Dear Potential Supporter:

On behalf of the Natalie Williams Breast Care Foundation, I am writing to you to request your nancial
support for the 2014 Bustier Brunch - An Afternoon with the Girls. This annual fundraising event will be
held on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at the historic Howard Theatre, from 11:00am-2:00pm. We are pleased to
welcome Ms. Lynn Whiteld, Award-Winning Actress as this years keynote speaker and Ms. Shawn Yancy,
Veteran News Journalist/Fox 5 DC, as our Mistress of Ceremony

Women of color are dying from breast cancer in disproportionate numbers because of the barriers they
face while ghting the disease. In an efort to close this disparity gap, the Natalie Williams Breast Care
Foundation (NWBCF) was founded to promote breast care awareness among women of color with a
specic focus on the breast cancer disease and early detection, and the overall promotion of healthy
breast care. Our eforts are targeted in the African American, Latino, Hispanic, African, and Caribbean
communities. We are registered in the District of Columbia as a non-prot organization 501c3.

Your support of this event helps to further our Test My Breasts citywide campaign. Our campaign is
targeted specically in urban communities across the Washington DC Metropolitan area. We partner with
local hospitals and health agencies that provide the best testing and follow up care for women 40 and over.
Our goal is to screen thousands of women of color for breast cancer through the month of October which
is recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Attached you will nd detailed information which highlights various levels in which you may contribute.
Should you agree, I ask that you return the ofcial sponsorship form, your companys logo, and your
sponsorship in accordance with the deadlines and guidelines that have been established.

I sincerely hope that you will see this as a wonderful opportunity and act favorably upon our request.
Together, we can make a diference in the lives of women. If you have further questions, please do not
hesitate to call me directly. I can be reached at (202) 904-9466 or via email at info@supportbreastcare.org.

Thank you for your consideration and support of the Natalie Williams Breast Care Foundation.

DID YOU KNOW... The average woman facing breast cancer will have to pay over $20,000
in out-of-pocket medical expenses. If shes isnt like most people in this country, she wasnt prepared for that
kind of nancial burden. As a community partner, you may be wondering what you can do to help and how
monies are being used. This year our goal is to raise $75,000.00, which will allow us to provide opportunities
for mammogram testing; purchase of wigs for women undergoing cancer treatment; and to award
scholarships to women undergoing treatment which will assist them with medical/personal expenses.

ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION
The Natalie Williams Breast Care Foundation (NWBCF), founded
in January 2013, is the leading voice in the promotion of breast care
awareness among women of color.
We focus specically on the breast cancer disease and early detection,
and the overall promotion of healthy breast care. Our eforts are
targeted in the African American, Latino, Hispanic, African, and
Caribbean communities across the globe.
The NWBCF organization is governed by an elected Board of Directors,
which is comprised of survivors and supporters of breast cancer.
We are supported by a medical advisory team of doctors
and nurses who practice in the areas of breast surgery,
oncology, radiology and healthy living with practices
at Howard University Hospital, United Medical Center,
and George Washington University Hospital.
NWBCF was founded following Ms. Williams journey
with breast cancer at the age of 41. After being
diagnosed in July of 2012, she underwent a double
mastectomy, chemotherapy, and radiation in an
efort to combat the disease. Today, she attributes
her remission to an increased awareness of the risk
factors of breast cancer and her continued focus on
a healthy mind, body, and spirit.
In October 2013, The Council of the District
of Columbia named October 2nd The Natalie
Williams Breast Care Awareness Day for Women of
Color.
