Entrepreneur : Tim Witherland

Tim Witherland started his business because he saw a specific emptiness in the market where he lived.
There was no store in his town that stored inexpensive, good foreign made cookware. So he took
advantage of this situation and opened a retail store that sells foreign cookware.
He encountered many obstacles along his way, yet he did not give up until he reached his aim. He stays
up till late night and works 7 days some weeks in order to keep the store up and running. He currently
employs 20 workers. He personally attends too all employees work to monitor and evaluate their work
and identify the progress of the store. Workers are highly motivated and thrilled to work under Tim.

Entrepreneur : Mary Aniston
Mary Aniston owns a Pharmaceutical store, which she started 5 years ago. This was her dream for a long
time and she planned well ahead and set timely goals in order to achieve her dream. As a single mother
she met with many problems throughout this 5 year period. But she never gave up and continuously
fought for her dream.
She has adopted methods such as six sigma so that she can gain maximum profits from lower level of
resource consumption. She quit her job at a marketing firm to start this store, even though it was the only
income she had for both her and her son. She has 2 more workers working with het at the pharmacy. She
works alone on the weekend in order to gain more income even though it has lead to sacrificing spending
time with her son.

Entrepreneur : Dylan Smith
After working for 7 years for an advertising agency, Dylan Smith started his own Marketing firm. He had
a good job earlier at the advertising agency with a steady income. But he left that job to start his own
firm with a strong will and readiness to meet the uncertainties.
Currently he has 40 workers working at his Marketing firm. He sets attainable and measurable goals and
encourages employees to do so too. He monitors and evaluated all employees work and provides
feedback. Thereby Dylan has maintained a good reputation among his employees. He has established a
separate division within the firm with 10 employees to carry out market research and analysis to identify
industry trends and competitor behavior.

Entrepreneur : Karl Lewis
Karl Lewis has his own small Restaurant which he started 7 years ago. He his highly successful and is
one of the major players in the industry. He does not follow a low cost strategy, but instead focuses on
providing high quality food and on time services to his customers.
Two years ago he faced some fierce competition and almost got bankrupted. But due to his determination
and Never give up policy he survived in the industry. He has always given a 100% of his time and
effort to developing his restaurant and bringing it to the position it is in today.
Even though the current economic conditions are not too good, he is planning on opening a new branch
of his restaurant in the suburb. He has already set specific and measurable aims for this new branch
which can be measured over time.
