expectations; for these reasons we are leader in valve
actuation technology. RT Series is a complete range of
pneumatic and hydraulic quarter turn actuators with materials
selected to withstand the most hostile environment conditions,
suitable for all Onshore and Offshore applications, covering
the general On-Off valve and Modulating Control Valve duties.
RT Series is designed to provide maximum reliability
and flexibility to cover a wide range of valves in all pressure
classes, with a full range of STIs accessories and control
Reliable
Rugged carbon steel housing and high-
strength alloy steel scotch-yoke ensure
safe and reliable operation. Heavy-duty
nickel or chrome plated cylinder. Housing
is not under pressure, reducing points
of leakage and simplifying maintenance.
For spring return, cylinder seals can be
replaced safely without spring removal.
Strong
The housing, although watertight,
is coated internally for long-lasting
corrosion resistance. Stainless
Steel travel stops allow fine stroke
adjustment between 82 and 98.

Compact
Designed to provide high torque
with minimum space and weight.
Symmetric or canted scotch-yoke
for ideal torque distribution.
Spring package, if present,
is installed inside the cylinder.
Safe
Available in double-acting and spring
return. Several spring packages are
available to provide required spring rates.
Maximum safety is ensured by design
of spring packs being spring compression
is independent from removal of cylinder
cap and tie rods.

Optional features
Manual Override
An integral or declutchable manual hand wheel is available as option
for RTC series. A single hand wheel is supplied for spring return units;
double acting unit will be supplied with an hand wheel at each end for
manual operation in either direction.
Locking device to avoid unauthorized actuator operations is available.
Hydraulic override is available as option.
Control System & Accessories
Control system
STI designs and produces a wide range of accessories
and control systems to ensure superior performances and
satisfy the most demanding requirements in modulating,
on/off and heavy duty service.
Control systems panels/cabinets can be installed
on the actuators or supplied loose for remote mounting
i.e. for easy access and limit exposure to excess heat
and vibrations.
