Objectives: Instructional outcomes represent important learning suitable to all students. Designing Effective Instruction: Elements of the instructional design, including the assessments, are aligned to learning objectives. Lesson structure is clear and coherent, anticipates student difficulties, shows high expectations reinforced through assessments.

Persona and Relationships: Teacher is warm but authoritative, aware, and responsive to classroom environment. Expectations for student learning are high and interactions among teacher/students, student/student are respectful. Management: Teacher is a no-- nonsense nurturer who possesses strong voice, effectively implements BMC, and manages classroom space effectively through high expectations and attending to details Routines and Procedures: Teacher has created student pride in work and has clear routines and procedures that are understood and implemented by both teacher and students. . U U+ B-- B B+ Domain 3: Instruction Questioning and Discussion: Teacher uses a variety of low and high level, open-- ended, text-- and task- - dependent questions that promote student thinking and understanding. Engagement: Teacher uses a variety of engagement strategies that promote rigorous discourse. Assessment: Teacher frequently checks for understanding, collects a wide variety of formative and summative data, is responsive to data, makes accommodations and differentiates as appropriate. Professionalism: Teacher's demeanor is professional. Teacher displays efficient and effective work habits that are an overall asset to the school community.
