A REVIEW OF LMHI (INDIAN CHAPTER) FIRST

NATIONAL CONFERENCE
The Indian chapter of Liga Medicorum Homoeopathica Internationalis
(LMHI) organized their first National Conference on 24
th
and 25
th
May,
2014 at Hotel Piccadily, New Delhi. Mr. Nilanjan Sanyal, Secretary,
Department of AYUSH, Ministry of H&FW, Govt. of India, inaugurated the
conference. Dr. R.N. Radha, Advisor (Homoeopathy), Department of
AYUSH, Govt. Of India congratulated the organizers and highlighted the
efforts undertaken by the Government of India for development of
Homoeopathy. Dr.S.P.S.Bakshi, President, LMHI Indian chapter, Dr.Alok
Pareek, LMHI Prime Vice-President (International), Dr.R.K.Manchanda,
Director General, CCRH, Dr. Ramji Singh, President, CCH and a host of
other homoeopathic stalwarts graced the occasion.
The first scientific session delved on scope of Homoeopathy in Paediatric
practice and the keynote speaker, Dr.J.D. Dariyani, shared his clinical
experiences with some rare drugs in paediatric practice. Dr.Farokh Master
presented a video recording of a case of meningococcal encephaphalitis
with wonderful result. Dr.Vishpala Parthasarthy discussed the
methodology of homoeopathic prescribing through three paediatric clinical
case studies. In the second session, Dr. Leena Dighe, Dr. Nandini Sharma
and Dr.Babita Rasheed enlightened the audience through their clinical
experiences in cases of Nephrotic syndrome, OCD & ADHD respectively.
Dr. Bipin Jethani shared his experience in a case of Thalessemia Major
highlighting the scope of Homoeopathy and the importance of anamnesis.
The post lunch session, chaired by Dr.R.K.Manchanda, centered on
presentations on fundamental & basic research in Homoeopathy from
members of CCRH. Simultaneously, in another hall, speakers such as Dr.
Tanvir Hussain, Dr. Tarang Krishna, Dr. A.K. Gupta, Dr. Nishant Daryani
underscored the efficacy of homoeopathic treatment in difficult cases such
as CML, ALL etc. through their case studies.
In the last session of the day, Dr.Neeraj Gupta gave an informative lecture
regarding leaching properties of plastic vials used in storing & dispensing
of homoeopathic medicines while Dr. Nishant Jain called attention to finer
aspects of GMP especially testing of medicinal plant material.
The second day of the conference began with Dr.Ajit Kulkarnis wonderful
presentation on homoeopathic perspective of Mental retardation in which
he laid emphasis on the importance of astute observation in case
perceiving. During this session, speakers such as Dr. Sanjeev Narula & Dr.
Gaurav Kakkar shared their methodologies of case analysis in cases of
Juvenile diabetes while Dr. Geeta Rani Arora underscored the importance
of emotional state in pregnancy through paediatric case studies. In the
second session, Saurav Arora, Dr. Sameer Chaukkar, Dr. Purnima Shukla
and Dr. Smita Brahmachari drew attention to their angles of prescribing in
varied clinical conditions such as Subclinical Hypothyroidism, Autism,
Uterine Fibroid and Atopic dermatitis respectively. The last scientific
session centered on case study presentations by Dr. Sudhir Batra, Dr.
Gyandas Wadhwani, Dr. Pawan Pareek whereby each speaker emphasized
on homoeopathic approach of case perceiving and prescribing.
This conference that gave enormous learning avenues ended with
valedictory session and a hope that Indian chapter of LMHI shall keep this
torch of learning ever bright through its regular annual conferences.
