. We perpetuate a

vicious cycle by returning evil for the evil practiced against us (and by
initiating acts of evil and hate); the truth is that if those who began the evil

did not begin such evil practices, we wouldn’t feel terrible and revengeful.

Therefore, if you hurt people, STOP hurting others today as you would NOT

enjoy being hurt by another. Stop doing the things that hurt other people,

and this goes for all human beings irrespective of color, creed, religion,

nationality, etc. What do the Masters of Wisdom mean when they said that

“only those who are like little children may enter into the Kingdom of

Heaven”? Children, while playing may find themselves fighting and

disagreeing over some toy or something; but those very same children, two

hours from now, may be playing together happily as if nothing happened

between them. (As parents, we have all seen this). By first recognizing our

own failures, we shall be ready to start from the beginning of a new life

filled with love and kindliness, based on freedom from ignorance, and

embracing right thought and action.

To emphasize, I have used the attitude of the Jewish nation as an

example to follow. Did you forget that Biblical history claims that the Jews

were slaves in Africa (Egypt) for years? Did you know that, according to

the Biblical account of their slavery, they blamed themselves for what was

happening to them? Also, did you know that it was Africans who enslaved

the Jews in Egypt? Do you see the Jews going around practicing hate crimes
against, and cursing at, Blackpeople today (the probable descendants of

slave masters of the Jewish people in Egypt)? No! No! No! (I, Pylord,

when no Black person would help me out, when my own people turned their

backs on me during periods of adversity and hardship in the United States of

America, a Jewish family took me in and fed me and put roof over my head.

A Jewish scientist gave me money, fed me, and helped me bear my burden,

and helped ease my hardship. The Jews do it all the time!)

During their suffering in Egypt, according to the historical accounts

even in the Bible, the Jews said: “Our God is angry with us because of

something we did wrong, and because of this He has brought upon us this

evil. When will our God have mercy upon us and send us a liberator?”

Although they did not like what their slave masters were doing, they did not

sit around and blame them for what they found themselves in, they took

issue with themselves [the Jews] that it was they who did something wrong

that caused the effect that they were experiencing. These people were

thinking and acting from the Higher Plane of Spirituality and Power!

Believe thou it, there is something about these small group of people in a

small country as Israel such that the whole world, practically, DOES NOT

like them. This attitude of the world against them, is, and of itself, a sure

sign that they are originally “a special kind of people”.

Oh! I just had an idea: Blackpeople are [a] "special kind of people"

also, especially from the moment we begin to think and act like we are

"special", because we are!.

But what is the responsibility of Whitepeople in all of this? A current

best example is what was demonstrated in South Africa by Mr. Nelson

Mandela’s “Reconciliation Council”. The former White supremacy and

ruling groups are made to come before the Tribunal and confess their evil

done against Blacks in South Africa. But then the South African leadership

makes a move to [forgive] their oppressors of all their sin. For the

oppressors who confess, their conscience become purged and cleansed by

the act of admitting their wrong against these people; by admitting and

confessing ones wrong is an ACT of invoking the highest spiritual powers

into one’s consciousness for effecting a peaceful change. Whitepeople

must admit wrong doing to themselves, FIRST, then in public, about the

evils of slavery against Black people. But most important of all:

BLACKPEOPLE MUST BE READY AND WILLING TO FORGIVE!

NOT TO USE IT AGAINST WHITEPEOPLE, which is the tendency in

America; that is, the tendency to use peoples' weaknesses against them in

the courts of law, etc. A big hurdle to overcome, because of our legal

system in America, is the law against INCRIMINATING oneself; therefore,

by law, we cannot expect the “government” of the United States of America

to incriminate herself by coming out and saying “we of the government of

the United States of America have enslaved Blacks and now wish to

apologize”. That's stupid, that's dumb. If this is what we want for them to

do, it would be impractical because of our legalist ways of thinking and

acting in America.

These are simply few thoughts of mine which are intended to be

enlarged upon by my reading audience, for the effecting of peace among

Blackpeople and between Blackpeople and Whitepeople throughout the

world. May that Peace of God be with you, my (Black and White) friends

(including my unprovoked, self-made enemies).

CHAPTER THIRTEEN

SUGGESTIONS
“All individuals are what they are—and where they are—
as a composite result of all their own doings.”

Dennis Waitley, Ph.D.

At the beginning of the plans for this book, I proceeded to title this

chapter “solutions”. But there is an inherent error in such a title, since my

finite mind, alone, cannot come up with all, if any, of the answers to our

problems. I therefore needed the active, collective minds of all those other

human beings around me, the other Spirit Beings, to formulate solutions.

So, what I write here as possible solutions are merely SUGGESTIONS. I

believe that we, as a people, can develop ourselves toward a progressive end

by creating and adopting for ourselves solutions that produce tangible,

constructive results that can be practically applied for the benefit of all.

TRUST

We must begin by trusting ourselves, and then trusting each other.

Those who have progressive ideas should come together and share them

with the single aim of contributing to the over all success of the envisioned

system. What is Trust? It is the unwavering confidence that each and the

other is almost always ( greater than 95% of the time) working for the

benefit of the all, for “a common good”. In trusting, we DO NOT betray the
other’s interest, we DO NOT backbite and gossip about other people, we

DO NOT scandalize others, we just DO NOT seek to negate another’s

dreams, another’s efforts; instead, we support and we uplift each other. This

is the concept of TRUST. The reason, or one of the reasons, why African

rulers, or Blackpeople in general, turn out to be dictators and murderers of

their people is because of DIS-trust and GREED. These are two powerful

energies systems which destroy! If the one who wants to take power from

the other incumbent ruler will, after all, be a greedy selfish dictator like all

others, why the attempts to seek to be in power? With this type of reasoning

and power thirst, there seems to be no need, I think, to attempt to remove the

other from his position of rulership/dictatorship. If all will be blind leaders

of the blind, why bother? But if somebody shows the leadership ability to

change things for the better, I think such a person must be supported by the

people. What do you think? Principle number one: TRUST.

UNITY

“United we stand, divided we fall” is a powerful cliché whose powers

have NOT been invoked in the Black community as often as needed for the

benefit of Black progress. The power of this cliché was demonstrated when

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., decided to unite with the ideas and ideals of

Rosa Parks when she stood undaunted, for what is/was right (i.e., sovereign,
human dignity for Blackpeople without exception ). The civil rights

movement and its success was based on this concept of Unity. The

propagation of slavery, as well as its physical demise, was based on this

principle of Unity, involving both "Whites" and "Blacks". The destruction

of Africa by its own is successful because certain ethnic socio-political

groups unite to destroy the other. Therefore, the same principles apply in

creating success in the affairs of Blackpeoples throughout the world. Unity

entails working together for a “common good”. If each Spirit-being, as

described previously, concerns Itself with goodwill and building up the

world toward a peaceful means and ends, so shall it be. But this does NOT

seem to be case—we create confusion, chaos, turmoil, and destruction for

each other. As we decide, so it is, and so shall it be. Study this: The

Supreme Spirit, God, is impersonal; He gives to all of us, not as yet

enlightened Spirit-beings, whatsoever we are able to conceptualize—be it

good or evil—in whatever sense we may wish to interpret good and evil.

Those who do NOT realize the impartiality of the Supreme Spirit mistakenly

believe that H is unfair and unjust, since He permits all the worldwide

disaster created by us human beings (Spirit-beings). But the fact is this:

[Spirit] does NOT and cannot [impose] its belief on another; Spirit is

directed in accordance with our conceptions, visions and images. If humans

concertedly envision evil, we shall surely reap evil because Spirit will

energies our conceptions, whatsoever they are. On the other hand, if we

envision, collectively, to rescue the perishing souls and care for the living

but yet dying (images and visions of progress and construction), so shall it

be! What I am attempting to reveal is the Law of Compensation. It

dictates, the law does, that whatever you sow that you will reap. I know

that out there are evil beings who would encroach upon another’s dreams

and create setbacks in ones works in attaining ones envisioned heights; but

the more the enemy takes away from you, the more the Supreme Spirit

would [energize] your creative images of success and construction, provided

you continue to visualize and, thereby, energize your conceptions. Have you

NOT seen and read of how success came to many through the power of

sheer perseverance? Read Norman Vincent Peal’s “How To Stop Worrying

And Start Living”; it’s one of the greatest books I have ever read about men

and women who would have been losers but continued to keep their visions

and dreams alive and energized toward ultimate fulfillment and success.

This is the principle: We as a people are at the control and the power

to free ourselves, and this can be realized through our working together for a

common good. UNITY.

ORGANIZATION
We must organize our thoughts, aims and plans. We should analyze

what we exactly want to create, then put it in a form of a plan. Without this,

we cannot effectively execute the bringing to fruition of our envisioned

goals and conceptions. We have had the Organization of African Unity

(OAU), but what has it executed in terms of a successful economic and

infrastructural growth of Africa? Practically, NOTHING! Please look at

where we are today, as Africans. By an objective opinion, all must Africans

must agree, the OAU has been and will probably continue to be a collection

of high tech egotistic bourgeois who are, indeed, superbly evolved

hedonistic individuals with no self-realization and hence defective and

ineffectual organizational skills to lead its people from the clutches of a self-

creacted fateful destiny. Effective execution of leadership abilities follows

effective, goal-directed organization. This principle is called:

ORGANIZATION.

I thought that I knew what Black suffering was in the United States

of America by living in Washington, D.C. Metro area for over ten years; but

when I went to live in Chicago for a brief period, I couldn’t believe what I

saw(!). I was psychologically devastated by the type of human suffering I

saw in Chicago. Human beings were being herded like animals, like cattle

in a place called the Pacific Garden Mission (PGM), where the

“Unshackled” Christian Gospel Program is made almost every day, telling

the life stories of homelessness and poverty; those who are housed on the

premises of the PGM are over 99% Black. Go in there and see Black men,

mostly, ranging from ages between 20 to over 75 years; the oldest ones had

been going to that place since time immemorial, I was told, and

homelessness and hopelessness has been their lot since they were young.

When I saw what I saw written in the faces of these helpless old men (and

sometimes women, too) I couldn’t help but cry! My heart rented and I cried

to my very core! Why are these people like this? Does it mean that

Blackpeople have NOT the POWER to save their own? Does it mean that

Blackpeople don’t have the money to salvage and rehabilitate their own

people, even in America? No! It means that Blackpeople are devilishly

selfish, cruel, (destructively) individualist, with a massive carelessness

about each other. Why do I think this way? Black millionaires are

everywhere in this country and each movie Star, each Foot Ball player, the

Michael Jordan’s and Michael Jackson’s, etc. each can contribute at least a

million dollars to the rehabilitation of Blackpeople in this country by

investing in programs dealing [directly] with Black poverty in constructive

ways that would bring tangible results to the suffering many in this land.

[Even Black Congressmen and Congresswomen are well poised to influence

the United States Congress to rehabilitate the hoplessly poor and needy in

constructive ways than they are currently engaged.] The problem is this:

these wealthy people “think” they are doing very well by contributing a few

dollars here and there to “certain” worthy cause(s). Don’t get me wrong,

what they do are is good, but NOT enough; NOT enough because what

they do has NOT changed the plight of Blackpeople in any significantly

tangible way, and that’s the bottom line! They have to pool resources and

build Rehabilitation Centers (like the PGM I mentioned above, which is a

White organization trying to reconstructive the lives of people whose culture

they don't truly understand); invest in Black businesses where poor Black

people can come and work to earn a living for themselves, so that they may

build positive inner values for themselves as well as [a] sense of meaning

and worth while they engage in the positive venture of working and earning

for themselves (as opposed to begging and panhandling). OUR major

problem as Blackpeople is ECONOMIC in nature. My theory is this:

BECAUSE OF POVERTY IN AMERICA, BLACK YOUTHS BUY

AND SELL INTO DRUGS AND GUNS BECAUSE THEY HAVE NOT

BEEN TAUGHT TO HAVE A SENSE OF SELF-ESTEEM AND

WORTHINESS TO SOCIETY! When a Black child is born into this

world, he does NOT come out of his mother’s womb smoking a joint! Or
does he? He learns to sniff cocaine, etc., because of street life and the

struggle for survival. If a child is born into a home where the parents are

educated and prepared to teach their children value systems of discipline,

self-esteem, and ways to bring out their inner resolves of power and spiritual

strength, children will learn from this and be able to make informed

decisions as they grow up. But if all the child sees from infancy to teenage

to adulthood is poverty and struggle to survive, this would be what his

subconscious mind gathers and programs, that will be all what that child

knows; and so it becomes a difficult thing to rehabilitate and reprogram that

person to a life of power and self-esteem. Who do we expect to effect such

a change? The Whiteman? The U.S. Federal Government? Dead wrong,

Brothers and Sisters, and (certain) Whitepeople, too! We [Blacks] should

do it ourselves. We have the ability, we have the money; we simply need to

pool resources. Please hear me LOUDLY and CLEARLY!! Please. Use

your SPIRITUAL EARS AND SPIRITUAL EYES AND SPIRITUAL

FEELING AND SPIRITUAL VOICES!

The next three pages are left blank for each reader of African

descent [as well as well-meaning Whitepeople, too (like the Gores, the

Clintons, the (Nelson) Mandellas, the Kennedys, the Gepharts)]; like the

Michael Jordans, the celebrated "Queen of Talk Show" my wonderful Ms.

Oprah Winfrey, the gold miners in Africa, the football celebrities in the

U.S.A., the Collin Powels, the Jesse Jacksons, the Farakhans, the John

Kerrys, etc.) to write a brief outline what they feel are the main points

(outside this perpetuating mythical slavery saga) that would change Black

plight and turn our destiny around for the better. Hopefully, this would

begin significant discussions all around the world to help build better socio-

economic perspectives and true spiritual values for us all to emulate.

EPILOGUE

He Who The [g]ods Have Sent, Is, himself, a [g]od.

Re: William Jefferson Clinton

President of the United States of America

Philosophers, mystics, occultists and those of all religions and

backgrounds have always, throughout all time, intimated that there are extra-
terrestrial [super-human Beings] who direct the affairs of mankind on earth.
These Beings are, or were, called [gods] because of their tremendous,
indescribable powers to accomplish. Plato, Socrates, Aneximander of
Mellitus, and stoics (among others) referred to them [to these beings] as
"gods". Even the Christian Bible refers to “certain” humans as “ye are
gods”! Interesting, isn't it?
There are certain qualities of these so-called "gods": invincibility is
one of these qualities; another is the ability to direct the affairs of “man”
[i.e., humankind] positively constructively.
William Jefferson Clinton, in that he has shown political
invincibility and demonstrates to have super-human abilities [as President of
the United States of America] in directing the economic and social affairs of
“nations” and of "man" is, therefore, a [g]od. He, too, must have indeed
been sent by the [gods]. To this we must all (even if reluctantly) agree!

“Where is the black man’s government? Where is his

king and kingdom? Where is his president, his country and
his ambassador, his army, his navy, his men of big
affairs?”
Marcus Garvey
(In: The Washington Post, H4 Wednesday,
February 12, 1997)

Africa remains isolated and removed from the forces that

are pushing the rest of the world, mired in internal conflict
and wars, hesitant to move forward economically and
sinking in debt and backwardness.”

Abedelaziz Bouteflika
President of Algeria
(In: Financial Times, Tuesday, July 13, 1999)

One of the wisest African leaders, ever, of the last decade of the 20th

century (besides Patrice Lumumba and Kwame Nkruma of Ghana) has

emerged as Mr. Abdelaziz Bouteflika , quoted above! He has spoken the

truth and has done, what I think is spiritually purging and cleansing; that is,

confessing the sad state of Africa, her economy, and the plight of its people.

I was shocked when I read this statements reportedly made by him. Mr.

Bouteflika further argued in the same Financial Times article: “By facing

the political, economic and social realities and co-operating to overcome the

challenges, we have a chance today to embark on a new beginning for

Africa.” What a guy! Is Africa finally emerging from its state of

somnolence and inertia, from its comatous state of goodlessness to that of

loving kindness towards its people? In the same article (Financial Times

mentioned above), Nigeria’s Olusegun Obasanjo was quoted as saying that

“finding a solution to the crippling $220 billion debt problem in the

continent was essential if Africans were to benefit from the democratic

systems they were expected to support.” Essentially, these leaders are

saying that Blackpeople themselves must find the solutions to their

problems.

A very important world leader is William Jefferson Clinton, now

Former President of the United States of America; this man is essentially a

[god] in that he has demonstrated the ability to positively direct the affairs

of, not only the U.S. economy and its social woes, but also those of the

world at large. Did you watch this man shaking hands after he won the U.S.

Presidential Elections? Did you watch him shaking hands during his

triumphant celebration into his office building in New York? No

difference! This guy is NOT a pretender---he is [a] genuine "god". He is

NOT perfect (like every other human being who may be pointing fingers at

Clinton); but he, indeed, is a God-sent leader! The way the West leads its

people (excluding the recent Iraq affairs) should be examples to be emulated

by developing countries. This is NOT to say that the West has all the

answers to the human problem, but here in the West is the best example of
the best that human beings can do within this age and probably many more

to come.

In the United States of America, Mr. Farrakhan used to profess to be

the “Savior” of Blackpeople. He has done significant good, he does good

for (certain) black folk; but his venomous preaching against Whitepeople

and Jews has done no manifested good for the day-by-day living

experiences of Black folks in this country and elswhere. To some of us, he

simply criticizes and presents no workable solutions to cure the hatred and

bitterness between Blackpeople and Whitepeople in this country (the

U.S.A.) and elsewhere. Compare him to Bill Clinton as a Whiteman

bridging the White/Black issues! Do you see what I mean? Clinton

NEVER preached that [he] is a Black "savior". [I would like to make it

quite clear , however, that I am NOT against Mr. Farakhan in any way

personal, as he has done no evil to me and mine personally; I am simply

searching the meaningfulness of his role in effecting solutions to the

White/Black problem that continues to plague our [Black] communities

in America and worldwide. He has good intentions but the effectiveness

of his methods to bringing a workable solution to the Black Plight has

been ambiguous at best --- while [his] methods have shown to create and

would continue to perpetuate hatred, bitterness, and division among us.] It

would appear beneficial if one suggests that Mr. Farrakhan studies the

example of Mr. Mandela, where President Mandela speaks against the evils

of apartheid, but incorporates "Whites" in his government and fosters the

“Reconciliation Council”. Mr. Mandela, like Martin Luther King, Jr., is

indeed a “savior” of his people. Dr. King caused the changes which led to

Civil Right Laws in the United States of America, which brought

tremendous benefits and opportunities for Blackpeople in this country. Mr.

Mandela brought liberation to his people in South Africa and the story is

well known throughout the world. These men did it without preaching hate

and violence; although it was difficult to do, their method brought changes

that most people would enjoy (but, as usual throughout history, NOT

without the loss of human lives in the process). In the United States of

America, the West in general, Black leaders should unite politically and

economically in order to present a leadership for third world countries to

emulate. Such unity should call on the leadership of White congressmen

and prominent White financiers to help bring change to the Black

community worldwide; even with all our prejudices, these types of people

exist. If the Whiteman can rule the rest of the world from the West, why

cannot the Blackman demonstrate leadership abilities from the West as

well; after all, it is in the West taht we find the supreme earthly source of
economic wealth, technological power, and the "seed" of democratic

principles?

The beginning of this book painted a bleak picture of the African

economy and her dying people; but I think the facts I attempted to analyze

are in place. You see, the only way a person, or group of persons, may have

a chance to change is if we can see our own faults and failures, admit them

and begin to find ways to better ourselves. I began to write this book in

1992, but the very same arguments presented then still hold even to this very

day, at the end of the decade even to the beginning of the 21ST century. I

suggest that you read example reports on how the world viewed us at the

beginning of the 90s (The Washington Post, January 1, 1993, page A15)

and compare with the world’s knowledge on Africa in 1999 (Washington

Post, Saturday, October 16, 1999). There have NEVER been proofs to

contradict or rebut these reports because these events did actually take place!

And, to repeat for emphasis, these types of events are presented in this book

to show us our faults and to help us create change.

There is hope for Black people. There is hope for Whitepeople and

Blackpeople coming together and working together to change the

circumstance of humanity on this planet. The first step is change of

attitude. When we begin to see that we all, each and every human, have the
same “raw materials” (i.e., the same spiritual potential) and that the one who

is a "winner" is the one who uses his “spiritual raw materials” properly and

adequately, then we will always realize that each and every person then

either weeds himself OUT of the path of fruitfulness and success, or plants

his/her feet firmly on the path for the utility of his limitless powers of MIND

toward success, growth, good health, peace, and kindliness and love. This is

the key.....the Golden Key! We need to search our respective heart and

conscience. A certain Great Master once said: “The Kingdom of God is

within you.” A kingdom is where one has his throne, from where one rules

his entire land. So, within each and every person is God. We simply need

to recognize this and invoke Him(It) to manifest His (Its) powers in us, and

through us, in order to bring “peace and goodwill toward man” here on

earth.

In closing, I wish to recommend a book by Annie Besant. The book is

titled: “The Spiritual Life”. This book, The Spiritual Life, will change the

life of its every reader in ways up to now unimagined. Try it for

yourself....you will agree!

DEDICATION: This book is dedicated first and foremost to my deceased

mother, Daisy Satahkon Peeyonoh, who passed when I was less than 5 years

old. I have sensed her presence and prayers over the years, which, I believe,

have carried me a long way. Also, to my father, the late Rev. James D. Doe,

who, after the death of my mother, had to put his life on hold simply to take

care of my younger brother, Russell, and me. And most importantly, to my

children, Gustav Everett, Nils Joe, Valerie Ellen, and Isabella Kristy who

have braved life’s hardships without my presence and help. To these

children I owe a lot of inspiration and strength to continue this piece of work

to its completion.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS: A million gratitudes to David C. Sabiston, Jr.,

M.D. [James B. Duke Professor of Surgery, [a] celebrated "god" of

American Medicine of the 20th Century, and Former Chairman of the

Department of Surgery, Duke University School of Medicine, Durham,

N.C.] whose superior judgement, brought me to Duke during the early

periods of the inevitable Liberia Civil War. It was Professor Sabiston's

prophetic recommendation that brought me to Duke, saving my life or else I

would have been a dead man today..... never to have had the opportunity to

write this book. What Sabiston did for me, not even my (peasant) biological

parents could do....he saved my life when it needed a Savior! There are NO

words known to human tongue by which I may adequately thank you,

Professor Sabiston! Thanks a billion, Sir, I am alive because of you! I must

also acknowledge the priceless assistance of Paul A. Wee, Ph.D., former

Senior Pastor, and Wanda A. McNeill, M.Div., Associate Paster, of the

Luthren Church of the Reformation at 212 E. Capitol Street, Washington,

D.C. for the support I received from the Church during nearly impossible

periods of hardship; it was the kindness of the Luthren Church of the

Reformation which became [a] foremost inspiration to writing the chapter

of this book titled, Bridging The Gap (Between Blacks and Whites).

Special thanks to the late Bernard J. D’Souza, M.D., former Chief of the

Division of Pediatric Neurology at Duke University Medical Center in

Durham, N.C. who helped me plant my feet toward a career in academic

medicine in the neurosciences, and without whose help I would have fallen

by the wayside. A superior gratitude to Festus M. Halay, M.D., F.A.C.S.,

Professor of Surgery and former Dean of the A. M. Dogliotti College of

Medicine, University of Liberia; Professor Halay has been one of my

staunchest supporters and a mentor in my endeavors and pursuits of

excellence in medicine and science. I can still hear his voice of admonition:

"Pylord, apply yourself". Thanks to Daniel J. Clauw, M.D., Professor of

Medicine and Orthopedics, and Chairman of the Department of

Rheumatology & Immunology at Georgetown University Medical Center; it

was Dr. Clauw who broke the viciously vicious cycle of hardship and a
difficult life for me in Washington, D.C. (only Dr. Clauw knows the

intimacy of that story). To Stefano Vicini, Ph.D., Professor of Physiology

and Biophysics at Georgetown University Medical Center; an excellent

scientist and teacher. Thank you, Dr. Vicini you were the "winds beneath my

wings” at some of the darkest moments of my life (you may not have

known, but I know). Thanks to Bill Clinton and to the late Abe Lincoln,

both former Presidents of the United States of America; these two persons

are part of the list of my unforgetable "heroes". The most superior of all

those I have acknowledged above is my grade school teacher, Ray

Youngren; ALL that I am today and all that I shall be tomorrow is due to the

"seeds" and foundation for excellence planted in my subconsciousness by

this American Missionary when I was a kid. Ray Youngren is truly my

"heroe" !

About the Author: Pylord P. Doe, M.D., was born in Liberia, West Africa,

of peasant parents. Although his father, the late Rev. James D. Doe, had

only a 10th grade education, Pylord was inspired by his daddy to pursue

higher education. Pylord attended grade school on a Mission Station

founded by a missionary, Osborn C. Arnes, from Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A.

Because his parents could not afford to pay for his education, Pylord had to

attend High School by mail from the American School then at Drexel
Avenue, 58th Street, Chicago, Illinois. He later graduated from the A.M.

Dogliotti College of Medicine of the University of Liberia, West Africa. At

the time of conception of this manuscript, Dr. Doe was a Fogarty Research

Fellow at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland (after a

Visiting Fellowship in the Department of Pediatric Neurology at Duke

University Medical Center in Durham, N.C.); he later went on to

Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. as a Research

Fellow in the Department of Physiology & Biophysics through the

sponsorship of Daniel J. Clauw, M.D. and Stefano Vicini, Ph.D. Dr. Doe

currently a Fellow in the

Department o9f Physiology and Biophysics at the University of Illinois in

Chicago, and resides in the Chicago Metro area.

Prediction: I am privileged to predict that the world's view about the United

States of America shall change drastically significantly when we have a

Democrat as president. Watch out for the Honorable Hilary Rhandom

Clinton, Yo! She's going to make world turn around in applaud to the

United States of America when she shall become President of the United

States of America! She shall become the (much needed) psychological

catalyst propelling the consciousness of those who hate this great

country[America] to love us like she (the U. S.A.) used to be loved in the

good old days (before 9/11, before the Talaban insurgence, before the era of

Osama Bin Ladin. Even Osama himself shall hail his people to STOP the

violence and hate against America and America's supporters of goodwill

throughout the world! Watch my word! In addition, Hilary Rhandom

Clinton shall become the most powerful instrument to bridging the gap in

the Middle East Crisis! Watch my word! The world shall forever remember

the historic events and peace that shall come over it [this world] during the

next Democratic leadership with the Honorable H. R. Clinton as President of

the United States of America. Watch my word!
