HENRY SCHEIN PARTNERS WITH THE DUTCH DENTAL ASSOCIATION TO
PROMOTE IMPORTANCE OF ORAL CARE

Company supports the NMT Oral Health Funds work to promote the connection between oral
health and overall health and advance oral health care in the Netherlands

Almere, 27 May 2014 Henry Schein announced today its partnership with the Nederlandse
Maatschappij tot bevordering der Tandheelkunde (NMT), the largest professional association for
dentists and dental specialists in the Netherlands, to promote the importance of oral health and
enhance access to oral care throughout the Netherlands. NMT celebrated its 100
th
anniversary at a
Jubilee Congress held at the Beurs van Berlange, Amsterdam, on May 16 and 17, 2014.

While paying tribute to the NMTs century of exceptional service to the Netherlands and the global oral
health community, Stanley M. Bergman, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Henry
Schein, Inc., reminded dentists of the vital connection between oral health and overall health. He
emphasized the critical role that dental professionals must play in educating the public about the overall
benefits of oral health. Mr. Bergman also encouraged the audience to promote the oral health-total
health connection within the government's efforts to improve the health and well-being of the citizens of
the Netherlands.

As part of our deep commitment to supporting dental professionals in the Netherlands, Henry Schein is
proud to partner with the NMT and to support its efforts to expand access to, and promote the
importance of, oral health care, said Mr. Bergman. We are ready to work with the profession to raise
the profile of oral health, which is too often overlooked and underappreciated. We look forward to
continuing to work together to improve oral health across the country for many years to come.

across the Netherlands through oral health programs.

On behalf of Henry Schein, Inc., Henry Schein Cares, the Companys global corporate social
responsibility program, and the Companys dental industry partners, Mr. Bergman presented Dr. Rob
Barnasconi, President of the NMT, with a check for EUR 150.000,00 at the NMTs 100
th
anniversary
ceremony. The donation will support NMTs efforts to advance oral health in the Netherlands through
the NMT Oral Health Fund.

Henry Schein and the NMT both have a strong commitment to promoting oral health, said Dr.
Barnasconi. A healthy mouth is more important than most people think. With the support of our
partners at Henry Schein, we can ensure this topic gets a broader attention and increase awareness.

difference as a serious negotiating partner with various third parties, such as insurers, the government
and the NZa (Dutch Healthcare Authority).
