Scholarships are the Australian Governments flagship investment in Maldives and are designed to build both government and non-government sector capacity in bilaterally agreed sectors and to build people-to-people linkages at the individual, institutional and country levels.
Development Awards are administered by the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) and align with Australias development assistance in Maldives, targeting human resource gaps in priority sectors.
