General information
Weather in the Pilbara, April;
Day time temperature range is between 27 to 41 C average is 36
Night time temperature range is between 14 and 29 C average is 26

You will need:
Good walking shoes and reef walkers or shoes which grip in water
Casual clothes including T-shirts, shorts, jeans, long sleeved shirt, swim togs, hat or cap,
And some good casual clothes for town wear

There will be costs which will be yours to pay ie; alcoholic beverages.

SITE TOURS: Where noted, you will need to be dressed in long cotton trousers and have a long sleeved
cotton shirt and wear closed in sturdy shoes.




This itinerary has been prepared to assist anyone who would like to visit the region. For people flying in, hire from
one of our local providers and drive yourself around the region. You may wish to undertake some 4 wheel drive
training before you commence the adventure and ensure you abide by the rules of remote area travel. Enjoy!

Back in the vehicles and check out J offre and Knox

Lets spend some time at Kalamina Gorge

Well have lunch when we are hungry and make a
shortish day of it today, relax and stay away from
the clock.


Back to the Retreat and freshen up then Dinner at
the restaurant.

My Pilbara Adventure: Day 7 Saturday 5 April 2014

Need to be up early today
Did you hear the wildlife last night?

Meet Pete West MD of West Oz Active
Host for the Red Gorge Tour
J oin the bus ready for a fun active day.
Karijini's big day out! The trip commences at
Knox Gorge as we lower you into the restricted
areas & a tricky shuffle through a very narrow,
steep section, then getting into the water and
sliding around a twisting channel and straight
off a 5m waterfall.
We then abseil down the next waterfall before
reaching stunning Red gorge. Its time for
Morning Tea. Then with the aid of our inner
tubes and paddles. We sit back and take in the
spectacle of this timeless country. Once we
arrive at Junction pool its time for lunch. Then
we make our way to Hancock gorge and begin
to ascend up the chute onwards to Reagan's
Pool. An Assisted Climb allows us to traverse
via rope to Kermit's Pool, the Spider walk &
exiting at Weano Day use area.
We finish the day with a cold drink, taking in
the epic journey we have just completed.
