1. What is Folio?

Just like your bank /demat account number this is the fund account number.
This is also your reference number for your mutual fund transactions in any
particular Mutual Fund. For any correspondence with AMC the folio number is a
must.
All AMCs allot folio numbers at customer leel across all Mutual fund schemes
while Franklin Templeton allots different folio number to each customer for each
scheme.
2. Can ! hae multiple Folios with the same AMC "same scheme in case of Franklin
Templeton#?
$enerally you will be allotted one folio per AMC "e%cept for Franklin Templeton
AMC#. !n case you wish to inest in different Joint &oldin' mode or need to
hae a different nominee in the same scheme or any other reason( you will hae
to select the )*ew Folio+ option at the time of placin' your purchase re,uest.
-y choosin' )*ew Folio+ the purchase inestment the AMC shall allot a new
folio to you. .ou will hae to adhere to minimum initial purchase amount criteria
for the selected scheme.
3. &ow can ! place purchase re,uest in Mutual Fund /chemes usin' the e%istin'
Folios ?
To place a purchase re,uest in an e%istin' folio( you will hae to isit the
01urchase 2rder 3ntry 1a'e4 and select the option )/elect Folio+ appearin'
below the 0/cheme *ame4. 2n clickin' the drop down you will be able to iew
the folio that has been allotted to you for the AMC. /elect the e%istin' folio to
proceed further and make inestments in the same folio.
4. &ow can ! place a purchase transaction in Mutual Fund /chemes usin' the
)*ew Folio+?
!n continuation to point 5 aboe( in case you select the 0*ew Folio4 2ption( you
will be able to make inestment in a new folio. .our inestment in the new folio
will need to adhere to the )Minimum !nitial 1urchase Amount+ criteria.
5. &ow can ! place a purchase transaction in Joint &older Mode in Mutual Fund?
2n selectin' the 0*ew Folio4 option on the 01urchase 2rder 3ntry 1a'e4( you will
'et a drop down to select the re'istered Joint &olders.
.ou can select either one or two of the re'istered Joint &olders to make further
inestments in 6oint holdin' mode.
!n case you do not want to make inestments in 6oint mode( please proceed
without selectin' any of the 6oint holders from the drop down.

!nestment products?
