Alrighty. First off- I love my companion. This week especially, I cant explain why but shes great.

We
work so great together. Shes an amazing companion. Yes. :) And second off- I love love love being a
missionary!!! D&C 18 is so true. Dang. Ah. I can't express the true joy it is!!
So last P-day we went to the art exhibit, Sacred Gifts, and wow. The paintings are all so beautiful!! I
could definitely feel the spirit there! And some of them we've all seen at church, but in person, the real
life ones are breathe taking!!! So much greater than just the printed copy! Our Savior is incredible. I
dont even know what to say, but yeah, I'm so happy I got to go see that! Also P-day just my companion
and I played volleyball, and golly it was so fun. Ha-ha it wasn't a game but she is sporty too, and I love
sports, and we both know how to play, so yeah it was fun :) and of course the temple was amazing as
always, and I love seeing Michelle on main campus for lunch every Thursday :) I only have one more
time to see her!!
Friday was just normal, besides the fact that it POURED really really hard. But I used my rain coat :) hee-
hee :) It was fun!
Saturday I re-jammed the same finger I jammed last time doing the same thing- four square. Four square
is crazy. Ha-ha but so fun! So yeah, it was worse this time, but its better now, but I can play basketball
right handed now because I couldnt use my left hand! I am actually pretty decent with my right hand!!
like...better than my left! What? Yep. Pretty cool ha-ha... also all Saturday I was thinking about how
much I love to pray! At the MTC we pray so so much, and its so fantastic! Praying with your companion,
praying with your district, praying with your zone, praying with your investigators and personal prayers,
and all several times a day!! Praying is our chance to talk to our Heavenly Father, and he listens to us!
Praying really brings the spirit :)
Sunday was Mother's Day! YAY! That was great! Relief Society we talked about our mothers and how
theyve helped us, and how missions will prepare us to be better missionaries, and yeah, it was great!
And then talking to my parents! YEAH!!! I love my parents so so much! Im so glad we got to talk to
them! I was late, for fifteen minutes everyone was talking to their families but me because I was having
technical difficulties and no one could help...but I eventually got it to work, and yeah. I love my parents!!
:)
Monday was interesting.... so my companion has been feeling nausea after every meal so we went to
main campus to the doctor finally, and so since we were there I got a checkup too, apparently I have a
cold. What? I feel fine, I mean, I didnt feel all my best, but I dont feel like I have a cold. But I guess I do,
but my companion has stuff wrong, but she has medicine now, so its all good, but yeah going there took
so long! and on our bus ride home something was wrong with the brakes, so the bus driver went to BYU
campus, and left us in the bus, just us 2 alone, with the keys in the ignition, and the doors open, and he
just left us for ten or fifteen minutes to go research... it was like..um okay. But yeah it was fun. We
couldve totally stolen the bus. But I guess bus drivers trust missionaries :) so a 3 minute bus ride was a
30 minute bus ride! Later that night we got to teach someone through Skype! A sister from Costa Rica! It
was fun! But Skype is hard to understand people in English, so trying to understand Spanish over Skype
was kind of a joke...but we bore our testimonies and she seemed to like it. Ha-ha but yea it was fun.
Then walking home-best part of the day- walking back over to Raintree, there was a group of 7 elders
whistling hymns. I cant even explain how cool it was! They were the 7 dwarves!!! It felt like for real
Disney! they were walking together whistling hymns, but they sounded like birds, and the whistling was
harmonized and one was trilling and totally sounding like a bird and idk, but yeah...we happened to walk
behind them and it was really fun to listen:)
Tuesday-----yet another apostle ;) ha-ha-ha an apostle every week!! No joke!! It was L. Tom Perry, it was
really great :) He talked about the importance of companions, and then about how to teach, it was really
good!
Wednesday, WOOHOO! NEW MISSIONARIES!! So yeah, I got to be a host, so I got to welcome people off
the bus! Including...drum roll please... my roommate and one of my best friends, Katelynn Wilson!!
AHHH I love her so much!! I was her host so I took her to her room and carried her bags and all that
jazz, but yeah, I see her at every meal too.... Im so happy she's here :) I just love her :) I dont have a
picture, but she does! I'll have to get it from her, or take one when we're together again... ALSO Austin
Carely I saw right off the bus, one of my good friends from BYUI! ANNNND he's in my zone!!!! What?
Crazy! But yeah! Its really fun to see him too! And yeah, so we have a new district in our zone finally,
Im so happy! 4 elders and 4 hermanas....one is from Africa! He's so cool! He already knows 3 languages,
and now is learning Spanish! Hes going to Alabama, but yeah, idk how to say his name, but he's grown
up in Africa his whole life! Everyone else is from Utah or Idaho ha-ha but yeah it was cool to have some
diversity! :) And as the sister training leaders, Hermana Crowther and I got to do orientation with them
and give them the tour of campus and all, it was fun:) its so nice to not be a loner district anymore, even
if we leave in a week ha-ha

Okay, and also Wednesday I had the COOLEST experience of my mission yet. I loved Wednesday! In class
we studied the attributes of Christ, and we all really wanted to work on Charity, the pure love of Christ.-
HIS love, not our own, but the pure love OF Christ. We just need to reflect that love to others, because
we can't make charity ourselves. So yeah, after that lesson, on Wednesday night we had the opportunity
to teach one of our new investigators, who actually is a member, but a less active, he hasn't gone to
church in a really long time, and he felt like he couldnt, he's depressed, and feels unworthy to even pray
to Christ, he has so much guilt in his life, hes just, really really depressed.. We taught about the
atonement; I have never felt so much love for someone than that night; it truly was not my own. The
spirit was SO strong in that lesson, and I knew that our Savior Jesus Christ knew our investigator's pain,
and LOVED him so so much. I felt so humbled and grateful to be able to feel that true love of Christ- true
charity. I want to feel that way for every investigator that we teach. I felt like my heart could not fit all
of it in, it just wanted to burst open. I couldn't stop crying in that lesson, it was so spiritual and amazing.
And our investigator could feel it too! He said this was the first time in years he felt hope and felt love.
Speaking the words that I cant even remember, completely being led by the spirit, wow. Its incredible.
And all in Spanish! Everything flowed, and I was able to promise him that if he started reading everyday
he would start to Feel Gods love again in his life, and he was so excited to do that. He wants to change.
To see that change of heart, wow. That was the very best experience I have never felt before. Doctrine &
Covenants 18:10 - our entire lesson focused on that scripture, well D&C 18: 10-13. Its exactly what our
investigator needed to hear.
I know that God is our Father, and Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer, and they both love us more
than we can even imagine. That night made me realize why I was a missionary, and it truly is the
greatest joy! I can't wait to teach the people of Mexico, and to feel that love for them, Christ's love for
them!
I love you all so much! I hope you all have a great week! -Hermana Davis :)
