Unit 2 Task 2

With the fund I have been given I need to equip and buy equipment suitable for what I am trying to
do. Firstly I will need cameras, lighting equipment, microphones, camera mounts, audio systems,
lighting, editing equipment etc.
Cameras
XDCAM EX - New Generation Solid State Recording System x 3 = 12,485 ex VAT.
I have picked these 3 cameras because they are top of the range cameras and one of the best quality cameras
which will make my quality of film look a lot better, I have picked 3 because this will enable me to film from
multiple angles and more of a variety of shots at a quicker time than just using one camera. This camera has
exceptional HD picture quality and state of the art work flow from a compact and affordable handheld camcorder.

Lenses
Fujinon Exceed XA20sx8.5BRM 2/3" HD Lens x 3 = 5,685 ex VAT
I have picked 3 of these lenses because this will improve the quality of what I have filmed so it will look as good
as possible. This will add great quality to my footage people will look at it in better perspective. Also the price is
good and this doesnt deflate my budget to much at 5685. This would be purchased from videogear.co.uk
Tripods

I have chosen 3 of these tripods, I will need 3 as I have 3 cameras and I will need them to improve the stability
and quality of my footage, these tripods will enable me to improve the quality in my filming and keep the shot
steady. Its maximum height is 165cm tall with the minimum height of being 44.5cm tall. It can hold up to 14kg in
weight meaning my cameras will be able to fit perfectly fine.
Lighting

At 3414 for 2 lighting kits this will be all I need to start off with for lighting equipment, it includes a vast array of
equipment and requires me to make better and capture better footage with this lighting equipment. And with 2
lots of this equipment, I will have more than enough.
Tracks
Cambo 5m Uni Track System with Flight Case x 4 = 13,608
The tracks allow me to shoot in a variety of ways and enables me to do a varietyof scenes, so with the tracks I
can now do action shots and make it look dramatic and action packed, I have purchased 4 of these so I have
20m of tracks to start of with I find enough to start of with. This enables me to use different routes of filming, that
being straight and curved tracks which enables me to capture of exilleration of a my footage when needed,
Editing
Blackmagic Design Decklink 4K x 1 = 371.31
This is a capture card which will enable me to capture footage in 4k. this will enable me to capture the best
footage possible in the best quality which will help me in my editing.
Blackmagic Design Multibridge Eclipse x 1 = 1490.10
This is the most sophisticated editing system available with a massive number of video and audio connections.
This software will enable me to download in the best quality available and make my final work look even better
with this powerful editing system. Editing is essential to work I do as however I edit it makes it what it is, so ni
need the best software performance possible to get the bet end results.
Microphone Equipment
Gitzo 6-Section Series 3 Basalt Boom x 2 = 261
This is a pole for my boom microphone which I will use when filming to make sound clearer, the pole allows me to
reach better lengths and hold it up. I have picked 2 because im getting 2 boom microhpones.
Sennheiser ME66/K6 with Rycote softie and pistol grip x 2 = 798
This is the microphone I have chosen for when I film. I am using boom poles then will attach these microhpones
to it. This will improve the voice quality and the footage I film.
