LUTHERAN WORLD RELIEF Teach a person to sew and youve given them tools they can use to earn an income, support their family, and break out of poverty. Many of the thousands of Fabric Kits Lutheran World Relief distributes are used in vocational training programs to teach young men and women useful and marketable sewing skills. Include the following items in each Fabric Kit: Two pieces of cotton or cotton-blend fabric (no knits or 100% polyester). Each piece should measure 2 yds of 60 fabric OR 3 yds of 44 fabric OR 4 yds of 36 fabric. Two spools of neutral-colored, general purpose thread, 250-300 yards each Fabric should have no stains or holes. Pieces do not need to match in size or color/pattern. Fold thread and one piece of fabric inside second fabric piece and tie with yarn, sturdy string, ribbon or a strip of fabric. Please do not donate items with any religious symbols, messages or your congregations name. Please do not donate any items decorated with a U.S. flag, patriotic or military symbols, or references to the armed forces, including camouflage. Do not enclose the kit or any of its contents in plastic bags. Look for the aluminum washtub in the west hall for collection of the kits. WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

Dear St. Johns Benefaction Board: Words can never express my sincere gratitude for the generous funding received from St. Johns Benefaction Board. This is a huge blessing for the S.M.I.L.E. program to continue Gods ministry in helping families with special needs children and adults.
God continues to find helping hands to meet the growing interest and need of Recreational Horse Therapy. Please drop in this summer and see firsthand the smiles on the riders, parents and caregivers faces. Thank you again for being on the S.M.I.L.E. team and providing a much needed service for our community and surrounding communities.
Gods Blessings in your work to help others. Very Grateful, Patty Prauner, Program Director
