Encourage one another daily, as long as it is
called Today, so that none of you may be hard-
ened by sin's deceitfulness. Heb 3:13 NIV
Use these tools PERSONALLY to grow as a
disciple. Then use these tools in your FAMILY
devotions, with TRUSTED ENCOURAGEMENT
PARTNERS, in BIBLE STUDY GROUPS and
MINISTRY TEAMS.
When you join your brothers and sisters in
Christ each week to worship, come as a disciple
who is prepared to offer sacrifices of prayer and
praise and as someone ready to share the Good
News of Gods Word so you can love and en-
courage others!
Confess your sins to each other and pray for
each other so that you may be healed. The
prayer of a righteous person is powerful and
effective. Jas 5:16 NIV
Pray together. Help each other forsake sin, over-
come spiritual roadblocks, and enjoy life in
Christ!
Then go in Gods Armor as our Lord did and
engage the world God loves (John 3:16)! Help
others use these concepts to Discover God
through His Word and follow Christ for them-
selves!

I'm building my life? (Mt 7:24)

2. Turn - Follow: Am I repenting (turning 180 degrees)
daily from sin and daily following Jesus Christ my Lord and
God to be identified with Him? (Gal. 2:20)

3. Baptized: Am I rejoicing in Gods mercy through Jesus
Christ? (Justification, Adoption, New Birth) (I Pet. 1:3-6)

4. Faith at Work: Am I walking worthy of the Gospel of
Christ, putting off the old way of life and putting on the
new way of living in Christ's power? (Col. 3:12)

5. Love at Work: Are the Spirit of God and Word of
God filling me daily and transforming my attitudes and
actions (Teaching, Singing, Thanking, Submitting) in every
relationship (W:H,C:F.S:M,I:O,C:A)? (Col. 3:16; Eph. 5:21)

6. Hope at Work: Am I standing and resisting the work
of evil, watching and praying for the kingdom of God to
come anew? Am I putting on the full armor of God, con-
sciously engaging in spiritual warfare through prayer and
action as Christ did? (Eph. 6:10-18)

7. New Family: Am I living the new life in fellowship
with Gods people (large group, household, encourage-
ment partners, and ministry teams) and faithfully 1) medi-
tating on Gods Word 2) lifting up sacrifices of prayer and
praise 3) witnessing in word and deed 4) with Jesus as my
example of service and suffering? (1 Peter 1-2)

8. New Worship: Who am I encouraging to grow in
Christ and take their place as a "Living Stone" in Christ's
New Temple? (Communion) (Heb 3:13)

9. New Witness: Am I helping people discover the full
truth about Jesus through Word and Deed that I have
received so others will not spend eternity apart from
Him? (Matt 22:37-40; 28:18-20)

Putting on Christ
Engaging The World God Loves

GO - In Luke 10 Jesus shows His followers how they should
go and make disciples (Mt. 28:18-20):
- Pray for God to raise up new workers from those we
meet. (Lk. 10:2)
- Go trusting God - we are to be like sheep relying on our
Shepherd. (Lk 10:3; Ps. 23)
- Have something to share! From your time in Gods
word [R.E.A.P.ing], (Col. 3:16)
- Test for interest by sharing - are they open to hearing
about God? (Lk 10:5; Dt. 6:4-9).
- Serve in Christs Name to gain a hearing (Lk. 10:9). Con-
sider finding intentional ways to connect to people who are
far from God. (Lk. 14:23)
- Goal: Help them R.E.A.P. & P.R.A.Y. (Jn. 6:44-45) so they
too may learn to follow Jesus Christ!

S.O.W. - To S.O.W. is to be a Sharer of the Word
and a Servant of our World. Gods own kindness to us
(Titus 3:4) is our pattern, motivation, and our power source
behind our sharing and serving for Christ in the world! We
do for others in Word and Deed what God has done for us
already! (James 1:17).

Ways God calls us to SHARE and SERVE following HIS pat-
tern:
- Doing Good (Ac. 10:38 | Gal. 6:10)
- Sharing Our Bread (Mk. 2:15-17; 6:30-44 | Mt. 25:35;
Rom. 12:20)
- Opening Our Home (Dt. 26:5-10 | Mt. 25:35; 1 Tim. 3:2;
Heb. 13:2)
- Visiting and Remembering (Ex. 3:7-10 | Mt. 25:36; Eph.
1:15-19; Jas. 1:27)
- Healing and Comforting (Lk 5:12-13 | Mt. 25:36; Jas.
5:14-16)
- Proclaiming the Gospel (Lk 4:16-21 | Lk. 10:9; Ac. 20:21)
- Forgiving and Reconciling (Rom. 3:25-26 | Mt. 5:7,9;
Eph. 4:32)
- Making Disciples (Mt. 10:1ff | Mt. 28:18-20)
- Ransoming Captives (Jer. 30:8-24 | Prov. 24:11; Is. 58:6)
- Reigning (Phil. 2:5-11 | Gen. 1:28; Mt. 5: 13-16; 20:25-28;
Rev. 1:4-6; 3:19-22)

Note: When you meet with others for encouragement ask
one another who you plan to SHARE Gods Word with or
SERVE, then follow up next time to see how that went
Go & S.O.W.
Meditating on Gods Word

Clear your mind by identifying what youre THANKFUL FOR and
whats STRESSING YOU OUT at the moment. Pray about both! In a
group setting see how you can help meet needs expressed!
READ/RECORD Read or listen to a portion of Gods Word
daily. Record key verses that stand out or all of short passages
(5 or 10 verses) to help you focus on what is being said.
EXAMINE Write down what it tells us about GOD or JESUS
and/or about PEOPLE. Then summarize it in your OWN
WORDS.
APPLY - Write down any of these you notice to help do the
word: SINS to avoid, PROMISES to claim, PRAISES to give,
PRAYERS to pray, EXAMPLES to follow or avoid, COMMANDS
to obey, or KNOWLEDGE to help you love God or your
Neighbor better.
Answer this question: In light of Gods Word today, I WILL
___________ Your answer should be SPECIFIC, MEASUR-
ABLE, ATTAINABLE, and REALISTIC within a TIMEFRAME of
24 -48 hours. Example: I will love my wife more by helping
with the dishes starting tonight after supper.
PRAY/P.R.A.Y. Turn what youve studied into a PRAYER
based on Gods Word! Think P.R.A.Y.:
- Praise and Thanksgiving
- Reflection, Repentance, and Returning to Jesus Christ
- Asking, Seeking, and Knocking not only for personal needs
but for Christs Kingdom (Mt. 6:10; 7:7; Lk. 10:2)
- Yes, I Will! asking Gods help to obey His Word today
(Jas. 1:22)
Note: You can use the R.E.A.P. & P.R.A.Y. process for your
personal devotion or group and family Bible discussions. You are
especially encouraged to use it orally with people who are not
yet Christians to help them learn to Discover God in His Word
and follow Christ for themselves.
