manufacturers. Using Nu Flows nondestructive, patented technology, this licensee prevented any business

manufacturing plant.
Customer: One of the largest automotive
manufacturers and exporters in the world, as well
as one of the ffteen largest companies in the world
by revenue. This company has been its market
leader in South Africa since 1981.
Site: The automotive companys manufacturing
plant in Durban, South Africa.
System: Earthenware sewer pipes with a 160mm
(6") diameter, located 5 meters below tarred
surfaces alongside the offce block and production
plants. The rehabilitated pipes totaled to 266 meters
(873 feet) length.
Problem: These drain pipes experienced common
failures, and the production plants facility manager
decided to search for a long-term solution. A
traditional pipe repair option, most commonly the
repipe, would consist of excavating a 5-meter-deep
trench along the tarred surfaces, which would cause
major disruptions to the plants 24 hour operations.
A traditional repipe would also have taken weeks of
work and would have been much more expensive
than Nu Flows solution.
Solution: Ganga Plumbers, a licensee from Nu Flows international partner in South Africa, installed a pipe lining
solution for this automotive manufacturing plant that did not cause any disruptions to operations. After thoroughly
cleaning the inside of the sewer pipes to bring them back to their original diameter, the technicians used existing
access points to install the patented Nu Drain system. This epoxy-soaked structural liner with an internal bladder
was inserted into the pipes using a Pull-in-Place process. Once in place, the bladder infated and the liner was left
to cure. Within a few hours, the bladder was removed, leaving a new, seamless pipe-within-a-pipe. This protective
liner will prevent cracks, backups and other common failures found in sanitary systems.
