CEM has been working in the field of Electromagnetic Interference and Compatibility since 1983. CEM is a National Facility for Advanced Research and Development in Electromagnetic Interference and Compatibility (EMI/EMC). Advantage SAMEER-CEM : The CEM has grown progressively in the last three decades both in its activities and customer base. Equipped with the latest and state-of-the-art test and measurement facilities, the centre has emerged as the leader in the EMC services in the country. The facilities are maintained and upgraded regularly to meet the requirements of the latest national/international standards. The centre also offers calibration service traceable to National and International Standards, following ISO/IEC 17025 guidelines & is capable of calibrating various EMI/EMC test equipment and accessories like Test Receivers, ESD & CS test Generators, CRF test systems, RF Power Amplifiers, Antennae, LISN, CDNs, Attenuators, Directional Coupler, etc. Calibration lab can also carryout Site attenuation and Shielding effectiveness measurements. The EMI/EMC Test & Measurement and the Calibration Facilities at the centre is National Accreditation Board for Testing and International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) and Asia Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (APLAC) MRA. The facilities at the CEM are being utilized by various international certifying agencies such as Canadian Standards Association (CSA), Federal Communications Commission (FCC), TV Rheinland, TV SD, Intertek, Det Norske Veritas (DNV), Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL), Intertek, etc who use the test and measurement facilities for the certifications. Considering the contributions in the area of EMC, the International Association for Radio, Telecommunications and Electromagnetics (iNARTE) has recognized CEM as the iNARTE EMC and ESD Certification Test Center. The TEC has appointed the centre as the conformance assessment body for approving the telecom products in India. The centre rather than test laboratory is a research organization making contributions in the area of EMI/EMC. Numerous papers have published by the centre at various peer journals as well as national / international conferences. 10 m Shielded Semi Anechoic Chamber Conducted Susceptibility Laboratory MIL Std. ABOUT THE WORKSHOP If you are a design engineer, it pays to understand EMI/EMC, know how and why EMI testing is conducted, as well as the typical causes of failure and mitigation techniques. If you are an electronics engineer, you will need to know why EMI testing is done, how it is conducted, and what the typical failures are, even if a special department or an outside EMI laboratory does the actual testing. This course gives you the information you need like test method design considerations, debugging and mitigation techniques, etc. Various test setups and facilities at SAMEER-CEM will be demonstrated during the programme. SAMEER-CEM has been conducting EMI/EMC workshops and training programmes which is highly appreciated and sought after in the industry circle. WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
