Friars due to the failure of Blanco
to convice Rizal to stop all

Rizal remembered his life in Spain
whilst reading Paciano's letter.

Another letter came for Rizal, this
time from a past lover, Leonor
Rivera. It is about her arranged
marriage with an American.

Taviel told Rizal how he should
not become like Simon, just like
how Ibarra changed to the
dangerous Simon.

A scene in El Filibusterismo was
shown where a Spaniard filled
house had a bomb that failed to
explode. Another scene was also
shown where Simon was killed.

Rizal's trial was set, and Josephine
Bracken and her mother were
there. Officer Taviel defended
how Rizal is not against Spain, but
wants reformation.

Rizal defended himself to the jury.
He also told them of his desire for
the Filipinos to have good
education.

Rizal and Simon met. Simon asked
Rizal to change the story and
keep him alive in El Filibisterismo.

Rizal rewrote his novel and
changed Simon's fate for the last
