BIRD WATCHING
The activity of watching birds, especially in order to find unusual or
rare types. The idea of bird watching may seem simple enough, but
there is much more to it than just watching birds. Every bird watcher
can enjoy this hobby in their own way, but many bird watchers:
Watch: Observe birds, not only just to see them, but to
appreciate learn about their behavior. Watching may be just using
the eyes, using binoculars.
Listen: Birding by ear is part of bird watching, even without the
eyes being involved. Listening to birds means hearing their unique
calls and songs, as well as the whistle of a dove's wings.
Attract: Attracting birds can be even more rewarding than just
watching them, and the more birds you attract, the more you can
watch. Meeting birds' basic needs for food, water, shelter, and
nesting sites will ensure they find your backyard a wonderful
place to be seen.
Feed: Many bird watchers attract birds to watch by feeding.
Offering a range of bird feeders and bird-friendly plants such
as seed-bearing flowers or crabapple trees gives birds reason to
stay in visual range. Suet feeders and nectar feeders are
other popular feeders for watching feeding birds.

Interesting habits that we observed
during this project

We saw many doves from the spot some were drinking water
from canal, some were singing and speaking with each other,
some were finding food for self, and we interested when we
saw the doves they were visit the area round and round. We
saw two doves which were fighting with help their feathers,
we saw two doves on a tree and their attentions were to their
feed, to the sandwich which was thrown by a boy. One of them
come to ground and return to same tree and divide sandwich
into two unequal parts then both tighten sandwich in their
feet then they flight away.

Interesting habitats that we
observed during this project
The dove is a characteristic edge species, occurring in largest
densities in pine plantations, shelter belts, and fence rows.
They also are found in residential settings where they make
their nests in ornamental trees and on buildings. They prefer
open areas for feeding where seed can be found on bare
ground and the also like to be near a water source such as a
stream, pond, or river. In recent times there seems to be a
movement of dove populations from farmlands to suburban
areas. Doves seem to thrive on back yard feeders and also
seem to like to build nests on or very close to human
habitation. It almost seems like they believe being close to
humans offers some protection from their natural predators.
Once pair of doves has located a nest site, they will construct
a nest made of twigs and sticks in a tree or sometimes on the
ground. As mentioned above, a nest is often made in flower
plots or planters on the patios, decks, porches, and balconies
of human residences. Doves often look for nest sites that
have over hanging roofs, both to protect them from the
weather and to keep the nests out of the sight of high flying
birds such as crows or hawks.

Conclusion
We learn about dove is that it has a lifespan of 15-33 years,
they can fly up to 40-50 miles per hour in a day 600 miles,
they lay eggs 4-5 time per year, until baby doves learn how
eat food the parent feeds them milk that is called crop plant
and the babies use their nose as a straw for sucking the milk.
They can fight and they can speak.
