Domain 1: Planning
Prerequisite Knowledge of Content: Teacher displays deep knowledge of content,
content pedagogy, students, and needed differentiation/accommodations. Objectives: Instructional outcomes
represent important learning suitable to all students. Designing Effective Instruction: Elements of the
instructional design, including the assessments, are aligned to learning objectives. Lesson structure is clear
and coherent, anticipates student difficulties, shows high expectations reinforced through assessments.

Domain 2: Management

Persona and Relationships: Teacher is warm but authoritative, aware, and responsive to classroom
environment. Expectations for student learning are high and interactions among teacher/students,
student/student are respectful. Management: Teacher is a no-- nonsense nurturer who possesses strong
voice, effectively implements BMC, and manages classroom space effectively through high expectations and
attending to details Routines and Procedures: Teacher has created student pride in work and has clear
routines and procedures that are understood and implemented by both teacher and students. .

Questioning and Discussion: Teacher uses a variety of low and high level, open-- ended, text-- and task-
