Corrosion resistance:

It's a well-known fact that copper and its alloys are naturally resistant to corrosion. This
eliminates the problem of brown water. It also means that there will be no clogging of the pipe
bore area, which is a common problem experienced in conventional plumbing systems. Therefore

quality of water and ensures a free flow of water throughout the life of the plumbing system.

Leak-proof jointing System

A time-tested soldering jointing technique is used to join copper pipes and fittings in the copper
plumbing system. This proven system of jointing has been practiced for over half a century across
developed countries. When installed correctly, these joints have a burst pressure in excess of 5000
PSI. This ensures a maintenance free performance of the plumbing system.

Long lasting:

The high tensile strength of copper pipes enables it to withstand high pressures and stress. This,
coupled with a leak-proof jointing system and corrosion resistance makes it a most durable
plumbing material, offering trouble free service, decade after decade.

Excellent pressure handling capability:

Due to their seamless structure and homogeneous jointing system, copper pipes and fittings offer
excellent pressure handling capacity, well beyond the requirement of the systems. For example, a
15mm copper tube has a working pressure of 58 bar (841 PSI) and burst pressure of 240 bar
(3,480 PSI). This makes copper plumbing most suitable for concealed plumbing applications
apart from down takes or risers in the domestic plumbing system.

The inherent qualities of copper piping systems make it suitable for diverse piping applications in
domestic or commercial buildings. In developed countries, a typical household uses copper for
hot and cold water plumbing, gas-piping systems, room heating systems, fire sprinklers and
service lines. Thus making it the most versatile plumbing system.

Low coefficient of linear expansion:

Copper pipes have a very low co-efficient of linear expansion - just 1 mm for every 1 meter at
60C, unlike some of the plastic piping systems, which expand almost 10 to 15 times. This makes
copper one of the most suitable plumbing materials for concealed hot water piping.

Health benefits:

Copper piping systems are safe to use even for drinking water. Copper is a natural inhibitor of
bacteria and organisms like E-coli are naturally destroyed within hours of introduction into the
water system. Also, due to their non-porous structure, copper pipes and fittings are impermeable
to external contaminants such as insecticides and others.
