1.0 Introduction:
Student Entrepreneurship is a platform for students to recognize and utilize their skills in identifying
opportunities and creating innovation in business. This initiative is about students, their choices and
actions in starting, taking over or running a business. This will provide opportunity to students to
turn an idea into business or a business into success and will help them to build confidence to take
risk and taste the independence and self realization.
2.0 Objective:
The obective of this initiative is to develop entrepreneurial spirit among the students of the
!niversity. To achieve this following key elements are recognized as important"
#.1 To provide real world entrepreneurship e$posure to students.
#.# %nculcating professionalism in terms of responsibility towards one&s profession and
client handling.
#.' (reating a greater awareness of opportunities and benefits of entrepreneurship in
order to encourage more students to start a venture.
.0 Eli!ibility:
) Student who wants to initiate an entrepreneurship proect, hereinafter referred to as *romoter must
match the following eligibility criteria
'.1 *romoter must be a regular student of !niversity, registered in current term and is
not pursuing the last term of his+her current programme.
'.# ,o disciplinary action is taken ever against the student.
".0 Sub#ission of Proposal
-.1 The student.s/ will submit the proposal in 0ivision of Student )ffairs as per the format
provided in )nne$ure %.
-.# The proposal will be submitted along with the 1etter of consent 2 0eclaration .)nne$ure
%%/ by all students and partners, *arents (onsent 1etter .)nne$ure %%%/ signed by parent of
all students and current time table of all students.
$.0 Evaluation of project
3.1 0ivision of Student )ffairs will check the feasibility of the venture on following criteria
and will fill the 4easibility )nalysis Sheet .)nne$ure %5/.
3.1.1 !ni6ueness of idea in terms of concept, product, process, service and+or
price.
3.1.# 7perational feasibility of proect considering the re6uired manpower and
man hours.
3.1.' Economic feasibility considering the funds re6uired for initial investment and
variable costs proposed by *romoters.
3.1.- 1egal feasibility relevant to the proect.

8epresentative.s/ from 0ivision of Student )ffairs may take an interview of the
*romoter.s/. 9e+she+they may also ask student to show demonstration of proposal or provide
prototype of the business plan and+or a simple e$periment on same to udge the feasibility of
same.
3.# 0ivision of Student )ffairs if finds the venture worth considering will then send the
*roposal.)nne$ure %/ 2 4easibility )nalysis Sheet.)nne$ure %%/ .filled on relevant area/
to 0ivision of 5endors and (ontractors :anagement, who will evaluate the venture on
following criteria and fill the Evaluation Sheet.)nne$ure 5/"
3.#.1 8e6uirement of the product or service offered comparing with the product
and services already available in !niversity campus.
3.#.# )ppropriateness of offering considering the product or service, its 6uality
and its price comparing it with market standards.
3.#.' (ompetence of *romoters in handling proect considering their e$pertise and
e$posure.
8epresentative from 0ivision of 5endors 2 (ontractors :anagement may take an interview of
the *romoter. 9e+she may also ask student to show demonstration of proposal or provide
prototype of the business plan and+or a simple e$periment on same to udge the feasibility of
same.
3.' 7n the mutual consent of 0ivision of Student )ffairs and 0ivision of 5endors 2
(ontractors :anagement The proposal will then be reverted back to 0ivision of Student
)ffairs with appropriate remarks.
3.- 0ivision of Student )ffairs will then forward the proposal to 0ivision of (onstruction,
who after finding the proposal worth considering shall suggest suitable space.s/ in the
!niversity where the venture could be established. The proposal with remarks then will
be sent back to 0ivision of Student )ffairs.
3.3 0ivision of Student )ffairs, then if founds suitable will recommend the proposal and will
forward the same to 7ffice of *ro;(hancellor for approval.
3.< %f approved, an agreement shall be signed between the *romoter and !niversity
authorities. )greement for each proect shall be drafted separately by 0epartment of
1egal )ffairs as per the terms and conditions applicable to the proect. Sample agreement
is attached in )nne$ure 5%.
3.= )fter agreement is signed, the *romoter shall be provided space and the venture shall be
established.
%.0 &er#s and 'onditions
<.1 7nly students studying in regular courses of the university can participate in the
entrepreneurship proects. )n entrepreneurial venture can be started with minimum one
student member and a ma$imum of 3 student members.
<.# The duration+tenure of the proect will be si$ months or the end of ongoing term
whichever is earlier.
<.' )fter the completion of proect duration+tenure the said venture will have to be
surrendered to university. ) surrendered venture will be sold to interested student
entrepreneurs under the supervision of 0ivision of Student )ffairs or as deemed fit by the
university.
<.- )fter the completion of proect duration+tenure the said venture can be e$tended by
taking renewal from 0S) if the promoter.s/ is+ are still regular student.s/ of the
!niversity and if the performance of the proect is satisfactory on all standards.
<.3 Students are not allowed to skip classes for running the proect. )ny re6uest asking for
attendance compensation will not be entertained.
<.< !niversity is primarily concerned with the academic performance of the student, it is
mandatory for the student to maintain a minimum of 3 (>*) so as to continue with the
entrepreneurship venture.
<.= 7nly approved student.s/ will be allowed to look after the proect. 9owever anybody
other than the approved student found at proect premises may lead to cancellation of the
proect or appropriate disciplinary action.
<.? )n amount e6uivalent to 1.3 times of monthly rent should be deposited as refundable
security.
<.@ )ll dues and rent for the resources should be paid on or before =

<.10 %f student does not pay the rent after last day of the month then the total amount payable
will be #.3times the monthly rent.
<.11 %t should be noted that allocated space can be changed anytime at university&s discretion
without assigning any reason whatsoever.
<.1# %n any case students are not allowed to promote their ventures in classrooms+labs+hostel
etc or by putting banners, fle$es, announcements posters etc. anywhere in the university
premises.
<.1' %f the student consumes university resources like electricity, water etc. payments against
the same should be paid in accordance with the applicable+prevailing rates or rates as
decided by the university.
7.0 (niversity )unded projects
=.1 !niversity endeavors to support budding entrepreneurs by providing consultation
and financial support.
=.# !niversity may provide up to 30A of the total initial fund re6uired for the venture as
loan, subect to an amount not e$ceeding 8s. #0,000 per proect. ) part of profit, in
lieu with the fund provided, decided by 0ivision of Student )ffairs, shall be
submitted by solicitor party in !niversity account every month.
=.' The Steps for getting fund from !niversity are"
=.'.1 The amount may be re6uested in the form named C8e6uest for funding a
Student Entrepreneurship *roect& attached at )nne$ure 5%% that would
be submitted along with the proposal.
=.'.# )ppropriate remarks recommending the allocation of funds from
0ivision of Student )ffairs shall be incorporated and the re6uest shall
be forwarded to 7ffice of *ro;(hancellor for approval.
=.'.' %f approved, funds will be transferred to account of Student
=.- The funds must be returned as per the stated plan in the 4und 8e6uest form, failing
which may lead to closure of venture.
*.0 E+it Policy
?.1 The *romoters shall have to intimate 0ivision of Student )ffairs if they want to e$it an
entrepreneurial venture by filling the form provided in )nne$ure 5%%%.
?.# The venture shall be either closed down or auctioned by 0ivision by taking appropriate
recommendations from 0ivision of 5endors :anagement.
,.0 -onitorin! and Supervision:
@.1 :onitoring 2 *eriodic 8eports" :onitoring of Entrepreneurship proects will be done by
the 0ivision of 5endor :anagement. The maor responsibilities in this respect will be as
follows"
@.1.1 :onitoring of the proect in terms of cleanness, conduct and availability of
items .available items must match the item list as per the proposal/ with their
prices.
@.1.# )ppraisal should be done on weekly and monthly basis to check the
effectiveness of proect. These appraisals can be then used as a feedback for
further e$tension of proects.
@.1.' (hecking the 6uantity and 6uality of the products.
@.# )udit of )ccounts"
@.#.1 )udit will be done of university funded proects only. This protocol will
check the cash flow of the proect. )n internal auditor nominated by
0epartment of )ccounts will audit the accounts.
@.' 0isputes 2 >rievances"
@.'.1 )ll the disputes and grievances from the customers, client or the entrepreneur
will be entertained by Student 7rganization (ell, 0ivision of Student )ffairs.
%t is mandatory for all entrepreneurs to display the contact details of

line to be established.
o (oncern authorities want to evacuate the space for any reason not mentioned in the list.
