Se trata de un grupo de individuos cuya
composicin gentica determina que posean
caractersticas fenotpicas, productivas y
reproductivas comunes que los distinguen de
otros de su especie.
BIOTIPOS PRODUCTORES DE CARNE
RAZAS VERSUS CRUZAS
RAZAS: Estn formadas por conjuntos de
animales que tienen determinada funcin
productiva y se distinguen principalmente por
caractersticas fenotpicas de forma y color, pero
tambin se tienen en cuenta caractersticas
productivas.
CRUZAS
Producto obtenido del apareamiento entre dos
razas diferentes (F1)
Existen diferentes tipos de cruzamientos,
rotativos, industriales o terminales, etc.
Buscan explotar el Vigor Hbrido y la
Complementariedad entre razas, de aquellas
caractersticas que puedan ser consideradas
importantes productivamente.
