Patriarch Lineage Table - Adam Through Joseph Karen Jacks 2008 Sacred Hand Publishing Lulu online e-publishing Most lineage charts assume an inconsequential value to the peculiar age details of the genealogy of Adam. Numerical analysis of scripture continues to reveal substructures in the text, illuminated by tools only recently available to enhance this research. Are we perhaps overlooking a unique "master blueprint" pertaining to creation and the sciences? This table provides a clean, organized format to study the exceptionally long life spans of the Biblical patriarchs, from Adam to Joseph. The hidden framework revealed by the inferred "place holding values" chronicled by births, deaths, & key events, in Genesis, sets a stage for careful examination of calendrical cycles, patterns, and numerical codings. Consideration can be given to: Sarah, the only woman whose lineage is recorded in the Bible. Are Sarah's "place holding values" a lunation timepiece? Abraham, born in the Hebrew year 1948, foreshadowing 1948 AD when Israel became a State? Are the end time "days of Noah" coded to his lineage record? Included are: 3 formats (a 1 page overview, a 2 page layout for study & notation, & 2 close-up versions), an unusual 1874 lineage chart, & and brief discussion of possible relevancy. Introduction to the "Patriarch Lineage Table" and the "place holding values" : At rst glance, the Patriarch Table seems to contain an overwhelming amount of numerical data. Yet the inherent value of the area shaded in yellow will become apparent, as the framework of the lineage data is examined. One use of this table a!ords an overview of age relationships, at various junctures in time, of the 25 patriarchs (counting the twins Jacob and Esau) and Sarah (the only matriarch lineage linked to the Genesis text). It is a "Patriarch Table" in the sense that she (Sarah) is woven into the framework, which is quite signicant in itself. The age, at death, of each individual is indicated by a box around the number, as well as showing the "begat" age in bold. In this basic sense of overview, it can easily be seen that Noah is still alive at the time of Abram's (and Sarai's) birth. And Shem, Noah's son, dies at the age of 600, when Jacob is 50 years old, 11 times removed as the ancestor of Shem. Thus Shem is alive during the lifetime of the three foundational fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Israel). The remaining body of numbers will be explained below. In the sequence of lineage information, found in the Book of Genesis (B'reshit) one patriarch is linked to the next by his age of "begetting" the named son and a dened age of death. Thus an inferred age relationship for all successive births and deaths are latent in the text. In the account of life spans of Adam through Noah, the seemingly redundant information about the remaining number of years lived, after the begetting of the son, is given. Page 2 of 4 PLT.rtf 2/21/08 3:00 PM For example: Adam is one hundred and thirty years old when he begets Seth. "Then the days of Adam after he became the father of Seth were eight hundred years, and he had other sons and daughters. So all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years. (Gen. 5:4-6) (No information is given about his age at the birth of Cain or Abel, nor that of Eve's age.) Notice that the years described are written out. The Hebrew language of the text employs "alpha numeric" notation, meaning a word is used to write a number, unlike the Arabic numeral system that we are accustomed to which uses digits. For example: "130" would be a numeric notation and the Hebrew words tamw Mysls (shlwshiym me'ah -"thirty and a hundred") dene this same value. This holds true for all numbers in the "Old Testament" (Tanakh). The use of an alpha numeric system reduces arguable controversy pertaining to the accuracy of this carefully preserved legacy. Perhaps the redundant detail of the "remaining years lived", served to even further eliminate the chance of transcription error since the remaining years + the age at fatherhood had to = the age at death. For purposes of this writing all numbers are referred to by Arabic numerals. It should also be mentioned that the system of letter/ number equivalency, commonly known as "Gematria" (where each letter of the Hebrew or Greek alphabet corresponds to a specic number value) has been a cherished esoteric teaching among Jewish sages dating back many centuries, if not further. Thus, another layer of patterned information may be preserved in these words as well. The Hebrew language is considered to be the tongue of angels and God's Sacred Living Torah Or- Language of Light. The size of this table does not permit calling out the "remaining years" relationships, but later charts will be available to demonstrate the proportional values indicated and the possible implications. Easily revealed by simple addition, Seth's son is born to him at age 105, therefore Adam is 235... and so proceeds the entire chart. Thus, "place holding values" describe a greater eld of relativity, even extending beyond the age at death. The area shaded in yellow preserves and displays this relative context for examination of a potential pulse or pattern. There is a distinct and recognized function of the continued "place holding values" of Adams life, since it is equivalent to the "years of mankind" used to dene the Hebrew calendar/dating system. The Hebrew year of 3761 BCE marks the "year of beginning to keep records", i.e. Adam at 0. This number/formula is added to the Gregorian calendar year each Fall at Rosh Hashanah to obtain the Hebrew date. Thus from the start of the Jewish New Year in 2007 we entered the year 5768. If this BCE date is accurate, and there is reason to believe it is, a continuity extends far beyond the life span of the last Patriarch (Joseph) from whom we have birth/death information. Though not without some controversy and conjecture, this standard is established in Rabbinical teachings. Page 3 of 4 PLT.rtf 2/21/08 3:00 PM The inferred "place holding values" also reveal distinct cycles and patterns, seen particularly in the latter patriarchs (Peleg onwards) who had shorter life spans. Though this charting method outlines an overview of linear information, a even greater wealth of insight can be found by transposition into circular geometry terms. It is clear from the time cycles recording Noah's Flood (Gen 7 & 8), that a 360 degree timepiece was employed to convey the story. Aided by the use of computers and readily available engineering calculators, current research proceeds on numerical codes, found not only in the lineage record of the patriarchs, but also in the census of the Tribes of Israel, the ransom number of the Levites, Jacob's labor story, and so much more. A profound and inexhaustible territory of beauty, mathematical wisdom, and a legacy of great import is revealed in deeper consideration of the text. It is my belief that information is almost holographically distributed, if you will, in the writings. It is in this context that the words of the Psalmist seem to take on an expanded meaning... "You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overows." Psalms 23:5 The hebrew word for table is "shulchan" Nxls - a table (as spread out); by implication, a meal. The word root of "table" is "shalach" xls - to send, let go, to stretch out, extend, to shoot forth. "Shalach" is notably the word root of the patriarchal name of Enoch's son -"Methuselah" xlswtm, the man whose age approached the 1000 year mark, having died in the year of the ood. Has the lineage table gone unnoticed as a complex record until our ability to read it increased? Though many will refer to the following passage in Matthew, regarding "the end times", in an attempt to prove an almost complete inability to understand time oriented prophecy, it in fact DOES NOT preclude against gaining other types of preparatory information. "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. For in the days before the ood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the ood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man." (Mat 24:36-39) Could the table, help focus on the "days of Noah", revealing a higher blueprint of survival, in addition to the warnings against immorality and apathy? What does the 120 year period, prior to the ood, indicate about preparation? Much conjecture has been made about the curious declaration, made by God in Genesis 6:3. "Then the Lord said, 'My Spirit shall not strive with man forever because he also is esh, nevertheless his days shall be 120 years." See Noah's age at 480 for the possible onset of this time frame. Page 4 of 4 PLT.rtf 2/21/08 3:00 PM Sarah and the lunation cycle: Ancient civilizations, throughout time, have had various means of mapping solar/lunar periods. Many types of unique terrestrial time pieces and methods of charting the data continue to be found by research in this area. Orientation to rhythmic cycles and the management of record keeping mathematics involved using round numbers and fractional values. Solar and lunar time periods such as the metonic, synodic, and nodal cycles or the sidereal (star) periods such as the draconic, and saronic reveal the attempts to manage these gures throughout history. Listed below are but a few examples of possible corespondances found in the table. Almost exactly 235 consecutive lunations occur in 19 solar years, currently know as a Metonic cycle. Sarah's "place holding values" display 4 links to this cycle. 19 x 2= 38 (her age at Peleg's death), 19 x 4= 76 (her age at Ishmael's birth), 19 x 10 =190 (her post death place value when Esau married at age 40, with Reu's post death value on the same line as 361), and 19 x 15 = 285 (her post death place value when the famine of Egypt was over). 361 (19 x 19), a grand lunation cycle, is also found in both Lamech's line and Abraham's. Adam is 235 when his grandson Enosh was born, Eber is 235 when Sarai is born. Other divisions of 19 occur in the death ages of Seth, Noah, and Methusaleh. Careful study of other celestial cycles, in relation to this unique table, point to other correspondences such as Mars, which takes 687 days to travel around the sun relative to the stars. Adam is 687 when Methusaleh is born. Notice that in Adams "place holding value" of 1948 (equal to the "years of mankind"- 1813 BCE) we nd the year of Abram's birth. Some have drawn attention to this unique reduplication of the very year that Israel was declared an independent State and became recognized by the United Nations as a Country. Lastly, inclusion of the unusual 1874 Bible page illustrating a "Chrono-Genealogical table, showing the lineal descent of Jesus Christ" is included as a rather interesting means of depicting lineage time periods. Plans for future publications include: Census of the Tribes of Israel chart, Jacob's labor story, and Circular geometry and proportion value maps of Biblical correspondences. In conclusion: These examples are simply a few of the pattern types that the table displays. And let it be clear that in NO way am I alluding to the work of clever Israelites hiding secret codes in a contrived story line. Rather I am intent on drawing attention to the incredible Hand of God upon His creation. The blueprint of Divine Order displays itself everywhere, from the 6 fold symmetry of the snowake to the twining nite order of the DNA sequence of man. To His Glory all praise is worthy.
